I slept comfortably

I recently visited the resto bar at this establishment, and while it wasn’t particularly busy, we encountered quite a disappointing experience. Despite the place being well-staffed, we had to ask for menus after waiting for some time, and the overall service was incredibly slow. It felt like the waiters were more focused on cleaning tables and standing around than attending to guests. After waiting for over 25 minutes without being served, we decided to leave.
What really stood out as unacceptable was our encounter with the presumed manager. As we informed him we were leaving due to the long wait, his response was shockingly unprofessional. His first question was, “How long have you been waiting?” followed by, “Don’t you have hands?”—a comment that made us feel like it was our fault for the poor service. This kind of attitude towards paying customers is simply wrong and left a very bad impression.
On the other hand, the waitress who accompanied him did apologize, which was appreciated.
This review only reflects our experience on the rooftop terrace, so I cannot comment on the hotel services or the quality of the food and drinks. Based solely on the lack of service and the poor attitude from management, I can only give two stars.

5 star hotel only on name and location. The rooms are falling apart and amenities in the rooms are abysmal. Temperature control is poor... Rooms are ultra noisy. There is a club/roof top bar on top of the hotel and even 3 floor down in the €400 per night rooms the walls are vibrating until 2 pm. Not exactly a 5 star experience.
The spa is small and does not even have a jacuzzi. The shower room is flooded and not repaired during 4 days of stay.
Staff not trained well, throwing tantrums and more suitable for an Imbiss instead of a 5 star hotel (front of house manager was the only exception who knew hlwhat top service is).
All in all you will be better off in an Airbnb.

The room is quite small and the power goes out from time to time. The hotel is in a great location, in the busiest area of the city center. The swimming pool is nice. Free white wine is provided in the lobby in the afternoon, which is great.

The location is great, the hardware is very good, and there is English service at the front desk, but the software, service and soundproofing are not good. The front desk was still under renovation when we went there.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the city. Very nice SPA, excellent breakfast on the top floor with a wonderful view on Sofia! We had a perfect room with a top view on Austrian and Italian embassy .
Only (small) minus was that is was possible to smoke in the roof-top-bar during night and the music was very, very loud! Nevertheless for our next visit in Sofia we will come back!!!

Good hotel part of the Marriott offering globally (I think the only one in Sofia); location is great - as you can see from the photos attached; near by are many key sites to visit and explore; only potential issue - if you are on the top floor room you may hear music/noise from the hotel bar on the roof

What a great hotel. Contemporary rooms. Beautiful spa area and in a perfect location. We should have asked for a higher floor but no.road.noise. breakfast was excellent. We visited the rooftop bar for a drink and views are very good.

The room was spacious with large windows, offering a lovely view. While the bed was a bit small, it was comfortable enough for our stay. The highlight of the hotel for me was the rooftop bar, a popular spot for young people to unwind. The lobby's open bar concept created a welcoming atmosphere, and the efficient reception staff added to the pleasant experience.
However, there was one downside to my stay on the 3rd floor - occasional strong smells of smoke, which was quite disappointing. Overall, Sense Hotel Sofia is a great choice for visitors looking for a stylish and enjoyable stay, especially if you don't mind the occasional odor issue.
