Florence, Viale Antonio Gramsci 16 🧭 Map
Beautiful apartment, well-appointed room, everything you need, excellent daily cleaning, wonderful location, magnificent veranda with breathtaking views! We loved everything!
Thank you! We will definitely be back!
I booked a triple room with my friend. The double bed was big, and the single bed was a little small but still enough for sleeping. There is also a small kitchen in the room where you can cook. The bathroom has good lighting, which is very suitable for makeup needs. It is within walking distance to downtown Florence, and there are many bus options
The room was better than expected, convenient transportation, complete with pots and pans
Very good, warm welcome, clean and comfortable room. With indoor SPA. Hotel not far from the city center (10 minutes walk). What better way to celebrate a wedding anniversary in Florence.
Amazing hotel, large clean rooms, friendly service.
Just outside the old town, a very comfortable hotel with a beautiful small garden. From the 5th floor rooftop you can enjoy the dome and tower of Santa Maria del Fiore. The rooms are fully equipped, the hotel is decorated in a modern and artistic style, and the service is attentive and friendly.

Sabina was an excellent host. She did a great tour with us ($). We did not do the in house breakfast due to numerous restaurants in the immediate area. Great steam closet in the bathroom!
This is a nice clean hotel in a spectacular location. You simply can’t beat the location and the hotel has done a great job of updating the rooms in an old building. We will stay here again on our next visit to Florence.
Lovely room with fresco ceilings, beautiful friendly and helpful stage, close to everything. Beautiful stay. Thank you.
This hotel is wonderful: the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, staff is friendly and check-in/out times are somewhat flexible.
There is an elevator up to the hotel floor which is very fortunate (you’ll only have to go up a 10-step staircase to get to it, better than most Italian accomodations). Wifi works great, you’ll need it as no cellular signal whatsoever gets through the thick walls and...
Great to get an early check-in, welcoming host and full of information about the history of the building and the area. And lovely room and bathroom. And luggage could be stored there for a while after checkout. Great all round.

From the minute I walked in the door I knew this was going to be an exceptional stay! The hotel has been beautifully renovated and is spotlessly clean. The room was updated high end decor , the bathroom was luxurious and the public lobby and bar areas are beautiful with a true Florentine feel. Service is impeccable in all aspects and dinner, cocktails and breakfasts were wonderful. There are no words...
From the moment we walked in the staff was amazing. Everything is so clean and comfortable in the rooms. Location was perfect. Restaurant is amazing with a wonderful breakfast. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel, it truly made our experience in Florence more than we had hoped for. We are so thankful to have stayed here!!
Wonderful experience. We arrived very late in the evening and all other hotels were booked. Not only did they welcome us graciously, but they even extended a discount as it was so late. From the moment we arrived exhausted from a long and hot drive they attended to us with care and hospitality.
The room was small, but impeccably furnished. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and provided the best...
Best hotel experience in Italy!!
Wow, what a beautiful place in a beautiful location.
The staff was kind and the room was big and so comfortable.
I think that the design of this amazing hotel says a lot.
Go there! The price is a bit high - but what you pay is what you get. This place emphasis value for money.
Stayed 4 nights with family and kids. One of the best hotels in the world. The service is superb, always there when needed anything. The housekeeping cleans the room twice or more a day. The food is so delicious. It was perfect. Thank you H&B you made my stay in Florence unforgettable 🤍
Place is really nice. Old styled but with high tech amenities. The room was comfortable and cosy. The palm buddy is an awesome touch. Free calls, room service and tour guide. Food is great along with the service. As you step out the door you are treated by high fashion shops.

Great experience, friendly staff and convenient to public transportation
Saturday night there was some noise coming from the restaurant. Generally the rooms are not that much noise protected from the hallway.
Pleasant stay
The stay was pleasant only disappointment in the breakfast not a huge hot selection but overall it has been pleasant.
Great place to stay when you’re in Florence. Rooms are clean, cool & comfortable & the staff are excellent. Also food in the restaurant is very good. Thanks to all especially Francesca at reception & the restaurant staff
It took a while to find the hotel location. The front desk staff was very kind. When we went back early in the morning and wanted slippers, he took the time to find them for us. The only downside to the hotel is that the shower room is very small.
Clean and comfortable! We have stayed here numerous times and is perfectly located to go into the centre of Florence. Staff are super friendly and will help with anything you need ☺️😁 would definitely recommend

Throw was our favorite hotel we stayed at in Italy. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was so nice and willing to help with whatever you need. The complimentary breakfast was so good and tons of variety. Great location. About a 8 minute walk to the Duomo. Tons of shopping and restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk. Would love to stay here again.
This is an excellent boutique hotel with Italian charm. The hotel was very well maintained, English spoken everywhere, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom sufficiently large enough for us North Americans. The courtyard was fantastic. What a great spot to just chill. The courtyard was nicely light at night. The breakfast which was included in our fare was very good and you could sit outside in...
Stayed at the Monna Lisa for 4 nights and it was delightful. The staff were very welcoming whether at reception, in the restaurant, or at the bar. Our room, number 35, was excellent and all that we could have wished for. The hotel was in an excellent location for numerous restaurants and the many cultural highlights that Florence has to offer. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect place to live in the history
Liked · The classic style gave us a feeling of living in the history which we loved it. The atmosphere, location, breakfast and staff were perfect.
Disliked · Although the hotel were perfect but we prefer to have more light in the room (brighter room). And since it was a old & historic place room were not fully noise proof.
Hotel service was great, clean and friendly. Ramiro was exceptional and so kind. Great place to stay centrally located. Breakfast was fresh every day and food was excellent. The grounds were well maintained and the front desk was very helpful.
This hotel is a gem! Would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel has an authentic feel with so much history and THE BEST BREAKFAST EVER! Shout out to Ramith for making our breakfasts so enjoyable. The location, food, rooms, and staff are perfection.

