Staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant. The room was a little dated but still comfortable. The location isn’t the most central, but it was fairly convenient. Overall, quite a good experience!

A large, well-maintained 5 star hotel offering superb cleanliness and outstanding front office staff makes for an excellent travel choice. The spacious rooms, featuring two queen-sized beds, adds to the comfort. Guests can enjoy a wide range of amenities including a well-equipped gym, a swimming pool and table tennis facilities. Be sure to book with the buffet breakfast option — it’s definitely worth it. Plus, the hotel’s close proximity to Huai Khwang MRT station makes getting around incredibly convenient.

Though old style hotel but everything great, comfy bed, spacious room and bathroom. Everything you need is there.

We were warmly greeted by the staff upon arrival, and all our luggage was promptly collected. Check-in was a breeze, thanks to a lovely receptionist who even wished me a happy birthday. Although there were no ironing facilities in our room as she initially mentioned, but the issue was quickly resolved when we called “0” and had the iron delivered to our room. We were assigned a room on the 21st floor, which is on the executive level, and we noticed the executive lounge. However we were unsure if we had access to it, as it wasn't mentioned during check-in? The hotel is conveniently located near shopping malls, Jodd fairs, and the Ganesha shrine, which made exploring the area easy. The gym facilities were excellent, the breakfast spread was average to us, and the staff in both the lobby and restaurant were friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful, especially the lobby and entrance. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a good layout. It was far from tired or old as some other reviews suggest to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the thoughtful birthday card and cake. However, there were a couple of downsides. First, there were no power plugs near the bedside table, which made it inconvenient for charging our phones. We had to use outlets above the kettle area or near the bottom of the bed. Given the master controller already installed in the room, it would be great to add USB ports by the bedside for easier charging. Secondly, we found it odd that housekeeping left a card in the morning, even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on our door. We’ve stayed in many hotels worldwide, and typically, this kind of notice is left in the afternoon, usually after 3pm. We went for breakfast around 9am and returned around 10am, only to find the card under our door. To be honest, we found this a bit strange — are guests expected to leave early in the morning!? Of course, we understand we can contact you for housekeeping services, but receiving a card this early felt unnecessary.
Overall, our experience was positive, and we would certainly return the next time we’re in Huai Khwang.

All in all, its a good five-star hotel 🛏️ with spacious rooms, superb location and amenities. Although its quite pricey, you can still find a good deal if you book in advance or during promo periods. Come & experience yourself and thank me later.

Plenty of good food nearby the hotel. Good massage Joint (Lemongrass massage) + Seafood (Somboon Restaurant) opposite hotel

Slightly disappointed with the service due to miscommunication between reception and porter, but very comfortable stay. Restaurants are all good. Rooms are big is value for money even though it’s not a new hotel. You still can hear commotion outside from the guests staying next door.

I stayed at Swissotel Ratchada from January 3 to 8, 2025, and while there were some positives, one serious issue left me quite concerned.
The hotel’s location is excellent—within walking distance to plenty of food options and shopping areas, which made getting around very convenient. The design of the hotel feels a bit dated, but it’s still in good condition and maintains a certain charm.
I stayed on the 7th floor, and on January 4, there was scheduled electrical maintenance from around 11 AM to 5 PM. During this time, the electricity was completely off, which meant the elevators weren’t working. This was inconvenient, but what truly worried me was discovering that the emergency staircase was sealed off on the 6th floor. I had to use the stairs because the lifts were down, only to find there was no way to exit safely. When I asked the staff, they told me I would need to wait until the power was back on. Strangely, I also noticed that on the lift, there is no 6th floor listed.
This is a serious safety issue. If there had been an actual emergency, there was no viable escape route, which is unacceptable. Guest safety should never be compromised, and I hope the hotel addresses this immediately.
While I appreciated the location and general upkeep of the hotel, I would recommend it, but the safety remains a big question mark.

Very good 5 star hotel,staying three nights with no regret, nothing to complain,the staff are friendly and always with great smile, the breakfast was very nice with many variety, I will definitely back to this hotel if I travel to Bangkok. Another plus point is the location which 5 minutes walk to huai Khwang mrt,easy for travelling around.
