What more can I say... it sounds more exciting at first than it actually is. It's a typical hipster hotel: everything cool, everything casual, but not very practical, and even less professional! Getting from the ground floor to your room is always a trek, and the numerous uninspired construction fences and red-white-red plastic barrier tapes make you feel like you're walking through a construction...
Apart from not getting much advise on parking (two places nearby for reasonable money, I found a tip somewhere, but not from the hotel), the stay was great.
The welcome was great, nice personal, great to take the elevator instead of walking the steps. We had a room on the 5th floor next to the restaurant where the restaurant squeezed us in for a great dinner, the room was new, of course in a rather...
Achingly hip hotel overlooking St Pauli Stadium and right next door to Feldstrasse U Bahn. Rooftop garden is a major tourist attraction and you have lift access like a VIP. A unique hotel experience everyone coming to Hamburg should try it!
Good and safe feeling environment with a amazing view of the city, just wish I could've warmed my room up a bit more
A concrete block, overwhelming mass and history. It was my first time staying in a place like this.
Great hotel ! Great surroundings ! The only downside was the bar was closed both nights for a private function

Loved the location close to ZOB and the easiest check in and access - the room was a great price compared to other destinations
Clean and silent
Clean and very silent hotel although situated in a noisy street. The breakfast was really not my taste, too heavy, with no lighter alternatives. Also it began at 8:00 which was rather late when you’re just passing by
Very nice hotel. Close to the train station. Ideal for exploring the city on foot. The hotel's neighborhood is very multicultural and lively. A diverse mix of people and cultures mingle here.
It is very close to the central station, which is the direction where there are many homeless people. It is not suitable for solo travelers or women. The parking lot is extremely hidden. Drivers should be prepared to drive around for a long time before finding it.
Amazing hotel.
Amazing hotel for the price. Bed was comfortable. Bath was not properly guarded so water spilled into other areas. Location is not too far from the train station.
Great hotel

couldn’t have asked for a better stay! CAB20 was beyond what my boyfriend and i hoped it to be, with everything you could ever need at your fingertips (including umbrella rentals, luggage storage, and a 24 hour bar and restaurant!) also randomly had the best coffee i’ve had so far in germany at their breakfast. so many lounge areas and the friendliest staff. please open more locations across europe...
Good and clean accommodation. They cabines are small but you have everything you need and it‘s well soundproof. Good value for money for the room.
I wanna mention the breakfast. It‘s fine but the selection a bit small for the price and no coffee included which is baffling to me. You‘re may be better off having breakfast somewhere else.
This is an interesting place to stay. The service is good, rooms are clean and there are loads of good showers.
Each room is half of a garden shed in size. If you have lots of luggage it won't fit in the room. Image a 'L' on its side like in Tetris. This is your part of the cabin/shed.
I use the place each time I come to Hamburg, it is near the main station and decent to use. Just go in aware of...
I think this place is really great. The concept of cabin hotels is pretty cool and definitely suited me for the purposes of my trip. The rooms are clean and well put together. You won’t have any floor space other than the bed itself so beat that in mind. Lots of toilets and showers, towels are avail label and it’s really just a very efficient hotel with no fluff. The staff are super helpful and friendly...
Good Cabin hotel, near Hamburg Hbf, but the way to hotel gave me feeling a bit scary. However, when you’re at the hotel, it’s very nice; just avoid going to hotel at night. Better have a bottle of water in the room will be perfect.
The room is indeed a little small, and the bathroom is shared, but the service is good. I personally don't mind it. It's good for a one-night stopover. The front desk is very enthusiastic and provides hot water, which is very warm.

Great view of the water (if you get a water view), great repurposing of a warehouse, and the location is good too. Robotic parking garage is very modern. Airplane like bathroom and shower suction plumbing is loud. Use of keypad entry codes for rooms is needlessly complicated. Access to lobby and parking is cumbersome.
Fantastic location with amazing views of the port. This is a converted industrial building with a bar restaurant on the top floor. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent, lovely staff. One strange thing is the aircraft style plumbing but it was as if that was part of the character too. We loved our stay and would definitely return, lots of restaurants and bars nearby
Stay two nights here, the location is great. However the service is just average, and the downside shouldn't even happen with a hotel at this price.
First room we entered has a harbour view but a very smelly bathroom, we asked for a change, the reception changed us to another room with good efficiency, although the room has no view anymore, it's acceptable for us to have a normal smelling room.

