Clean hotel with neat rooms at the right price. Close to the metro. Unfortunately, there is nothing to drink in the evening.

Great location for the station, park and local area. Easy to get to the city center. The room was clean and spacious. The shower gets 5 points. The lack of draws is my biggest.complaint. It is nice to unpack. I'd stay here again.

I had an unexpected overnight stay at the Best Western Amedia and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Check in went smoothly and my room was basic but clean. The breakfast was nice and the croissants were delicious. The location of the hotel was quite far from the centre however there was a tube stop right outside and just down the road was the most beautiful park which led into a cemetery...

Nice and clean rooms, supportive staff and good breakfast

It's located around 30 minutes away with public transportation from the city center. The hotel was very clean and neat. Although the room was small, they provided a wardrobe to store our belongings, a television, a safe box, and a small fridge filled with drinks. You also don't need to bring towels because they provide them.

I booked 10 rooms for our Princess Tour while we were in Hamburg. The hotel was nice, and clean as one would expect. My room - supposedly a massive upgrade, was very loud, as it was facing the main street. However, when checking out I was sort of attacked by the front desk lady as I had left one of my room key cards in my room. She made me go back and get it - as otherwise, she would penalize me....

Clean Rooms. Unfortunately, sleep only with closed window possible, since the area is due to shipping traffic is very loud.

A few streets away, very good Restaurants with good - cosy, cheap and delicious it is. Bus directly in front of the door (line M3). Dogs and babies welcome! Perfect location for a morning run around the lake. Note that the hotel is not wheelchair accessible. There is a lift but to get from ground floor to the reception you need to take at least 5-7 steps. Not very convenient with the stroller. Water offered in the room. We stayed here for several nights this week. When we booked, only one room was available on booking.com which is possibly why we got a great rate. Room 3 (ground floor, behind reception and on the front of the building) was very clean and nicely decorated but quite small and dark. Really nice hotel located close to a nice walking area along the lake and also to a street called Lange Reihe, which had every conceivable type of restaurant without being too upmarket. Also easy walking distance from the railway station even when pulling a suitcase. All in all was a good choice of hotel in Hamburg.

The rooms are clean but a bit old and small, especially the bathroom which is really really tiny. The breakfast is very good, super fresh and offers lots of variety. The location is right next to the Altona station which can be convenient.

Hotel too close to train station very noisey till late ahd early in the morning

We were so lucky to have met the most lovely concierge who made our check in process the best. He was so accommodating and helpful. The room was very clean and cute. Great location to walk to the train station so you can get anywhere. Also a cute downtown nearby with lots of great food options for a quick snack. Would stay here again, definitely recommend!

Staff really friendly and nice. Breakfast had everything any traveler may need ( maybe a pastry would have made it PERFECT). Beds are super confy and love the style of the art theoughout the hotel.

Hotel is in a very convenient and walkable location, the staff is nice and accommodating, and the breakfast buffet is good. Unfortunately, there was mold in our shower (not news if you've seen the other reviews). Our room was very small, to the point of being difficult to walk around in. It also had almost no soundproofing from outside noise, so sirens from emergency vehicles were extremely loud...

Breakfast is very simple. Worst thing: No cappucino. Just filter coffee. Would be a small investment with amazing results. Rooms are fine though. Also 24/7 reception.

Breakfast was included in the price. The hotel is located in a good walking distance to the centre of Hamburg and to the water. The room was small, we couldn't open the window because it was too much traffic outside. The bed wasn't comfortable at all. Parking is located in a nearby garage.

I just spent a couple of nights there with 2 other family members. Was generally satisfied, you get what is essential for that price (which is amazing comparing to other places nearby). good hotel.clean with a great view if you are given an upper floor. the only downside is that the last bus depart at midnight from the station so it is not suited for those who need to come back very late

Had the cheapest room, the room was good quality. Check in was fast and simple. Only stayed for one night and had to leave before breakfast service started so didn't get to try that.

