Stayed here recently, and loved it. They had a welcome bottle of Champagne in the room, as it was my birthday. Went to the Court prior to the Thursday night Colleseum underground tour.

The staff are very professional and courteous, and we're very helpful when I needed my tickets printed!

The only thing disappointing was the TV didn't work, and I like to fall asleep with the TV on. They came up twice to fix it, but not a big deal. I mean I was in Rome. Half a block from the Colleseum... how can you beat that?

I would absolutely 100% recommend this Hotel and would love to stay again next time I am in Rome.

Really nice hotel but has some areas for improvement:

- Valet service for €60 a night apparently doesn’t open until “6 or 6:30A” - when we needed car a bit earlier to make our flight, we were told the garage wasn’t open yet. For €60/night, we should get the car when we need it.
- Hotel bar is a big hot spot for non-guests. When we showed up to ask for a table, we were told there were none all night. Shame on the hotel for not holding at least a few tables for guests paying €600+ per night. Given the popularity of the place, you could easily fill the seats if no guests need them. Guests should ALWAYS come first, especially in a five star hotel.
- When we checked in at 4:30P, I asked if any (paid) suite upgrades were available for our one night (6:30A check out) stay. While the hotel had two suites available for our 14 hour stay, they insisted to make us pay the full difference for a suite (+€1500). This is not just poor customer service, but bad business.

While this spot had arguably the best views possible of the Colosseum, the mediocre service and lack of attention to detail will bring my money to a different hotel on our next trip to Rome. Also should note: given the location, this is a high tourism area with lots of busses, foot traffic and cash grab restaurants you should avoid at all costs.

If you book make sure you book the right room they will be more expensive when you want a view of the colosseum. We booked the Master Room.

The staff: Very helpful. They spoke Italian, Spanish, and English the staff that were present. They helped us with transportation and suggested tours and provided a map of everything we needed.

The Room: Absolutely stunning view. Both the Bedroom window and the bathroom window faced the colosseum. The room already had champagne and snacks ready when we arrived.

They offer free breakfast at Aroma the Michelin Restaurant located upstairs. Probably the best breakfast we had while in Rome. The breakfast view is beautiful.

A beautiful hotel. While many areas of the hotel look dates and could use a renovation, the room we were in was gorgeous and the Junior View Suite was everything it was advertised to be. Note that this hotel has a very Byzantine set of stairs to get anywhere. I am not sure it is built with accessibility in mind.

Also room service isn’t exactly geared for kids, but the kitchen was able to pull something together for our toddler. Everyone in the hotel doted on him and was very kind and helpful to us.

Overall, we come to Rome 1-2 times a year and are excited to return here.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and when we got here we had a great view of the Colosseum but the rooms are very small and we could barely fit our big size luggage in the room. All they have is espresso coffee in the room. They say they are a 5 star hotel, but the only complimentary drink you get is water. When we asked for an extra luggage holder they said they can only give us one. We asked for an iron and the first iron they gave us was old and smoking when we turned it on. Uhm should I mention AGAIN that this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel? We asked for another one and the next one was burnt. The restaurant upstairs is over priced $150 per person and there’s a dress code. There are plenty of other restaurants to walk to in the area.
To top off our stay, my husband and I returned back from dinner one night to find my tampons and pads missing. The house keeper most likely threw them away. When I called the front desk to explain to them what happened the lady said she will have to talk to the house cleaning manager. When she called me back she said that she couldn't locate the missing pads and tampons. She asked to offer a solution and she suggested that my husband and I take time out of our vacation and go ride in a golf cart provided by the hotel to the nearest pharmacy. She said my husband could buy some more tampons and pads and she will talk to her manager to offer reimbursement. Not once did she offer anything more like a free meal for the inconvenience. Even more embarrassing, she had a male staff member give us a ride to the pharmacy. Simply rude, and inconsiderate. She didn’t offer a discount on the room, a voucher to souvenirs store NOTHING. She basically said “sorry there’s nothing else we can do for you.” To call themselves a 5 star hotel is a LIE, because this hotel knows nothing about exceptional customer service. They don’t care if you come back or not because they make money off people booking the rooms for the views of the Coliseum. Save yourself a headache and do yourself a favor and stay away from this Hotel. You’re better off at a Hilton or Marriott where they believe in great customer service or they will make it right.

My husband and I booked the grand view junior suite for our honeymoon and had an impeccable experience the entire 6 days we were there. I initially selected this hotel strictly for the view (honestly had lower expectations for everything else due to some reviews) - but we were swept away by the lovely, attentive service provided by every staff member we encountered. The view was as unbelievable as it looks from photos and the sound proofing in our room made it completely silent for sleeping. We will surely be returning to this hotel on our next trip to Rome!

Our beautiful Colleseum Suite, located right across from the Roman Colosseum, was outstanding. Service and food were phenomenal. The suite was well appointed and tastefully decorated. Our breakfast from the rooftop restaurant was impressive and delicious. A beautiful touch for our final day in Rome!

Beautiful 5 Star hotel with the best view of the Colosseum. Easy walk to the Roman Forum, Via Venezia, Victor Emanuel Monument! First class services!

Honestly was very disappointed in Palazzo Manfredi. This was the hotel I was most excited to stay in while we were in Italy. The views from the restaurant and the cocktail bar are great and the staff at both were great. During our stay we asked the front desk for help twice, once with transportation from the train station and again trying to make reservations upstairs because the website wasn’t working. Both times we were essentially told to fend for ourselves, especially for the restaurant when we were told they were booked up and the front desk then knew there was a seating from 7-9 once we mentioned our room number. There were also a few instances of people following us to the elevators when we walked in to verify if we were staying there or not. These few instances just rubbed us all the wrong way being treated differently then we did from the other 6 hotels we stayed at in Italy that were supposedly not at the caliber of this hotel. The view is unreal but honestly the lack of hospitality from some of the staff takes away from the location greatly.

The room was good sized and the service was amazing, everyone is available and making sure that everything is going well. Location and views are great. Sadly, the room lacked some cleaning, there was a dead bug on the roof of the room, the coffee machine was dirty and not working (replaced promptly by staff). Most importantly, noise started 7:30 because the restaurant was exactly on top of the room and was impossible to sleep, a kitchen was outside the room as well and noise kept coming in from staff working, they even knocked on the door with a service cart accidentally, the building where the reception is has only one elevator so it’s used as a service one so on multiple occasions when guests use it after staff it smells like fish. Lastly, air con wasn’t working because it’s either ac or heating and for the season it was still on heating mode but at night it got really hot in the room. I understand some of this is just because of the characteristics of the building but at a 5 star, small luxury hotels of the world, I expected to be able to choose the temperature that I find comfortable to sleep and actually be able to without being disturbed, be able to make coffee in the mornings and get into the elevator without having to smell fish. I certainly wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless you’re willing to sacrifice some sleep for a great view.
