Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi

Awful, incredibly awful. I will never understand when hotels try to mix night club music and rooms. I stay in Marriott property roughly 150 nights a year and this is maybe the 2nd review I’ve ever written about a Marriott property.

I got put in the 10th floor under what I’m assuming is a night club or something. Everything was fine when I went to bed at 9. By 11 I was awoken by base impossible to drown out with a noise maker on my phone. THE BASE WAS SO LOUD!

I had a 6am flight and would have had to pack my bags completely at 11pm prior to a 3am wake up call. Moving wasn’t a reasonable option. Shame on the designers and hotel for making that something anyone should have to ask for when they come here for rest. No one is coming to sleep under a cocktail table at a night club.

Our stay at the Marriott Hotel turned out to be an extremely disappointing experience. Having booked two connecting rooms to comfortably accommodate my family, we were given two separate rooms on the 11th floor. This arrangement was far from what we had planned for our family stay.

The inconvenience didn’t stop there. Our night was severely disrupted by blaring music coming from the hotel’s terrace, making it impossible for me and my family to get a decent rest. Faced with this situation, we expressed our dissatisfaction at the reception, hoping to find a solution or at least some form of compensation for the discomfort suffered. Unfortunately, the response was far from satisfactory. We were merely offered apologies without any gesture of goodwill to mitigate our disappointment.

It’s important to highlight that I chose this hotel specifically for its promises of comfort and customer satisfaction. This experience not only spoiled our stay but also marked our first and last visit to this establishment. The lack of consideration for guest well-being and the absence of a responsive approach to complaints are unacceptable aspects for a hotel of this standing.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend the Marriott Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. It’s regrettable that an establishment of such stature fails to meet the basic expectations of its guests.

I checked in for a business trip last night, my check in was smooth and all was perfect till after breakfast, my card wasn’t working with the elevator and with my room as well so I came downstairs for the receptionist to help reactivate the room key. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this is a very common problem however the receptionist was so rude and unprofessional, she’s from Phillipines ( Cris Hart) was her name.
She asked me for my passport or my ID. Even when she could clearly see that I’m in courtyard flipflops!!!
After wasting my time for 10 minutes she asked my DOB which I gave her the answer only till then she reactivated my room key. Absolutely unprofessional!!! No hotel has ever asked me this or treated me this way, book elsewhere for you business trips or holidays
