The hotel is nicely made and very clean, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet is amazing. However, one thing that left me extremely disappointed and confused was when my child called the concierge for a bottle of water. I was told I would be billed if the water was cold. I thought it was bizarre. If the water was room temperature, they wouldn't charge us. It's extremely hot in Istanbul, and my kids got heat stroke. We struggled to get to the hotel, and when asked at the front desk, we were told this. Just because of this bizarre incident, I wouldn't be choosing this hotel again.

What elevates a hotel stay from just okay to exceptional is, in my opinion, the guest relations. During my stay at the Istanbul Marriott Hotel in July 2023, every staff member—from the receptionist to the concierge to the restaurant staff—went above and beyond to make me feel at home. This outstanding service was why I didn't hesitate to book a room there again for another work trip a year later. My recent experience has been great as well and would recommend it to others.

Great location, safe and quiet.
Great breakfast variety, food quality is great.
staff is very friendly, welcoming, attentive and very good with kids.
Rooms on the other hand, are not up the standard of Marriot name, housekeeping seems to only make the bed and change towels.
I have stayed in two different rooms, both not as clean as they should be. One seems also not maintained well, toilet door handle came off in my hand. Waste under the bedside table and the couch.
When we went out in the morning my kid dropped a piece of his snack on the floor, when we came back it was still on the floor.
I dont think I will book it again.

Great hotel
Arrived after midnight and the checkin staff upgraded me to a junior suite, which was a delight.
The room and bathroom were spacious.
Internet is fast.
Breakfast buffet was great
Only comment is shower water pressure could be stronger.

We loved the view. The staff were very nice and friendly in general. However, the service was quite disappointing, ex: they hadn't left any toothbrush set. Every time we called and asked for something it would take a long time to receive it, that is if we received anything at all or they didn't mix it up and bring someone else's request. The shower cabin kept leaking water outside and since we didn't get the slippers we kept asking for, we were quite uncomfortable using the bathroom. There was a mild foul smell coming from the shower drain after the use which we mentioned to the reception when checking out. At checkout we were told that the deposit payment will be refunded to our card within 10 days, 2 weeks has passed and we're still waiting on that refund.

I took advantage of the Turkish Airlines free stopover and i was really impressed with the hotel. I was able to check in early and the staff were all very helpful.
It was strange going through airport security at the hotel entrance but this is normal for Istanbul.
The room was clean and well furnished with a great bathroom.
I took advantage of room service which arrived quickly and remained hot. The room only had two issues- the iron shorted the room’s electricity and the AC/heater did not seem to work. The staff fixed these problems quickly.
A highlight for me was the fitness centre and spa area which were large and well equipped. One issue was that the store of towels was empty but the attendant was soon fixing it.
Very positive day at the hotel and will consider returning. Slightly off-track for tourists hoping to explore popular areas but otherwise good.

Had 1 night stay with
Deluxe Guest room, 2 Twins, Sea view few days ago.Room was very spacious and comfortable.
Hotel location is good with restaurants at walking distance. We went to Sarihan restaurant 2 minutes away for traditional Turkish food which was good. And had our visit to Dolmabahce Palace. At evening we spent time at the hotel swimming pool facility.
FYI, hotel breakfast at the Dish Room restaurant was really good with a variety of foods served.

It is close to the metro station, which makes it quite easy to get around in a city with such a big traffic problem. Unfortunately, the first room we were given had a strong smell in the bathroom and we had to move to another one. The staff was very kind and tried to serve us the best they could. In general, the rooms are quite large and especially those on the higher floors have amazing view.
Unfortunately when it rained they ran out of umbrellas and couldn't serve us.

I used to enjoy staying at this hotel before. But during my last stay, the hotel is getting old (the rooms only, other facilities are still OK). The hotel needs huge renovation to catch up with hotels nearby that offer same price and luxury service. During my last stay, I had to check-out halfway through my trip and changed hotel due to AC issues as the staff justified it due to cold weather outside (other hotels AC are cold and work perfectly). Lastly, some of hotel staff get a star for trying their best to solve the issue, but the problems are out of their hands. Other reception staff (I would not specify which female :) ) enjoys keeping you waiting.
