Dedem Boutique Hotel

I would rate this hotel 4 out of 5 stars. I’d have given it 3 if it weren’t for the staff. The hotel looks recently renovated, and while we knew it wouldn’t be the best in Istanbul, its central location was a plus. The tram station is conveniently close, making it easy to explore the area using tram, metro or ferry.

The staff were polite, friendly, and respectful, and the manager kindly accommodated our request for twin beds instead of a single when we arrived. They cleaned our room every day except the last, and there were no bed bugs. The shower cabin had some dirty corners. Also we had a drainage issue and when we reported it l, they quickly fixed it and appreciated our feedback.

The street could be noisy some nights, but other nights were quiet. We did experience some slamming doors at night, which was a bit disruptive, but we didn’t mention it since we weren’t sure who was responsible. Breakfast wasn’t great, so we opted to eat at cafes in different neighbourhoods. It would’ve been nice to have the option to skip breakfast altogether. The elevator was out of service on some days, which might be an issue for guests with disabilities.

Overall, this hotel is affordable, and despite a few minor issues, we had a pleasant stay.

We didn't stay at this hotel, unfortunately we booked the wrong dates. However, the night manager was so kind to take us to another hotel,. Ensured we were safe with the kids, and that we charged at a discounted price for a one night stay at another hotel. He stayed until we were settled with our rooms. It was so so kind of him. This was at 3am in the morning.

The hotel must have been recently renovated since everything seemed quite new. The room was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was decent with good selection, although not spectacular. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is really great, close to the main sites and public transportation.
Our room was on the 7th floor, and the elevator did not work during most of our stay, so we had to use the stairs a lot. By the time we left, it was fixed.

This hotel is a 3 star rated place and is perfect for those visitors and tourists that will be on the move the whole day.

I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip.

* Staff were friendly and accommodating to our requests.

* We were a bit skeptical before booking, but it appeared to be a good experience afterwards. The 2/3 year old reviews in Google doesn’t make sense anymore, as they recently renovated the place.

Station is 2 mins walking distance, which connects you to all lines
Beds & Hospitality is super great
Breakfast is clean and refreshing
You can fresh pomegranate juice down the road

Rooms are quite small but fully facilitated, service is efficient and breakfast is just amazing
Location is also perfect so near to main sights of Istanbul

Great location - close to all the historical sites in Sultanahmet. A short walk to the tramway connects the touristy spots and other modes of transport.
Rooms were clean and tidy. Bathroom needed a fee repairs but otherwise a good deal.
No tea and coffee in the room but there is a kettle?
You need to take tea and coffee from the lobby as and when needed.
