Barceló Torre de Hotel

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay at this hotel during our short trip to Madrid! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and everything inside worked perfectly.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing—something that’s often hard to find! I especially loved the variety of choices while enjoying a mimosa. A special thank you to Laura, who went above and beyond to help create a memorable birthday surprise for my wife!

From start to finish, everything was perfection. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

Amazing hotel and staff ! Breakfast was very good. We had a small issue and it was sorted out as soon as they got to know about it. Very well handled by Maria. We had a wonderful stay at Barcelo Torre de Madrid.

I’m glad we chose this hotel. Super close to the palace and other central places. Spacious rooms with good modern style. Services are awesome. Friendly front desk recommended good local restaurants. Kids love the frequent small presents (chocolates fruits etc). Will definitely choose this hotel again

Funny because my wife thought this was a 3-star hotel :) This is definitely not a 5-star hotel. I understand that you can't renovate everything to keep up with new and modern hotels, but yeah it's pretty dated. We came here from a 4-star hotel and it was much better and cheaper. The service was great, front desk recommended a nice restaurant and made reservations for us. Breakfast was good. Hotel is probably good for kids because big playground is right outside of the hotel.

Checked in at 3:30pm and the room was not ready even though they had informed us that check in was at 2pm. Room is a 1 star given that I have no room to even look at since i couldn’t check in. Service was absolutely atrocious by the concierge. We were attended by someone who was clearly new and was extremely slow in keying in our details. She had a poor command of english and could not explain the situation to us that our room was not ready. She was consistently asking a supervisor for assistance, who did not help speed the process up at all. While she offered us water, my partner found this lady, Cristal to be rude. When asked why was the room not ready at 3:30pm, all she said was that “check in is at 2pm”. And so…? if check in starts at 2pm shouldn’t the rooms be ready already? Agree with another reviewer that the service gives me 3 stars or less vibes. take your money elsewhere.

EDIT: after checking in, the room was actually quite comfortable, clean and sufficiently spacious. They had also provided all necessary amenities. The only downside was that although the shower and toilet were segregated, there was no main door to the bathroom, which would have been preferred. Our stay and opinion of the service was saved by three staff, in particular Patricia, who really went out of her way to make our vacation in madrid an extremely memorable and special one for my partner. As such, I have amended my rating, and would recommend staying here but would strongly encourage the hotel to ensure greater consistency in quality of service across all staff.

The hotel had a fantastic location, and our room view was a perfect 10/10. The room was spacious and clean, but the staff was not helpful at all—they didn’t provide service even at the level of a 2-star hotel. The breakfast was fitting for a 4-star hotel. Overall, I would rate this 5-star hotel as 4 stars.

We stayed twice at this hotel during the last month and it cannot be faulted at all. Excellent location opposite Plaza d’Espana and Gran Via. There are literally dozens of restaurants and bars at your doorstep. The hotel itself is luxurious. Our room was spacious with a huge and comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was also very spacious and fitted out with quality amenities. Breakfast was of a high quality with a wide range of hot foods, cold cuts, salads, fresh fruit and much more. The staff were also first rate. Our check in experience was great and every staff member was courteous and friendly. William and Patricia were particularly exceptional in answering our questions and providing advice. It was a great experience staying here and would definitely come again.

What a wonderful property! The location is fantastic and close to many of the landmarks you want to see. There is a subway station directly out the front door for convenient access to the city. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had a wonderful selection of food. But, by far the best part of our stay was the staff. Sonia was magnificent. She greeted us upon arrival and offered to make dinner reservations at a wonderful restaurant that was directly across from the palace. Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Highly recommend.

I CANNOT SAY BETTER THINGS ABOUT THIS HOTEL. I went with my family. Our room was absolutely amazing, huge, spotless, and super comfortable! the mattress of the king bed was better than my own! My kids slept in a sofa bed and they also told me it was super comfortable. We totally loved that room!
Breakfast is literally to die for, I have never seen such a big variety of breakfast items, including Gluten Free option for my celiac family members. This hotel has one of the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. And the staff is super kind and very attentive, Sonia Palmero is the star of the hotel, and her kindness and also being so on top of everything with such a bright smile. Igor and Gustavo that took care of our luggages were also great. We also love Ahmad from the reception, he is very attentive and meticulous. We got very spoiled by Cristina and Elena from the breakfast area, amazing people! Overall I would stay in Barcelo Torre de Madrid every time I go to Madrid, it is perfectly located too! walking distance to everything! We LOVED our stay!

Visited Spain for our daughter’s 24th birthday. We had a good fortune of staying at this location while in Madrid.
Beautifully decorated and conveniently situated in the heart of it all.
The staff did a fantastic job and providing her with loads of birthday treats.
While champagne and cakes awaited us when we arrived.
The best times were the late nights on the veranda listening to music and having a few drinks.
