This hotel is an absolute gem! Staff, in particular Saeed, are super helpful. I normally only stay at larger chain hotels, but after staying at Hotel No. 9 I will look for more brands like this. I like the high room temperature in this hotel. Esp in winter, it’s crucial to stay warm and comfy. I don’t like that there’s no kettle in the rooms. To use boiled water (for drinking or tea), you have to pay 1.00 euro per fill. For a 4-star hotel, it’s a bit disappointing. If the electricity system in the old building can’t handle kettles, then offer hot water downstairs for free.

It is very close to the train station and the transportation is convenient. There is a vegetable market next to it, the fruits are quite fresh and the prices are affordable. We took a taxi when we went out, and tried the subway when we came back, and found it was also very good.

I rarely write reviews this harsh, but my experience was far below what one expects from a so-called 4-star hotel. First of all, the building is clearly old (understandable for Florence), but there is a difference between “historic charm” and poor maintenance. Everything is really fine in the place, clean place and excellent service, location is top and parking is really convenient. Unfortunately the noise isolation between rooms is really poor! Conveniently located, 5 minutes away from the train station. Fairly decorated rooms with very friendly staff. I would recommend to include your breakfast, also a plus. There is a laundry shop right next to the hotel if you need, which is also very convenient. Plenty of dining options steps away, I would recommend the Maso, which has an extensive variety with reasonable prices.

Overall satisfactory. Counter service took a little longer waiting to check-in for room readiness. Receptionist should have advised us its waiting duration and shouldn’t keep us waiting for 30 min. We should had left our luggages at storage area first before starting our city tour.

Breakfast selections were very limited and the exact same items on all 3 days we had breakfast. Cut fruits were not fresh but from the can, and toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided. Hotel Degli Orafi is an absolute gem in Florence. The location is prime~ it is adjacent to the Uffizi Gallery and fronts the Arno River. The rooms are spacious, with an amazing line of Dr. Vranjes Firenze bath products, comfortable beds, and lovely views. Excellent service through and through. A hotel that treats its clients like royalty with their attention to courtesy, friendliness and total availability to assist at all times.
