The staff members were very helpful and friendly. The decor of the hotel and room was elegant. The fitness center was reasonable size. The swimming pool was nice. Since I got a privilege room, the breakfast was included and good. The pillows and the mattress were very comfortable. The shuttle service was great. The location is close to MRT and Airport City Line station. The only down side is that there is no pedestrian friendly sidewalk.

I am not very impressed with this place. I booked it specifically for its amenities, hoping to have a relaxing night before a long flight home. However, I was informed at check-in that the pool was closed, and later found out that every bar was also closed. This means there are essentially no amenities available, and I am left stuck in my room. The minibar is empty, which is quite surprising for a hotel that considers itself a four-star establishment. The amenities in the room are very poor; for instance, there is no shampoo or hair conditioning. The service and amenities are lower than those of 3-star places I stayed at before in Thailand and Bangkok.
While the location is good if you’re planning to take a taxi everywhere, the surroundings aren’t very pleasant for a solo female traveler. Although it seems conveniently situated near shops and train and airport links, you will need a taxi to get around.

Great location, 30 minutes from the airport. Mr Jack and Mr Boy gave us a lift to the train station outside the shuttle times. Rooms had a great view and the view from the pool area was breathtaking.

The hotel was great and in good location to walking distance shopping malls and markets. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities available were always clean and free to use.
The hotel offers a shuttle service to the MRT and Palladium Shopping Mall which was extremely convenient.
However, there was no soundproofing at all. You could hear the trains and when other guests became loud in the hallways, you could hear them while you were in your room.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely stay. Just awkward to get to if using public transport, near the station but the road leading to hotel has no footpath so have to walk in the road. No shops near by, about 10/15min walk away - not too much of an issue. The hotel was in a good clean condition. Rooms could have been more spacious, as felt tight. Also the bathroom is not separated, the sink is in the room and toilet and shower are just part of the room but with a door separating them both. Not my style. The breakfast could have been a lot better, hardly any vegetarian options and food was cold too including the hot drinks. But other than that, lovely stay no complaints

The location isn’t quite convenient as there’s no direct way to the central streets. You need to walk around the district, along the road without a dedicated pedestrian walkway. If you’re experienced on Bangkok streets it might be not a problem for you though. Be aware of the trains in front of your windows too…

The hotel might have a potential but it is seriously under-managed, especially in F&B. Slow and not properly trained staff. Some individuals trying their best like Ms. Ploy at the reception but, if five (!) other people are just staying around helpless, the check in (we were the only guests came at that afternoon) takes over 20 minutes.

Noodle station at the breakfast required long waiting time even there just a few guests were at the breakfast. Then I was offered the ready made cold and absolutely overcooked noodles (s. picture). Thanks to the manager on duty who tried to handle it at least. (Sorry I didn’t catch her name)
Nice swimming pool, and small but fine gym.
The room quality and breakfast are on the level of three star hotel. Not more.
I don’t think I will stay here ever again.
Thank you.

The Mercure Makkasan is a disappointing hotel that has a lot to be desired.

The rooms and the maintenance here are poor quality and poorly designed with nothing more than being shaped to avoid making things usable.

They have a left-hand covered with a right hand door fridge in it which makes everything awkward, the faucet to the hand basin drips all the time, and the bathroom scales don't work because they haven't bothered to replace the battery.

The rooms have a right-handed sofa on the left hand side of the room, so it's not properly usable, the side with the arm is facing into the room and the side against the wall where the side should be is facinf the wrong way because I've purchased the wrong sofa for the room. There is no side against the wall as this is not designed or suited for the position.

Both side of the sopha were structurally unsound, it creacked and ctacked and appeared to be very unsafe to sit on so I didn't take the risk.

The bathroom and shower are small and the water pressure is average at best, and the handheld shower Rose cable is too short, and the water temperature fluctuates dangerously from lukewarm to scalding hot without warning.

There is an LCD TV with some English channels. There is a small desk and chair but there's a very limited range of power sockets to charge your devices.

There's a swimming pool and a bar next to the swimming pool but doesn't open until 6:00 p.m. and yet the swimming pool closes at 8:00 p.m.

The breakfast is operated by poor quality supervision and very rude staff.

All of the hot food is barely warm, or in most cases food was cool to cold.

It was good they have an egg station but the incompetent person that operates it is very rude, The cook cooks up dozens of eggs and then sits them in a cold metal tray covers them with plastic and just puts them out cold which is nothing short of lazy and disgusting. When I complained the eggs were called and asked for some fresh hot eggs to be cooked he refused. This cook should be fired.

I went and found the supervisor who then told him to cook me some fresh eggs, but this would be the worst egg station I've seen in any hotel across the world.

Egg stations are designed specifically to prevent the eggs going cold and I cooked to water and there's omelets poached eggs and fried eggs take on average 2 minutes to cook there is no excuse for them not to be cooked fresh and to order.

Breakfast had a poor selection of food available.

There is nothing in the immediate vicinity and you have to walk almost 1 km to a convenience store.

The maintenance at this hotel is very poor and overall this place is overpriced for what you receive.

You can find much better quality hotels that are much better and that are cheaper in price.

Overall a good property, with malls etc in close proximity. Well connected with the airport metro line. Rooms are clean and service is swift. Food has a decent spread. A good property for short stays.

book for a short stay after attend concert, the hotel lobby locate at 8 floor,
car park is big and wide enough, convenient park.
I am happy to have an complementary room upgrade although the room looks nothing different except the floor name.
Room is big and clean, however the train noise is noticeable but acceptable.
the breakfast is superb, wide variety.

Hotel overall is very nice at this price level, and it is very convenient location for me to connect to highway without enter bangkok city.

Hotel staff where amazing. we had a few issues with our travel but the hotel staff sorted everything without much bother and where very flexible with us it was fantastic stay.

The bed was a large, the sheets where soft. The room had plenty of space and came with a view of the rail and cityscape. They came to tidy the room daily and replenished the Water and coffee.

Facilities where great. Taxi back and forth from the bts/ metro station. Nice size infinity pool and a basic gym. Restaurant and bar, roomservice. You can borrow adapters and power banks

Overall it was a fantastic stay the location quiet a little bit out from the main strip but local transport is near by it serviced our needs and the team provided everything we needed I would highly recommend the stay here and would stay here again no questions asked.
