Location is central. Hôtel‘s Facility is acceptable but Service is very poor. Labors doesn‘t clean your room correcty and they aren’t on time or they start room Service since 8:30 am and you don’t have calm in the early morning.

Coming from the airport, Hotel Alte Wache is located within easy walking distance to the Hamburg main train station. The hotel reception offered us free luggage storage for 3! days as we moved on to Helgoland. Very nice location. Near to central bus and train station. You can find everything very easily from this hotel. The girl in the reception was very nice and kind. The hotel is quite old, but clean and situated very close to the main railway station. Breakfast offer was very poor, especially for vegans. They don't have even plant based milks, which I find unprofessional nowadays.

The hotel is a typical budget hotel. For relatively little money you can sleep for 1-3 nights. This is not a tourist facility where you enjoy your stay. The decor of the rooms is basic and dated. There is a TV, a small fridge, a basic bed, a lamp and a safe. I really missed the kettle and tea. There wasn't even a glass for drinks, which should have been standard by now. Everything is good except the party is super loud !

I liked the hotel. After a stay in Vabali, we checked in around 10:30 p.m. and were warmly welcomed. The breakfast was delicious, we even had scrambled eggs freshly prepared.

Clean room, good location just a 3-minute walk from the central train station. Our request for early check-in was denied because the rooms were being cleaned, but our request to store our luggage was granted free of charge. We thank the hotel reception.

Toilet is small. Breakfast is not good

The hotel is very stylish, but there are several steps at the entrance, which makes it difficult to carry large luggage up. The transportation is very convenient, it is right next to the central railway station, but the flow of people is more complicated.

Just about 5 minutes walking from the Hamburg central train station to the hotel; a good thing is very convenient to travel, but a bad thing to be considered is the safe concerned because of lot of homeless people and beggars in this area.. It’s located almost in front of the other exit of the main station so I didn’t bother to carry my luggage at all:) It’s also 1 or 2 mins walk to the bus and U-bahn station. Much less dangerous or less noisier as l expected. The only one thing that l was disappointed was they didn’t have a coffee machine for breakfast but overall it’s good for the price :)

This is a no frills hotel good for staying a couple of nights. It is quite expensive for what it actually is, but it was among the cheapest options I coule find when booking. The hotel is small and very limited in terms of services, a room for two people ends up being very uncomfortable. There are not many options around although it is relatively close to a train station to make a trip. I would only recommend this hotel in case you can't find any other options.

Hotel is located in an industrial area. I stayed for one night. The night was tranquil and quiet. I slept with the window open and had no problems. Room was big and had two beds. The bathroom is very small but the shower was very good. Furniture looked good and new. Breakfast was very good and had a great choice. Staff was nice but very reserved. Just brilliant on every level - the location and rooms were fab. The breakfast stunning but what really made my trip were the staff - they were amazing, really helpful and just nice. Very stylish hotel in Hafencity, cool lactation. Amazingly decorated rooms. I paid 225 Euro for one night. What really turned me off, the breakfast is an additional 26 Euros. That feels like a ripoff. There are better high value for money alternatives than 25 Hours nearby. Will not return.

In the mountains, transportation is not very convenient, eating around is not very convenient, and the food is not familiar to me.

Nicely located, very clean, comfortable. The less positive is the bathroom and especially the access to the shower which is in the bad tub. It´s very dangerous because slippery and difficult for elder people to access. No airco in the rooms neither but we were helped with with little windmills

Room wasn't soundproof as advertised and room was quite hot. But location was good.

The hotel has a good location; although it's in a bustling area, it's quiet enough to sleep in. The room is small and clean, but the soundproofing of the door isn't very good. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Offers family rooms which are great for parents together with kids. We had a normal 2 persons bed, one bed in the corner and a raised bed. The kids had a great time. The breakfast is extensive and very good. Would recommend.

Checked in at just past 17:00 to be told my room was not yet cleaned. I waited over an hour before the room was ready without even an apology or compensation. The room had a lovely view of the Elbe, but the room was extremely hot on arrival with no way of turning on cooling. I had to open the doors. I'm not sure if there are bed bugs in the room as I have multiple bites and itchy skin after 2 nights...

Beautiful hotel right on the Elbe. Large rooms, we even had a view of the Elbe. The ferry stops right in front of the hotel, so it's easy to get into Hamburg. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. If we get the chance, we'll definitely come back.

Front desk very helpful, offered water or shot of jagermeister! Modern decor with just the basics. Great pricing, walking around many restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets. I didn't mind the smaller rooms, actually it's amazing what they pack into the area.

Hotel is out of the city center. But you can use public transportation.

I guess it's understandable considering the relatively cheap price and the facilities. However, although it may be unavoidable that the toilets are shared, it is still inconvenient to be on different floors.

You need to get to the hotel first by train, then by bus. Overall, it's a good hotel. Average breakfast, clean room. It wasn't entirely clear why the shower was in the room and the toilet was on the floor. And it was an individual toilet with a key only for my room. Never seen anything like that.

Highly impressive COVID-19 breakfast routine. There is no self-service, everything is picked from the buffet by a lady who is careful and attentive to pick everything you want — and still she manages to keep everything going without too much of a queue building.

This was the first time staying at the hotel but I had an Amazing Experience. The rooms are surprisingly spacious & the food at the Italian Restaurant below is Great. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Ms Claudia Kuhring in the front office went over & beyond to arrange for my laundry to be sorted out promptly as time was a factor. Chosen originally for convenience of location, but we returned (twice) because the hotel, staff and Volksdorf itself were so nice. Beautiful modern and spacious rooms, great comfort and a warm welcome even in Covid crisis times. Pricier than average for the area but worth it. Will be back.

Very humble & cooperative staff of hotel. Our hotel booking was cancelled by Company & reached there by mistake & stucked at late evening after journey of 18 hours. They offered coffee & Pizza at no cost as well as cordinate with our company on behalf of us as it was difficult to describe problem & arrange transportation at that time.
