Excellent option for a short stay, close to everything, very nice hotel

My stay at Hotel Catalonia Gran Vía Madrid was overall very good. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a great city view, making it a fantastic deal for the price, especially in the heart of Madrid. However, the service was quite slow, and the staff struggled with ordering a taxi, which meant we had to wait outside multiple times. Also, there were no bathrobes, which was a small inconvenience. Despite these issues, the hotel itself was nice, and the location is unbeatable. With some improvements in service, it could be an even better experience.

Near Gran Via main street of Madrid. Large room. Clean, sufficient amenities.

No windows. It was like a maze to find room. Breakfast was so-so. Booked a double room but got a twin room.

The shower in room 230 was broken, and water would spray everywhere in the bathroom. The basic room was very small, and there was no 25 square meters as claimed, and the 30-inch suitcase could not be opened.

The location is excellent, but other than that there is nothing special about it. The hotel room is relatively small. It feels like it is almost impossible to check in with a 30-inch suitcase without 25 square meters.

The location of this hotel was very good and you are essentially just paying for that. Stayed here for two nights during off season. Paid $270 per night. For a 4 star hotel, I was disappointed with the instant coffee in the room. I also requested room cleaning at noon and when I returned at 6 p.m. it still was not complete. Also found a broken piece of glass in the bathroom, luckily no injuries. Overall, a decent hotel in a prime location but lacks in everything else.

The hotel is amazing, the lobby is very lively and the vibes are warm and cozy. The staff of the hotel are super helpful and most importantly super friendly and welcoming specially Enrique, David, and Jesus. They made our stay super special🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

If you want to stay in a patio room at this price, go for it. It's a rip off. Two windows open, noisy and patio. I don't know what a patio room is in Europe. Search it on Baidu. It's a rubbish hotel.

The hotel is renovated. The interior is very clean. It has 7 floors. The lifts are a bit old-fashioned, but it does not affect the hotel. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is between two metro stations (Gran Via & Seville). There is a bus stop at the door. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to the Primark shopping mall. , within 15 minutes of walking to the Bear and Berry Tree and the main square, Plaza Mayor.
