Florence, Via Porta Rossa 19 🧭 Map
Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The building itself is a gorgeous piece of history, beautifully combined with all the modern comforts you could ask for. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the city, just steps away from top shopping, amazing restaurants, and a short stroll from the train station. A huge thank-you to **Giada at the front desk** for her outstanding hospitality...
We were in Italy for our Honeymoon! This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so friendly. We had this hotel included in our Costco Travel package and we are so grateful to have had this hotel. We were unable to make breakfast one morning due to our tour, the staff offered us takeaway options and took so much care in doing so. Grazie mille for a wonderful experience for our Honeymoon!
An excellent central location within walking distance of all major attractions, combined with stunning interior architecture and exceptional service, made our stay truly memorable. Our Junior Suite was spacious, tastefully decorated, and featured a comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant. While not inexpensive, the experience...
Amazing hotel with a great location. Clean rooms (and large for Italy), big shower and comfy bed. Vincenzo at the front was very helpful and gave us a history of the hotel - didn’t know it was the oldest hotel in Florence. Have him tell you the story of the poppy seeds! Will be back here again!
I can’t say enough good things about NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa! My family and I stayed here while traveling with our baby, and the hotel truly went above and beyond to make our trip special. The location is absolutely perfect—smack in the heart of Florence, which was a lifesaver for us. We could easily pop back to the hotel for naps or breaks, and it made exploring the city with a little one...
This is a REA.5 stars hotel. Really its staff is very well trained, looking to offer all in their hands so that you feel at home. The chief of the staff, Mr. Julio Cesar is a very professional one , as are all the people assisting him. Once again: it is a real five stars hotel, really Carlo Scaglia

The location is great 5 minutes walking from st Mariah station it has stairs but the staff is very helpful and they carried our suitcases for us during checking in and out
Thank you very much, we liked everything very much! Above expectations! 5 minutes from the station. View of the roofs, as we wanted. The room is clean. The carpet creates warmth and coziness. Beautiful antique interior details in the room. At the reception they help with everything, give advice. There was free water, tea, cookies, a kettle and a refrigerator. Lots of shelves in the room, there is a...
Old European style, convenient for travel, relatively satisfied
Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Just the bed and pillows were very very bad. Thinnest pillow Ive ever seen and the mattress was horrible. But the room was large and clean.
Vintage Room is clean, and updated bathroom. I don't like that it is noisy especially with no sound proof from outside be it from the small street or the corridor of our room. Not for light sleeper. There are lots of mosquitoes, which they provided the electric insect repellent that helps abit. Guess it depends on the season of the time. Location is 10min walk to the train station. Convenient access...
Traveling with kids, the spacious rooms was quite welcoming. AC was working great. Great location to all the popular places around, was only about a 15 min walk to most places we went out it. Train station super close by.

I was a little nervous when I saw the 4.4 / 5 on Google but not sure how anybody could give this less than 5 / 5. Great staff, elevators were quick, room service prices were reasonable for breakfast, they were generous with water in the summer, air conditioning was incredible in the summer, perfect location amidst everything yet feeling like a retreat. Doormen were nice and helpful (I believe his name...
Had an amazing two night stay here at the end of April 2025. They were able to accommodate me and my wife after a disastrous hotel check in experience earlier that day. After a quick look online, we decided to walk into this hotel to see if they were able to accommodate, and thank goodness they were. The check in staff were amazing, there's always a front door gentlement greeting you hello and goodbye...
We stayed at Il Tornabuoni Hotel for 3 nights and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The location is absolutely perfect right in the heart of Florence, which made it super easy to explore the city on foot. The hospitality throughout our stay was top-notch. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was beautifully designed, very comfortable...
Has an amazing location making it easy to walk to everything. The staff are all so nice and the breakfast is really good. They have a cake of the day and the scrambled eggs are my favorite. The scrambled eggs are so creamy and yummy. The rooms are also very nice. However our bathroom was a little narrow but it was also very big as well, if that makes sense.
We loved our stay at this hotel. The bell service, front desk, and concierge were so polite and helpful. I knew it would be great service starting from the beginning when we were personally escorted up to our rooms to make sure everything was okay. We stayed at multiple 5 star Marriott hotels throughout our trip across Italy, and Hyatt has far been substantially better on all aspects, with this hotel...