My partner and I recently stayed here. It was our first trip to hamburg. The staff are friendly, the rooms are what you require for a sight seeing trip. Clean and beds are comfortable. The hotel is away from the main centre but easily accessible... Should we return to hamburg (and I hope we do) we would most certainly stop at the Bridge inn again

Breakfast was full of people at some hours so had to wait and the shower/toilet systems felt a bit weird but it was a good place to sleep.

Very cosy hotel not far from the railway station. Comfortable beds, welcoming staff, nicely decorated interior. You can ignore all those comments, saying that the streets around the hotel are not safe. No matter if it was 10pm or 2am - there was no problems around, not even a possibility of any threat.

The hotel is brilliant. It’s very good value for money and the beds are really comfy. The staff are the best bit about the hotel and are very accommodating. The area isn’t great but as long as you walk in from the best western end of the road you don’t have to go through St Georg. I would happily stay here again 👍

Very nice hotel and nice service. They offered us to choose a room - a small room with a nice street view or a bigger room with a yeard view. The room was clean, with big TV, desk, and 2 armchairs. The bath had a small bathtub. They also have a room with mini-bar that you can use 24/7. Check pit is at 11.

I really like this place. Been staying there 1-3 times a year for over 10 years. Not fancy but nice. I just wish they would again have shaker cocktails in the communal mini bar😁

Staff was great, the room was beautiful and ginormous (with more than enough space for me and my family of 4), the bathroom is of really high standards, everything was as it should. Short walk to town through the park. Rooms are spacious and have nespresso machines. The hotel is part of a building shared with 4 other hotels and they all share a reception. Go up to the 2nd floor when you enter to get there.

Very neat and clean room & bathroom with good interiors. Capsule coffee machine and a mini fridge available with charges being applied for the coffee capsules and anything from the fridge. Area around is mostly residential. We had a comfortable stay here.

Went there as part of a group and the event was well organised, also because they selected this wonderful hotel. The room was clean, and you get a good nights' sleep. Stayed for three nights. Twice when cleaning the room, the rag was thrown on the sofa, which was very disgusting. The baby bed I requested was not delivered to the room in time. I asked again the next night and it was delivered. I had mentioned it twice when I checked in. But the surrounding scenery is good. My friend said it is a hotel in the old money area.

Is cozy except for the street noise. For a surcharge of € 20 you get a view of the garden. Very nice operator, very attentive and friendly. So far everything was clean.

Stayed here when travelling for work. Excellent service and breakfast. The decor is not to everyone's taste but is clean and rooms well presented. It is nicely situated a short walk from Wellingsbuttel and the S Bahn. Very pleasant morning runs along the river. I also bought very good wine from the Weinstube opposite.

Everything was fine. I just found the breakfast, with its cheap baked goods and industrial scrambled eggs, unacceptable for the price. Sorry. I'm a trained chef in the hotel industry.

This is a good affordable hotel, I spent one nigth here alon. Be ware that it is a 2/3-star hotel. You get what you are paying for. Helpful staff, good but small room. Cleaning is good, bed is good. There is parking in the back if yoyu need this. It is close to Altona Bahnhof which was important for me. Here you have direct access to the S-bahn network. This is a good hotel option for being close to a train station, which also has taxis when available. The hotel itself is good. My room pretty much looks like the first pictures room. There is no AC but the windows open (no bugs!) and there is a fan in the closet. The bathroom is roomy but the shower is small. For Americans- there are no wash clothes- typical so I brought one of those spongellé things...

We rate the hotel as good. Why there are 3 points “satisfactory” and “good” is missing is not clear to us. But for us it is not very good or excellent. I'm glad to have experienced the Rafael. Parts of it felt foreign to me, but it all worked out. First of all, the Rafael's location is superb. A short walk to the Altona Hbf connects visitors to anywhere in Hamburg or beyond. I picked this place because of a national holiday following a Sunday - most businesses were closed both days, but the train station's groceries and other stores were still open...
