Hotel Morgana

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST. The only good thing about this hotel is its location to the train station and public transport. We got to the hotel early in the morning and reception was welcoming and help to store our bags while we used the lounge and bathroom facilities to freshen up. Everything started to go downhill from there. After we checked in we were told that the main hotel is completely book and was ushered to an "annex" which is a completely separate run down building down the next block. We had to go through 3 separate doors to get to our room which is nothing like the rooms advertised. The room is outdated and there is physical dirt on the walls and shower box. There is one tiny old rickety elevator that looks unsafe to use so we took the stairs. The water temperature in the tiny shower is difficult to adjust - either scalding hot or cold. There's black mold in the shower head. No hairdryer. When we tried to use the phone to dial to reception to file a complaint we realized the phones don't even work! First thing in the morning we will ask to switch back to the main hotel as this annex is absolutely unsafe, not clean and we cannot stay here for another night.

If you are a female, stay away from this hotel for your own safety, Horrible hotel experience, the only good thing is that the hotel location close to the metro station but there was a dangerous people, full of thieves and Harassers, they said bad words to us followed us filmed us. They fought each other and other people every night!!!
The hotel elevator is very tiny and dangerous ,,room was very small , the bathroom was smelling like sewers . No place to put your stuff,
The bed was not comfortable , Very hard.
The room was very hot , at the first 3 days there were no fans left, the doors of the room were to heavy to open and close,
The breakfast room smelled like eggs ,
The hotel wasn’t clean
No view
View of the window was a garbage. And old garbage building .
Not worth the money
Made our experience in rome harder to bare

We stayed here in March 2024. I would have given this hotel 5 stars since everything went great except when my money was stolen from my backpack inside the room. I know I shouldn't leave money lying around in a hotel, but I want to let you know about the type of staff they have so you can be more aware. Additionally, besides janitors, other staff members have access to our room. When we returned to our room after dinner, a guy was going around to open every door to "check if the system was working", which was kind of sketchy. I contacted the hotel after my stay, but it seems like they don't want to do anything about it.

Despite all this, here is my review of this hotel:

Pros:
- Good location,
- Near the train station,
- Lots of restaurants around,
- Kitchen/breakfast staff are friendly,
- The room is cozy and clean, and
- Very safe to walk around.

Cons:
- Front desk staff are not friendly.

The hotel was in a great area with the train station just being a few minutes away. But i did make the mistake of keeping money in an unlocked bag in the hotel room and it went missing. I should’ve known better but I’m still disappointed in the hotel and staff.

This has to be the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. My room was dreary and dismal as you had a view of high-rise flats, so I had to put the light on in the daytime as there was no natural light . Decor was dated and drab. There was a step down from the bedroom to the bathroom, then another step into the bathroom, you really had to remember them each time, I almost fell a few times. There was no actual bar it was only on request. The breakfast was quite good though and all the staff were pleasant and helpful.