Staff were lovely, roof terrace was amazing and the rooms have stunning high ceilings and tiled floors. Its right by the Ponte Vecchio on a quiet street. Such a charming hotel, would definitely stay again. Just to flag that if you're going for the room with the private terrace, note that there are narrow stairs inside the door leadjng up to the bedroom so you will need to get your luggage up stairs...
Mixed feelings To start , excellent position of hotel. Family run , good communication. I was recommended by a friend. I think they must have had a lovely room. We were in 102. On arrival the heater was on, it had been a hot day and I couldn’t breathe. Tried to open a window but they were sealed shut, you couldn’t see through them due to shutters which were also screwed down. At 11pm we had the bedroom...

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful, the location convenient, and the hotel has a beautiful rooftop terrace.

The breakfast area and outdoor area were beautiful and we wished it had been a bit warmer so we could enjoy the courtyard and the pool. It was not good that the shower room was flooded. The light in the bathroom did not work, which was a problem. The water was sometimes cloudy. If I were to be even more greedy, I would have liked to have a USB port in the room.
Hotel is well located in central Florence with easy access to all major attractions/areas of interest. The room was spacious with a recently renovated bathroom, which was appreciated. The hot breakfast included in the rate was better than expected and utilized daily before heading out. We enjoyed out stay at Hotel Croce di Malta. The staff was attentive and the location was excellent and it was easy to walk to all the areas of the city that we wanted to. The courtyard/garden was a peaceful break after the busy streets of Florence. Breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable. Rooftop bar had great views.
Perfect location, just outside of the main tourist areas but easy walking distance from all the main sights. Also close to the main train station and tram stop for easy access to other places and the airport. The hotel is amazing, right on the shore. It should be in an office building, because the fourth floor seems to be a company or studio. The hotel is only on the third, fifth and sixth floors. The restaurant is on the seventh floor. I hesitated for a long time before checking in whether to change the place, but after checking in, I found it was really perfect. At sunset, I opened the window and looked...
The price/performance ratio is unbeatable, the room is large and spacious, and the location is excellent, right in the center of the town. There is a large supermarket downstairs. Open the window to the snow view. This is the best of the three hotels I stayed in during my four days in the Dolomites. It only takes an hour to get to the Blade Mountain from here.
The hotel is located in the city center. The facilities and services are very good. The breakfast is particularly rich. The terrace bar on the 7th floor is open for free. The view is great! The bathroom in the room was a little leaky, but it was repaired quickly. It is very cost-effective and worth recommending 👍
Great stay at this very centrally located hotel, easy to find. Although close to all main attractions, via Tornabuoni itself is not too crowded nor noisy. The Hammam suite is very spacious and relaxing after a day of walking. Great views from the rooftop, the drinks are not the best, but this can be expected from a hotel bar. Breakfast is also quite good.
I loved my stay at Antica Torre. The hotel was in a great location, adjacent to the very high-end luxury shopping and central enough to easily walk everywhere but not walk out onto a swarm of tourists. The service was notably elevated to match that luxury vibe - the staff was so warm and helpful. I had a 4:30 am cab to the airport and they even prepared me a breakfast box! I was just there for one...
The location is great, right at the bridgehead where Jay Chou took the photo of the Ponte Vecchio, and downstairs from the luxury street. Dior and Ferragamo are downstairs, and LV is 200 meters away. Great hotel in the heart of Florence. It has a modern style decoration. It is good if you don’t enjoy very romantic and traditional decoration which is very common in Florence hotels. Hotel is just perfect. The central location, the style, the staff, breakfast and beautiful rooms. I really enjoyed my stay there. The perfect hotel in the most beautiful city. Loved it ❤️
The hotel is very conveniently located near the train station and a church, with a Starbucks right downstairs. The room was quite spacious, clean, and tidy. However, the lighting was a bit dim. Also, the main entrance door was rather difficult to open; you either needed to use a keycard or call reception for entry.

Would like to thank everybody there for their kindness Luca, Emmo, Nicola, Karen, Dina, and all others which I don't know their names. I recommend it strongly, and would like to stay there again.
Centrally located. Steps from the train station and all the attractions. The rooms were beautiful. Lots of amenities. The service was amazing. The nightly "welcome drink" and breakfast was wonderful. Little gifts with hand-written notes left in the room overnight was a wonderful touch. Will definitely be back. All for such an affordable price too.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. I cannot say enough good things about our stay there a few weeks ago. The staff were so helpful and graciously answered all our questions. Breakfast and tea time were so fresh and delicious. And our room was comfortable, immaculate and quiet We were sad to leave and look forward to retuning soon!
The people that work in the hotel are so kind and helpful. The hotel is centrally located and within a 10-20 minute walk of most attractions. The hotel offers a full breakfast with fruit, juice, pastries, coffee, eggs, bacon, sandwich meats plus made to order omelets, plus more. The room make up service is neat and crisp. There is a small refrigerator stocked with water which is complementary.

