Clarion Hotel Golden Horn

It’s a nice and modern hotel, with beautiful views. The room was spacious and equipped with everything one would need in a 4* hotel. However, we experienced a blocked drain in the shower which delayed our schedule until it could be fixed. We also noted some imperfections in the room which we reported and it was welcomed by the guest relationship manager. The staff were also friendly and accommodating at the check in and check out. The breakfast staff, however, were somewhat irritating because every time we went to get something from the buffet, they cleaned up our table entirely to the point that the first time around we lost our table to someone else, although we left our room card on the table to signal we haven’t left. They even took the card away assuming someone had forgotten, in other words, it was just less personal and a big-hotel like service in which no one knows which guest sits where and who is gone and who isn’t. When I asked if I could have eggs of my choice, the response was rather abrupt and not helpful. Nonetheless, the selection for breakfast is nice and expansive, with beautiful views.

The location is nice and quiet with sea view (if you choose) but a bit far from the city center. There is a bus scheduled every 10 min and it takes about 20-30 min to get to the city. You can also catch a cab as an alternative option. However, we had just ONE experience of an honest cab driver in Istanbul who turned on the taxi meter and brought us to the hotel at a reasonable price. Most cab drivers ask for much higher prices.

My recent stay at Hotel Clarion Golden Horn in Istanbul for three nights was nothing short of perfect—a solid 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. The hotel was immaculately clean, and the staff was beyond amazing. One of the nicest 4* hotels I stayed at in Istanbul. Futuristic design. Very nice and helpful staff.
Great restaurant! The view - great, the food - delicious, the staff- kind and helpful, 5* for all!!! Great and rich open bar breakfast.
The room is very nice and cosy. One issue with the room is that the window had no view other than the internal yard/hallway shaft.
Free parking, which is a great thing.
On the other hand there were a couple of things I didn't like...
It's the first time since I'm visiting Istanbul when the hotel charges me for the Turkish delight they left in the room (a very small box containg just 4 small pieces) and for some nuts in a small jar!!! All of them were on top of the furniture containing the minibar, so NOT in the minibar. At the same time it's for the first time ever in Istanbul when at the check-in I don't find in the room a small welcome gift (some sweets, nuts, fruits, whatever), even the cheapest hotels do that.
And the second thing I didn't like and understand is that in the morning I found in front of the room, on the floor, a piece of paper reminding me that the checkout is at 12:00... It's also the first time, in my life, when I get a reminder like this... I didn't find it very nice.

Rooms were superb with a fantastic view of the tip of the Golden Horn, restaurant(s) were excellent and was close enough to most of the attractions that Istanbul has to offer. I would recommend this hotel.

Moreover, the view from our room overlooking Miniaturk Park was simply breathtaking. Waking up to such a stunning vista added an extra layer of magic to our stay. We found ourselves spending hours mesmerized by the miniature replicas of famous Turkish landmarks.

An absolutely perfect hotel with great service, great management, friendly staff, incredibly delicious food and a unique view.
