Rox Hotel Istanbul

It’s not a hotel , don’t get fooled by the ads or even the reviews. They have no service whatsoever, no laundry. No bell boys. When I asked for a taxi they said they can’t help me. The breakfast is disgusting, and they don’t open the air conditioner in the restaurant and the lobby. So it’s hot and stuffy.
A cat found its place to our room . The room itself is newly decorated however they don’t have bedding covers so they just provide you with a very thin sheet.
The bathroom is so small and no place to put your stuff . They don’t give you enough tissue for the bathroom or the room.

Absolutely garbage! Sitting alone in the lobby, it will cause problems, water bottles causes problems. The service itself is problematic. I was thinking it would be a four star if felt like a two star hotel! There are better places for better prices! Do not bother! I would love to tell the management what they could improve on but they don’t speak any English nor French! Not worth it. I book it for 7 nights and after the first two I was ready to leave!

I am disappointed with the hotel. I went to Istanbul for surgery purposes, chose from 5 hotels and chose this one because I heard good reviews. However, upon arrival I was very disappointed. The first night I could not sleep because of the noise from the street. I asked to change to a quieter room but got one next to the elevator, where the noise was even louder, the room smelled of cigarettes, the windows did not close properly, when you tried to close them the walls and the bed shook, and at night there was a man snoring in the room next door. The next day I left for surgery and the following day they promised me that when I returned there would be a quiet room ready for me. After my surgery, I was released to the same smelly room and had to wait for over two hours to be moved to a new room to rest. After 2 hours of waiting, they released me to a room where construction workers were returning walls next to it. On top of all that, I am disappointed with the kitchen. After surgery, people are supposed to eat light meals. The menu is completely unsuitable. I ordered chicken schnitzel with steamed vegetables, but they brought me tough meat with green leaves. The food is completely different from what is written on the menu. I have to explain them 5 times what I ordered, and I feel bad about it. If I'm honest, I never write reviews, but this time I couldn't help it. The worst hotel and experience I've ever had. First and last time here. I do not recommend.

Dear Rox hotel, my reply to your answer is: When I was on my way to the hospital, the manager offered me to move to another hotel, but it was a last-minute offer and I really didn't want to bother. We decided that I would stay here, but they assured me that after the operation I would be taken straight to a new room to rest. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Neither the doctor nor the administration managers expected that. I had to wait for another couple of hours until they assigned me a new room with non-functional doors, and even then I couldn't rest because the repairmen were fixing my door and listening to the ongoing construction work behind the wall.

As for the menu, that's exactly why I chose what is written in your menu - schnitzel with BOILED vegetables, but I received a burnt meat with cabbage leaves. Your proposed menu is not written like this. How do you imagine someone who can't swallow saliva to eat cabbage leaves? And so the menu selection is narrow, I tried to order the lightest food possible. Your menu was written to include cooked vegetables with the meat, but I received a plate of green leaves... I called the kitchen, and a man came with the administrator to explain, I can't speak, my nose is bleeding, I'm telling them that I ordered exactly what is written in the menu - cooked vegetables because I can't eat leaves. They tell me that the kitchen doesn't do that. I say okay, don't give me this dish back and return the money. Then the man from the reception came and said okay, we'll make the cooked vegetables. And I received two pieces of baked carrot and the same green leaves again..
