Most beautiful, luxurious and well ran hotel me and my wife have ever stayed at. The attention to details they put into your stay to personalize your experience brought me and my wife to tears as this was a trip for our baby-moon. They greeted us in our room with a handwritten note, baby shoes and a onesie for our newest addition to our family with an incredible slice of chocolate cake. The staff was distinguished and extremely attentive always willing to go the extra mile, the restaurant and bar (the Dutches) were impeccable and nothing can match that view of the palace hill on Buda side. I could go on all day, breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel with incredible variety and again staff was just amazing, 10/10 service and experience from top to bottom at this hotel. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week. The rooms are very high quality and equipped with good technology - especially the lighting in the rooms is fantastic. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the room service was excellent. If I am ever in Budapest again, I will come back.

High luxury hotel. The high-floor suites have amazing view. Even though the hotel is located on the busiest street in the city, you can hardly hear any noise. And because of its location, you can walk to most of the attractions.

The breakfast deserves a special praise. Lots of choices and perfectly prepared. I love their coffee and it turns out that they have their own/special coffee beans.

The SPA area was relatively small but cozy. My only minor complaint is that the iron tea pot for “hot tea” was never hot. But the whole area is really relaxing.

I highly recommend this model.

Perhaps one of the most perfect hotels we have stayed at, and we have stayed at too many to count. The rate is a huge bargain for the hotel. Built in a renovated historic building in old Budapest, it has all the character that goes with that , but yet very modern up to date rooms. Lobby is wonderful, the Michelin starred Spago is totally fabulous. Rooftop bar is as nice and chic as you will find anywhere. Great location, rooms wonderful, with a larger water room in the bathroom. Super quiet. Hotel would be fabulous at twice the current price . Cannot recommend highly enough .

The location is ideal for the Pest side (east of Danube)of Budapest. Close to many tourist sites and good restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is great (but can be pricey). Rooms were outstanding. Workers were great too. Front desk people were knowledgeable and very polite. As an American (sorry), it was wonderful that everyone that we ran into spoke English very well. I would definitely stay again.

We booked 4D3N for our vacation in Matlid Budapest. We arrived very late at the hotel but the arrival experience is superb.
We book Matlid King room at room 105 , the room is very spacious and very advance IOT use in the room eg: electric curtain, lighting & air conditioners.

The bathroom is very beautifully decorated with blue & gold tiles with big bathtub enough for 2 persons to soak together. Bathroom Experience: 10/10

They provide very comfortable bed, mattress, pillows and blanket. We had excellent 3 nights rest

The hotel serve most delicious breakfast with lots of various options to choose from, I can say one of the best Breakfast for our this Europe trip. The staffs are very attentive and well-trained.

The hotel is located in the city center. There are shops around. You can walk to the attractions. After all, Budapest has many attractions.
Service: Overall, I am very satisfied. Every staff member will ask if you need help and take the initiative to help with the luggage. The plane arrived at the hotel at about 10:30 in the morning. I waited for more than 10 minutes before the room was given to me.
You must also choose breakfast. There are not many types of breakfast, but they are very delicate. Every dish is very good. There are single dishes and buffets. Breakfast is in the hotel’s own Michelin restaurant on the first floor.

Talk about the shortcomings: I booked a Matilda Suite, but I was given the most basic king-size bed room? ? ? I didn’t react until the third day of my stay, so I didn’t negotiate with the hotel.

The hotel is not large, but the facilities are very new.
The sanitation is still quite satisfactory. Some places that are not easy to see need to be cleaned! Overall, it is still recommended!

One of my favorite Marriott properties I’ve ever stayed at and a credit to the luxury collection. It was between this and the ritz down the street and I was not disappointed by my choice! The platinum benefits were top notch and I appreciated the upgrade. Unfortunately didn’t have time for the roof top bar (I’ve heard it’s a must see) but I did go to the spa and found it to be an incredibly relaxing experience. Service all the way from the door men to the spa receptionist was excellent. Breakfast was good too, and mercifully served until 11 so you can still catch a bit even if you enjoy a morning soaking in your luxurious bathtub.

I had initially left a great review because we were treated very nicely. But, then when we stateside, we received a five hundred dollar charge. We've contacted the hotel multiple times just to say that it was amenities, which everything I paid for out of pocket. If you're not from this country, do not stay here because they will charge you and they will not have any explanation as to what the charges are for, nor documentation, nor any itemized receipts. Their checks and balance don't add up. Instead of being cooperative and at giving any kind of itemized receipt, they decide to put it in dispute, which is absolutely ridiculous, because I do have screenshots of everything that I paid for that night. If you live in the country, stay here, but if you don't absolutely avoid this hotel at all cost. This was a booking done in favor of my birthday, and they kind of have absolutely wrecked that. A treasurable memory went absolutely went wrong.