Hotel well decorated, clean, nice and friendly staff.
Owners gave some great recommendations and directions. Easy to use nearby public transportation. Issue with maintenance in kitchen had no impact on breakfast as they provided us with coupons to bar across street. Late loud neighbors upstairs but you can't have everything. Otherwise phenomenal.
Comfortable hotel.very kind and helpful staff. Parking nearby

It was wonderful. The staff are super nice and professional. The place is romantic and welcoming. They do go the extra mile to help with any question concerns and do have great recommendations for dinner as well as how to get around the city. Love this place and will give them not a 10 but a 12. Definitely looking forward to come back on my next vacation to Florence
Monica and her staff were kind, polite, and extremely Helpful with directions, bringing up luggage, providing bus tickets, and calling a taxi for us. Great location and near the terminal station. The hotel is perfect for staying a couple of days. The staff was very nice and really helpful. About the breakfast a few options but overall 10 out of 10.
The location is excellent, right by the station! It was incredibly helpful that they held our luggage after check-out. All the staff were friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious, though there were many sweet options like cakes.
Overall, it's fine for a one-night stay. The breakfast was decent, but the hotel is quite dated.
Very convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from the train station.

This family run hotel is very nice and at a good price for Florence. Rooms were a reasonable size for Florence. The bathroom was good and the bed comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was included and had cooked and continental options. Staff were very friendly and helpful
This hotel provides all the basics and more. Updated rooms with a large bathroom and bidet. Refreshments and a breakfast were included in my stay. The staff were wonderful, friendly, encouraged us to stay and rest longer even after checkout. We had an emergency overnight stay and had to remain in the area unexpectedly. The most helpful part of this experience was finding this hidden hotel gem,...
This is a family-run hotel a short walk from the S. M. Novella railway station, the historic centre of Florence, and quite near to the Ponte Vecchio. We were here for the MotoGP, while the tour was fantastic the hotel left a lot to be desired.
The staff is very friendly but English is limited.

The bathroom tile could use a good bleach scrub and...
I don't see this as a 4 star hotel. The room we stayed in is very basic. There's a little kitchenette inside but no cutleries or cooking utensils were included. The shower stall is small and a little worn down. Overall, it gave us a comfortable place to sleep, and we really appreciate the complimentary breakfast.
The rooms are more spacious than the other hotels we've visited but it's very simple and not really big on decor. The alleyway on the side of the hotel can get loud but it dies down around 11:00pm. The breakfast was okay. It is easy to access other restaurants and the bus from the hotel. The shower is rather small, but the bathroom was decent.
Pros: Kind and professional staff members. Large apartment. Quite area (not on a major street) for proper sleep. Nice statues on ground level.. Cons: Shower took 10-15 min. to heat up on the 3rd floor. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Location is great. Room had a weird smell, like a toilet smell that never went away… there’s a kettle but it can’t be plugged so it’s a bit odd.

Garden-style hotel with a very beautiful environment. The front desk lady gave me a city walk map which was very useful. She also recommended three restaurants near the hotel, which was great. The location is great, close to the train station. The host was very welcoming, and check-in was straightforward – just contact them in advance. I thought the staff was friendly. However, as we mostly only used the rooms for sleep, we had a less than favorable experience. The beds were very firm and the pillows very small with some of the pillows barely having any fluffing in them. As a pregnant woman, this was very tough on me as I need to sleep on my side. Polite and friendly staff. But there is no one to make you a cappuccino in the afternoon. We asked for help on how to get to Bologna airport and the answer was that they would call us a taxi. Provided that we are close to the train station and bus stops... Well, that's the situation...
Conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the city train station and 15 to 20 minutes walk from the main attractions of Florence.
The streets nearby aren't the cleanest and there were a few homeless people sleeping rough near. Large groups of non-local ethnicities gathered early evening and it didn't feel as safe walking back to the hotel.
The hotel is right next to a tram way with no sound proofing...
Clean and good AC. 12-15 minutes walk to old City centre. Not far from train station, wich isn't a very nice area, but not dangerous! We preferred staying outside the old centre, so for us it was perfect. Nice breakfast and a lovely building. Nice big bathroom as well.
My family and I stayed for 3 days. The location is very convenient because it's walking distance from the train station, but there's no sound proofing. You can hear trains go by periodically, which really didn't bother me but I can see how it would bother others. The front desk staff was always really nice and helpful. I'm told by friends it also has a really nice smoking section outside.
