Surmeli Istanbul Hotel

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony in Surmeli Hotel in September 2014, literally 10 years ago. We live in Canada and we chose Istanbul for our wedding so that our friends and relative from around the world could attend our ceremony. We enjoyed a small yet extremely warm 2-day event, with guests from 13 different countries and 4 continents. Most of our guests stayed in the same hotel and all of us very much enjoyed the place. Rooms were clean and cozy. The staff at Surmeli did a great job in welcoming us and ensuring that everything went ideal and better than what we expected. Although none of us nor our guests were Turkish speakers, we were able to communicate all our needs in English. Food were amazing and we received and incredible service from all aspects. Even after 10 years, we talk about Surmeli and enjoy our memories from the hotel. I am 110% sure that we will go back one day; even some of my friends throw the idea of having a reunion there. Maybe we should get our act together sooner than later.

Staff are very friendly especially Orhan he was so helpful and kind he made our stay so much better. And the hotel is lovely nice views rooms are clean. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Surmeli hotel is the hottest Hotel in Istanbul if you get the chance to visit go there the bar and kitchen staff are on to of there game the duty manager kazim and orhan has the best hosting skills and this is the second time I've been Istanbul

I visiythis place in 1996, it was exceptional, I don't know what happened in 2022, dark interior, some rooms have smoke leak(People are smoking and coming to our room, staff are friendly, wish things get better and back to normal.

Kazim operation manager and his staff were fantastic and couldn't do enuff for me made.me feel at home 5 stars from me

I would like to mention that all the hotel and restaurant staff were very kind and especially Kazim who served us the best Turkish coffee.
I would recommend offering 2-3 soups for breakfast, which are very suitable for those who have dental treatment.

Been here twice, don't call directly to hotel for reservations because prices are doubled and sales stuff are rude. Buy from hotel booking sites which is much cheaper. Good location, rooms are big but no extras. One of the oldest hotel in the area, it was luxury when it's first lunch but, now it's cash cow for owners, no investment no extras, just good room

Great service, big enough rooms, no noise from the street. 10-15 min walking to the Sesli metro station, one can find as exercise or as too long 😜
Don't listen to those NEGATIVE reviews - 2 new bottles of water in a fridge every day, electric kettle with coffee and tea are there for you. About breakfast - WHY would you €16 extra if plenty of great & cheap food is around??????
