If you are looking for a budget-friendly place to stay in the city centre, opt for this hotel. Location is excellent, just 2 minutes away from underground and tram stop.
Bed was comfy, room on the smaller side but ok for a couple of nights. The staff was great!

Hotel position is excellent room was nice clean and ideal for the two of us. Breakfast was OK with quite a bit of choice. Would recommend. This didn't affect us but the air con wasn''t working but the fan in the room on full speed was enough.

I had a really great one-week stay (and my fourth visit) in Budapest. Everyone was friendly and no request was too much. I'd love to return soon.

Wow, what a place.
From the quirky wallpaper in the hallways and rooms. To the old school game console in the foyer.
Close to some great restaurants,cafes, and bars. We totally recommend this place when in Budapest

We were staying at room no. 425.
The room was not sufficiently clean (several blood stains on the carpet, dirty curtain).
Also, the toilet was not attached to the floor properly and wobbled during use.
After talking with the staff about the level of cleanliness, we were told they will check what can be done and if it's possible to switch room but they never bothered to get back to us with a solution.
When my spouse asked if it's possible to put a chair in the room, she was told by the employee in the lobby that it was not possible and he gave the impression that the very request was strange and puzzling.
I would like to point out that we enjoyed the location of the hotel and also the breakfast, both the food and the staff and their kindness.

In my opinion, the best deal when it comes to hotel in Budapest, affordable and best value for the money, I stayed with my gf multiple times and for like 4-5 days each time, good normal breakfast, nice rooms, awesome location, easy to reach all the spots in Budapest by metro, bus or on foot.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent and friendly. The only issue was the rooms are advertised with air conditioning and they are not.
The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable.
Ibis is located in the city center which made it very convenient for us to walk to all the places we wanted to visit. There are many Ibis hotels to choose from in Budapest, so look carefully for the location you would prefer.

We chose Ibis in part as it said on the website there was air conditioning. It was a very hot few days (almost 27C in our room) but the ac did not work. When I complained to Reception I was told that it had been turned off for winter! (Clocks turned from spring to summer time that night). They gave us a fan but it was still very hot and also noisy as we had to open the windows. It's a shame as the reception ladies were very friendly and polite and the rooms are pretty good (the deluxe, larger rooms). It was a nice, humorous touch to put 'You look nice' on the mirror. The breakfast was ok, not great quality but plenty. Also, the building itself outside is crumbling and there are danger warnings as you arrive! Not ideal,especially for a global brand where I thought safety would be important.

Rooms were ok. I was happy with my room but my friends had a twin room and it was too warm. Even though it was in late March, the weather was pretty warm but the aircon was not available.
Service during check in was bad in the evening. Spent 20 mins at the check in counter and the two gentlemen had no clue and it was frustrating.
Location was great. Easy walk to the Jewish district and the 100E bus stop.

We had a very enjoyable stay in a quiet room (as requested) on comfortable beds. Metro stations and train station are very close by along with convenience shops. New York Cafe is a block away. The complementary coffee machine in the lobby was appreciated as was the varied selection at the Breakfast buffet. I felt I had the choice of an American style breakfast with the waffle maker being available or a more European breakfast of cold cuts and cheese and breads. The day staff was very friendly and accommodating but the night staff was not as professional.
