This is a lovely authentic Cretan hotel with a fabulous roof top terrace and great views. The breakfast buffet was great too. The only issues for me were the very hard bed and the 42 steps up to our room, which when you forget your phone is a challenge!

Hotel located in the Venetian part of Chania, close to many taverns, shops and beaches. Staff were wonderful and helpful when required. The room we had was spacious and nicely restored. Common area balcony overlooked the harbor and was a great place to relax during the evenings. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

So, first get away following Covid and we searched for somewhere central and a decent price. Have to say this one was such a success that we were so pleased. In the old town and 3 mins walk from the harbour where most people end up, it could not be much better (except for a Seaview which of course adds ££s to the price). Lovely stay Amazing stay in the middle of old town and yet quiet.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved our rooftop deck. The breakfast was fresh and varied. A bit hard to access as you can not drive close to it but once you know where it is, loved the Old Town location.

Can’t thank Katrina enough for my luggage was lost by the airline and she went out of her way to help us when the airline was not being very helpful. The hotel was outstanding the only issue was that it is difficult to get to with luggage as there is no car access and no parking near the hotel. But everything else is outstanding

Room was comfortable enough for 2 days, but it smelled of urine. No matter how many times you flush, the urine smell permeates the entire room. You will hear loud music until about 4:00a in Oldtown. Aside from those two things the hotel was okay. Breakfast was good. Felt safe. Perfect location if you desire to be in Old Town.

Another good week at Candia Hotel. From the moment we entered the doorsteps, we have enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a helpful and welcoming staff, it is clean and well maintained. Great location, especially if you book a room with balcony. The view was fantastic! The rooms are rather basic, but the beds were fine and the water pressure good so nothing to complain about there. We got a fridge which was nice. In short, if you calibrate expectations for a basic hotel with no frills then this is a good place to stay.

If you come by car, the landmark is Sklavenitis. There are many roadside parking lots in the alleys nearby. If you are worried about your car being hit, it would be safer to find a parking lot. Parking nearby and walking distance to the accommodation are very close, great accommodation environment. The view from the balcony is really beautiful.

The location is excellent and quiet. It is within a ten-minute walk from the bus center. Next door is a restaurant highly recognized by locals, which is not expensive. Just around the corner, you can reach the bay and the lighthouse. The downside is that there is no elevator. But climbing one or two floors is still acceptable.

Nice room with really cold floor but really hot water. Great location, make sure pay attention for check in details, or you’ll end up wandering around in circles looking for entrance and reception. Noise from street will disturb a light sleeper, but comfortable bed will compensate.

If you have a car and traveling with luggage, this hotel is not for you. Finding a parking is very hard. The hotel advertised "free off-site parking" is a lie. They are referring to the city public parking. I recommend ******* to have them change that. We wouldn't booked that hotel knowing that. Our room had a wood seeling. Very noisy. The accommodation was perfect! Very close to the central bus station for cheap trips to the beach if desired. My accommodation was right at the old city’s centre and it was lovely. A bit noisy at night as there are singers that perform on the streets but that stops around 11 pm. The hotel staff were always present and very accommodating and nice. Would highly recommend!

Will Definitely Stay Again The staff were all very friendly and plenty of them speak English. The condition of the room was fanatic! Beautiful property and very convenient location to Old Town. The one downside is parking. I read somewhere that the property had parking, but it turned out to not have any. We were lucky enough to find parking nearby when we arrived, but then we didn't want to drive anywhere after that for fear of losing our parking spot. I booked this hotel for 3 nights at €238 . I was given a fully refurbished room, walk in shower, fridge, aircon, balcony etc This is a no frills hotel but the basics are quality. The worst experience was the behaviour of Gwgw, the lady on the reception. Rude and impolite. She also lied about the breakfast offer...they hadn't at all . A second theme was the smell on the bath at evenings. Everything else was fine. The best thing is the women who clean the room every day. Smiley and polite.

We stayed here for 5 nights, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is insanely central, everywhere in the city centre is within walking distance. We had a view of the old port which was incredible, and the room was clean and looked new and renovated. We stayed there one night whilst on a road trip but will be back for longer sometime soon. Gena one of the family owners is awesome and very welcoming, although we only had the one night it was like we'd known her for ages, highly recommended. Great hotel, I stayed there in July and it was also really good value. Super friendly staff and management. Ask for the honeymoon suite to see the most amazing headboard - a definite period piece. I would happily return as it is very close to the old town too.

My nine days stay was not the best. The hotel is located on a very busy road, and when you open the balcony door to seat outside apart from the noise you get the mosquitos too as there are no fly screens. My bathroom sink was cracked. Decent hotel for those on a budget. Rooms are small and walls are thinly insulated so you can hear your neighbors pretty well. Showers are a square about 30 inches by 30 inches with only a shower curtain as an enclosure. No breakfast included. It is very close to the port and downtown Chania and rooms are clean.
