The accommodations at Oryx hotel were comfortable and well-maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a pleasant stay.
While the hotel itself offers a restaurant, I must mention that it fell a bit short of expectations. The menu had potential, but the execution didn’t quite match the quality of the other aspects of the hotel. However, the great news is that the nearby food street more than compensates for this. With so many options just a short walk away, I found myself exploring various eateries that offered an array of delightful dishes.

Oryx Hotel: Ongoing Nightmare with Abusive Staff
I am currently enduring a horrifying stay at the Oryx Hotel, primarily due to the appalling and abusive behavior of the male receptionist. Upon arrival with a confirmed booking, I was subjected to a three-hour wait for a room. The receptionist's complete disregard for my time and patience was evident in his rude and dismissive attitude when I inquired about the excessive delay.
To make matters worse, the receptionist proceeded to shout at me in a hostile manner, escalating the situation to a completely unacceptable level. His behavior is not only unprofessional but also abusive and creates a hostile environment for guests. I am still a guest at the hotel, and the ongoing negative impact of the receptionist's actions is significant.
It is disheartening to note that this appears to be a recurring issue, as numerous Google reviews highlight similar complaints about the receptionist's behavior. I strongly advise potential guests to avoid this hotel and choose accommodations with staff who prioritize customer satisfaction and well-being.

Good location, near beach and bus station, swimming pool at the top of hotel, super amazing reception team.

Very convenient location. 5 min rooms service, they even faster come to your room than you are managing to get up.
Don't forget about pool. Working hours from 6 to 20.

Rooms were nice, spacious, clean, bed was comfortable and smells good. Location was perfect, close to corniche and Emirates Palace where we will have our event that night... the only downside was the front desk service. They were too slow, seemed confused of what they need to do. It took them a while to take our car for valet. Anyhow, it was a good value for money

Stay away from this hotel. This is by no means a 4 star hotel. The rooms are extremely crusty and very old. The shower areas also have hygiene issues and there is mould in a lot of areas.
On top of the sub-standard rooms, the staff is rude and impolite. The receptionist had no courtesy or welcoming tone and gave us a poor welcome, after which we were minding our own business without much interaction and left on our time.
Overall very poor for the price.

Very satisfied with this hotel! Our room (and even bathroom!) were big and clean! The breakfast has a big variety like eggs, croissants, oats, juice etc. The staff is very very professional and friendly, though the hotel was fully booked, at some point the manager found for us and booked room 2 days before our arrival! And location is very good, only 5 to 10 min walking distance till the beach. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Oryx provided an outstanding experience, surpassing our expectations. The apartment was huge, spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The breakfasts were varied and tasty, with new choices daily. The dinners were amazing too, offering two large portions with a hookah (sisha) for just 30€. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The range of toiletries, including shampoos, creams, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comb, razors and many more added to the comfort. Daily housekeeping kept everything pristine and well-stocked, including at least two mineral waters daily. Highly recommended for a superb stay.

I don't think it deserves many stars due to the lack of cleanliness, unwashed windows... unfortunately. If attention is paid to these issues, it would be great. Also, my boyfriend almost fell victim to a 100 euro fraud after using his card for payment at the hotel. So, be very cautious with transactions! You might end up losing money from your card. I reported this issue to the staff, but no measures were taken to check the system.
However, I really loved the food: the breakfast was exceptional, and for lunch, we had incredibly well-prepared seafood. The delicious food saved the experience.
