Hotel Puerta America

This is a very unique hotel. Every floor has its own design
I was on floor 4 which was very metallic and glass design.
It was weird and the metallic features carried on in the bedrooms.
I found the bathroom a bit weird especially the shower , it’s meant to be modern metallic again but for me it I thought it was too crazy
It was comfortable and quiet though
Breakfast was okay nothing special
Staff were very friendly and a short walk to the main areas in Madrid

Our stay at this hotel was good. The bathrooms and beds were clean, however there were stains on the carpet. Some of the latches and light fixtures were broken. I'd probably stay at another hotel next time. Overall 4/5.

This hotel is an architectural treat! Stayed for a quick overnight stay and the quality of design did not disappoint. The hotel is in a really convenient location (near to a couple of metro stops) and not far from Madrid airport.

I stayed on the Kathryn Findlay floor which was beautifully crafted but as with its age there was quite a bit of wear and tear which was more noticeable in an all-white room.

The lifts being panoramic was a nice touch and I enjoyed being able to visit the foyer of each floor. Breakfast was enjoyable and there was a vast spread. There were a couple of instances where my unfinished food was cleared away whilst not at my seat as I was travelling alone but nothing major.

The reception staff were helpful with storing luggage pre check-in and post check-out and overall I would recommend for a short unique trip and would love to visit again to experience another floor!

This is mecca for those who appreciate fine hotels and design. Imagine curating one of the world's most famous designer museums where people actually live in the artworks, and you have an idea of the epic achievement and difficulty of the task. After being helped by the reservations department to find the perfect room, stayed on the 10th floor designed by renowned architect Arata Isozaki. The Pritzker Prize-winning architect designed the floor to reflect Japanese tradition, emphasizing tranquility and balance. For me it was comfort and beauty with Japanese panels opening to a grand view of the city center, dual soft and waterfall showers. I'm eager to visit again to experience the other famous designers.
The only issue I had is I like to watch TV in bed so chose a room with big TV opposite comfortable queen bed. But the Smart TV was not smart enough to sign into my streaming apps or cast my phone or tablet apps to it. This needs to be refined to allow customers to add or cast any streaming app or it defeats the purpose of having Smart TV's when half or more now stream their TV.
Otherwise it was perfect in almost every way and earned all 5 stars, including a breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice and about everything else to start the day with a smile.

Comfortable bed to sleep in but the framing jutted out, which we did bump into. The AC, tv, and fridge worked well. The hotel's facilities were good. Excellent restaurant and bar. Each floor was designed differently, which was interesting to see. The room itself was a bit stylish but not so practical. I was a bit scared the toilet was going to come off the wall every time I used it. The glass door for the shower did not close all the way. The lighting for the bathroom mirror was not great, so applying makeup was an issue. Hair dryer was bad, so we didn't use it.

Excellent hotel but you should know what you are signing up for!
Here are few things and observations that will hopefully help:
1. The hotel is designed with amazing taste but there might be some interior design features in your room that won't work for you. For example, we've got a room with bath which was amazing but I can imagine that someone with reduced mobility won't be thrilled. My advice would be to consider asking about these things in advance, if you can.
2. Breakfasts are amazing and will easily accommodate celiacs.
3. Pool area is not very big but it is pretty pretty awesome.
4. The staff was wonderful, and I mean the whole staff, whoever we've dealt with.
5. 0 noise from the street in the room even if the hotel is close to the boulevard.
6. Parking is readily available but somewhat pricy, we've used it for a day and then left the car close by in another paid parking that was half the price more or less.
7. You have tons of options to get anywhere in the city from here, either with public transport, taxi, Uber etc.
8. We've had fantastic view from our room.
9. We've had a project with a screen for when we've got tired from the view hehe.

All of that said, we've enjoyed our stay tremendously and would not hesitate to come back again!

This hotel definitely met our expectations in terms of innovation and aesthetic. We stayed in the Zaha Hadid rooms downstairs so we didn’t get a great view but would definitely come back to check out the other rooms in future. The rooms were well equipped with basic amenities and some you would expect for a 5 star hotel like dressing gowns and slippers. There were some toiletries in the bathroom too but nothing fancy. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower although a little complicated at first is very nice. There is a tv (which offer channels in many languages), safe and an empty mini fridge which is great to put your complimentary water and other drinks you can buy. The bed itself is extremely comfortable and a queen size which is spacious for 2. I would say I wished they had usb sockets as the plug socket was too small for our plugs we brought so had to buy another. I would also say that the rooms maybe need a bit of sprucing up as some areas you could tell were old like the carpet. The team at the hotel were great however and were very accommodating and helpful!. There is a small pool which I believe is open during summer, we didn’t try it but it was quite small especially for the amount of people who would use it and it’s also in an area that isn’t well sunlit so looks cold. There are 2 restaurants but the service in there was not great but food and drinks were excellent. I prefer the downstairs menu but the view of the upstairs restaurant. Thank you for a great stay and we will certainly be back!

Fantastic artsy hotel, each floor had a different designer offering cool vibes. The staff was friendly and helpful and they had a great breakfast spread. Close to anything you want to see. Sixth floor felt like it was from a Kubrick film
