Location:in the Central part of Albena, 30 km from Varna international airport.
Consists of one 9-storey building.
Beach: public sandy beach, 150 m from the hotel (2 coastline). Umbrellas, sun beds: free.

I've worked in hotels around Europe for almost 15 years, I think I know something about it...
If this is 5 stars I'm the Pope,
I have seen 2 or 3 star hotels that are much better organized and with more polite and trained staff.
Non-existent services, animation was horrible.
Worst hotel I've ever been to in Bulgaria, and I'm very sorry because I had good expectations.

Decent but a little dated rooms, nice staff.
Luckily the poolarea at the adjacent Flamingo Grand is accessible if you stay here. Very easy to find sunbeds.

So far so good, until I got to the bathroom (my room is on the 4h floor). Don’t recommend. The status of 5 - star hotel clearly doesn’t match the reality.

The rooms are very spacious. We had booked an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room which is a great option for family with kids, or if you are a group of more than 2 adults and want to be in an apartment. There are two separate bathrooms and a very big terrace with an exceptional view.
All hotel staff members are very friendly and caring. The food at the restaurant is good, there is variety as well.
The only reason I give 4 stars not 5 is due to the fact that even though we stayed in an apartment we were allowed to have for free only one umbrella with two sunbeds at the beach. Regardless what room type you pay, you only have this option on the beach. The guy who checks the room passports there is not friendly at all, only half of the umbrellas were used but he will not allow you to take an extra sunbed.

Bugs everywhere, food has hair in it. Wifi is pretty bad too for a 5 star hotel. Housekeeper doesn’t vacuum, doesn’t know how to make the bed. Staff is very nice, but very slow. Bathroom mirror is not straight but wobbly.

I just recently came back from this hotel and we did had good stay. I am going to outline good & bad experiences in hotel.
Good:
-Brilliant animation team
- Nice swimming pool
- Walking distance to beach and 2 sunbeds included in stay.
- Nice breakfast and dinner food, also chefs very nice.
-One housekeeping (blond hair) lady nice.
Bad:
- Paid car park
- There was money taken from our room, we notified reception and money came back to our room , but no apologies or explanation given to us.
- Rooms are outdated especially bathrooms
- Village is expenisive. No proper food to buy (bread, pastry, cheese). Without car we would eneded up eating junk food all the time,between shop in resort and lidl at least 3 bgn difference.
- You dont feel welcome from most of dinner staff.
It really should be max 4 star hotel. Compering to different countreis it would be consider as 3 or 4 star hotel.
If you have to use doctor service I will advise you to voide the resorts ones and just go directly to hospital.

On my stay last month I was pleasantly surprised. Even though I wasn't there in the season, I got to experience Albena and Flamingo Grand to some extent.
Food: tasty and lots of options available
Service: friendly, cleaning could've happened a bit more frequently and towels could've been changed more
Location: Albena is a big resort with nice beaches. Because my visit wasn't during the season, I cannot recommend other restaurants and facilities.
SPA: was alright, the main reason for my visit wasn't the spa, so I couldn't enjoy it for a long time, however more towels could've been a plus; although there was a water machine, the tube the SPA wasn't changed throughout the whole stay, so there was no water for like 4 days straight.
However beds and towels were very comfortable.
The room had all its necessities, a small kitchen counter, large bathroom, two bedrooms.
Would totally visit again.

We had a lovely time in November, and we've already booked our next 2 visits! Spacious studio, great food and fantastic white wine, the staff is super-kind and welcoming. We liked the SPA and the connection to the 25-meter swimming pool in Dobrudja hotel. I highly recommend Elena, the cosmetic lady at the Spa in Flamingo, she made my face so radiant, that even my husband noticed, and her recommendations were priceless!

The rooms, balcony, especially the bathroom were very dirty. The bathroom had brown liquid marks out and in the toilet seat, the shower place was covered with lime scale and was also stinky, the floor stinked. The side elevators were very filty, there was dust and even mud inside which remained there for a week. Even the windows were dirty. My child got sick and trew up near the pool and the vomit dried and remained there until we left the hotel 3 days later. The pool had green dirt near the edges. Drops and spots at the coffe machine were never cleaned, they just accumulated for the week we spent at the hotel. Bed sheets were clean.
Random storage rooms and staff elevators were not marked "staff only" so you can get there by accident. Staff does not know what common sense is. Don't expect an adequate help.
Over a month expired milk was sold to us from the hotel supermarket and our children were very sick as a result.
If you don't speak Bulgarian you will not understant how fed up staff is and how much they dislike tourists. You could still get it by the tone and guestures though.
I would not go back.