This was our second to last hotel of our 2 week trip in Italy and it saved our lives! The room was unbelievably clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful, and spoke English well. The room was compact, but I personally didn't mind. Stylish interior. Free drinks in the minibar.
The room is too small and the whole hotel smells like toilet. The room also smells like toilet. The location is really good, but if you mind the smell and size, I don't recommend this hotel. The service attitude is good.
The hotel's Wi-Fi signal is very poor. Although the hotel staff is very active in dealing with it, they still can't change this.

Good price and equal to quality
Great location Simple and clean hotel
3m walk to train station, near to popular restaurants, 24h reception, elevator to hotel and clean. I think the hotel did a renovation so the cabinets, tables and all look new. It also feels warmer than other hotels i stayed, making it comfortable during March. Only thing to comment is the small shower area and there’s no thermal flask. The hotel has a great location with good service, and it's close to major attractions. However, the rooms are a bit dimly lit, and the facilities are somewhat outdated. It was exactly as you expect 3star hotel to be, a bit worn out, but has it's charm. my room was simple, but tidy. Main inconvenience was the bathroom, although clean, it has two downsides: 1) the shower is quite small and when you get inside the curtain is always sticking to you. 2) the toilet flash was broken, never worked on the first try - I had to press many-many times to flush it. On our bike tour, this hotel was the pivotal point for visiting Florence. Why Happy Cycle Holidays chose a location 10 kilometers outside of Florence to explore Florence is a mystery to us. Especially since the “hike” to explore Florence took place on paths that are normally only used by the local stable with horses. Doesn't matter. We bravely walked 1.5 hours to Florence and skipped the usual program...

We booked this place because it was close to the Duomo and it was pretty easy to walk to all the main attractions. The rooms were comfortable, they were very helpful in arranging transportation for us when needed. Their breakfast each morning is excellent - the best we had in Italy. Restaurants and gelato were nearby - and we had an American king-sized bed (which you can't always find in Italy)
7 minutes walking distance to the cathedral, 4 person rooms are very clean, toilet and bathroom were newly built. The hotel was updated. I feel it needs new hallway carpet and some touch ups here and there. This would not keep me from going again. We stayed there two years in a row.
The receptionist who checked us in was very kind and helpful - as it was our first time visiting Florence, he provided us with a map showing all the key attractions, and marked out a route on the map for us to follow to begin exploring the city. He also provided recommendations for food and good scenic viewpoints of the city. So thank you for providing us with the much-needed information/maps for exploring...

A great place to stay when you are in Venice. Location is great, staff were helpful and rooms were clean and nice!
The room is big, like a homestay, and the location is great
It is very close to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the environment is comfortable beyond expectations. We stayed in winter, the room was very warm and quiet, the overall feeling was very good, it is worth recommending.
A very satisfactory booking experience, large space, new decoration, complete kitchenware, very warm, I will choose to stay here again next time
The sanitation is very good, the location is very convenient, the heating is sufficient in winter, and the service staff are very friendly. If I return to Florence, I will definitely consider it again.
Highly recommended, but there is no parking lot. However, it is just next door and charges are applicable. It is more reliable and the room is very big. Suitable for multiple people. There is no front desk at night and noon, but communication in English is OK

Super convenient location, 10 mins to train station and ten minutes to Florence Cathedral. The breakfast is good. Value to stay. Suggest to stay at the new rooms in next building, the one we stayed in quite old
We loved this hotel for its location, convenience, cleanliness and the wonderful room. The staff was well trained and helped us with all our requests. The room had great amenities and was spacious. The quality of the breakfast buffet was about average. Most of the hotels in Italy don’t focus much on making various types of eggs(boiled and scrambled) still, they have good choices and even a pancake...
Wow, this hotel was absolutely amazing! It exceeded my expectations. First, the location is incredibly convenient. It's on a small street with Chinese restaurants on both ends. One side leads to the train station, and the other to the Medici Chapels and Basilica di San Lorenzo. It's very conveniently located near the heart of the historic city. The entire staff was incredibly friendly. Upon check-in...
Very beautiful hotel, the room is also nice, very close to the Duomo, you can walk there, the hotel staff is also very friendly, there is a piano in the breakfast court to talk, very interesting
The location was great and the breakfast was clean and delicious. It was a satisfying trip.
Wonderful hotel in a perfect location - close to everything! Staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean and room was spacious. Would stay again!
