Hotel VEGA Sofia

Just left the hotel after 3 hours in the room. Price is for a 4star hotel, however the airconditioning wasn't working. No room service, meaning no food, or drinks. Minibar had total of 5 bevareges and only one 0.5l water.
The room was decent, but that's it. The reception lady 'allowed' us to order food from outside if we wanted ?! What a joke

The hotel was fine until last night. It was 40 degrees but the air-con didn't work. Reception explained after I contacted them that the whole hotel was affected but the repair firm would not be coming until Monday (it was Saturday). We wanted to open the windows to compensate but there were two problems: the traffic noise and the hotel were hosting a wedding reception with a loud disco--the lobby doors were open so the music was blaring out everywhere.

I can understand that the hotel were then in a difficult situation--they couldn't really cancel a wedding reception. But why host one in the first place when guests are meant to be sleeping on the floors above? Our group (we were also there for a wedding but that was being held elsewhere) did not get any acknowledgement that we had been deeply inconvenienced and the hotel seemed to act like what happened was not their problem. That is why I only give them one star. I've stayed in other hotels, both cheaper and more expensive, and on the rare occasion when there has been an issue, such as overbooking, the hotel has always made an effort to make amends. Not this time, sadly.
