At the time of booking I had an entire email discussion with reception about reserving a room on a higher floor, away from noise as much as possible, and that this was confirmed. Upon check in I was told with a shrug of the shoulders that no such room was available and I was given the room immediately above reception facing the street. I'm not sure what was located above me, but after 30 minutes of what sounded like a herd of hoofed animals migrating across my ceiling, I checked out and went somewhere quieter.
I realise that this is a hotel in a central, busy location so expecting absolute silence is unrealistic. But then why bother telling people you're going to put them in a quieter room if you have no intention of doing so?
I should stress that the rooms themselves seemed quite nice if you're not bothered by the noise.

A compact and small hotel with affordable prices, suitable for those who don’t want to spend much and don’t have high expectations for special services.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Great location close to transport, Taksim Square, lots of great food nearby. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The room was lovely. Great bathroom and lots of hot water. I really recommend staying here.

Very nice location. I paid a last minute price and so for the price I paid I was very impressed. The rooms were nice with nice air conditioning. I stayed 2 nights in 2 different rooms. The double room had the most amazing view and the deluxe room was very big. The beds and bed sheets were very comfortable. And the location is great, 2 min walk to Taksim Square.