When checking in the door code did not work.
Also the room was quite «rough» and there was much noise, and every time someone nearby flushed the toilet you hear the pumps.
Strange and bad
A modern hotel with the reception not at the entrance but you have to take the elevator up. The signage is not very clear so it was difficult to figure out where the reception is. Nothing in the description. Ok, small thing once you know. Next is parking which is advertised as available. I did get a parking space but it was very difficult to get someone to open the gate to the parking...

The interior is lovely and the hotel is very quite. The area is just perfect for walks and strolls around the Alster, Buses just stop in front of the hotel, but you could walk towards the inner city or central station. There are plenty of Cafes and Restaurants around.
Classy hotel, great service, fantastic bar and restaurant. If visiting, business or pleasure, try it out. I am pretty sure you will return. I did and will continue using The George for my trips to Hamburg.
Decent hotel. Close to the main station and the city. Also next to the hospital
Very good hotel, friendly staff and the food is excellent, very nice atmosphere in the bar 😃

Nice hotel at the price point, breakfast is okay, kids are free with one adult, which for us (2+2) made it worth it. Service is professional. Easy parking.
The hotel is excellent, we had a room with a large double bed and a sofa bed, everything you need in the bathroom. There is a bus stop nearby that leads to the metro, it is quick to get to the center. There are also plenty of shops in the area. We are very satisfied.
I am well traveled and stayed in many hotels around the world, but this one amused me. The bathroom is tiny, and I had to back into the shower and dry myself in the door between the bedroom and bathroom. A joke, at best. My camper has a larger sink than what was provided, considering we were in one of the larger rooms. One would think that the designer would have put a few more square feet into the...
I was very satisfied, the rooms are very clean.
The bathroom is small but nice.
Lots of choice at breakfast:
Toast, black bread, several types of bread, cold cuts, cheese, etc.
Fresh fruit salad and good coffee. The staff was very nice. You can tell that I can only recommend this hotel.
The staff
Everything was perfect. The rooms are small but very confortable and clean. The hosts are really friendly and efficient. Also breakfast is included. Thank you!
My girlfriend and I stayed here overnight during our road trip after Scandinavia.
This is not a top neighborhood as booking.com makes it seem, but it is certainly not a bad neighborhood. It is next to a gas station which is actually also a small supermarket. There is also a Burger King.

As a solo professional woman in her 50’s, it was my first time to Germany and I need not have worried or been so anxious about it. I reviewed about 15 hotels in Hamburg for my pre-cruise stay but was led to the Hotel St. Louis Jacob and was really glad I did. It’s the small things that makes a stay feel luxury and after being around the world, I loved the welcome card from Judith the GM. The hotel...
We stayed at this charming hotel at the beginning of February 2025. The neighborhood of the hotel is not like in a 1.8 million city, but you feel like in a nice village. The furnishings of the hotel are of a high standard. The staff in particular contribute greatly to the feel-good factor in this hotel. The breakfast buffet is lovingly prepared and very good products are offered. A positve place.
An excellent hotel on the banks of the Elbe. Luxurious rooms and comfortable, inviting communal areas. Friendly, efficient service throughout. There’s a car park, multiple buses stop outside or it’s a short walk to the ferry stop for Airbus or the centre of Hamburg.
No AC in the room!
Everything else was pretty good.
About a week before my stay, the hotel let me know of issues with the Ballsaal suite which led to a change of suites. My point of contact, Alexandra, was very professional, responsive and considerate, easily resolving my concerns. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite with a river view.
Both the suite and the hotel were beautiful and well-maintained, reflecting five-star...
Arrived late to the hotel but just managed to spend a some pleasant time in the sun at the terrace overlooking the Elbe. Very Disoriented Reception.. Don't ever think i waited that long for a room before. And our keycard suddenly didn't work, and we had to go get a new one. But room was very much ok, and the breakfast was also very good.
Had a very bad experience with the driver from the airport, he is a african looking person, we were told he would come after 15 min. he arrived 30 min, after. we would like to drive to the hotel to pick up our car, but he wanted to pick up other guests, we waited and waited, an only because we pressed him he ende up drivin after 1 hour, we arrived at the hotel 1,5 hour after landing. we often stay at this hotel, before or after flying out or in of Hamburg. Our car can stay there, and there is an excellent shuttle bus service, and also we both like the restaurant and the bar, and there is only a short walk to a small town also with restaurants and shops.
We booked the Sleep, Park, Fly package where you get a nights stay, parking while flying on vacation from Hamburg Airport and shuttle service to and from the airport. Everything was as expected and it was very nice not having to worry about transportation and parking when going to and from the airport. Very relaxing.
Room OK, cleanliness OK, Breakfast was great, but very long waiting times at the reception. You have a question and wait, wait, wait...and you wait. The resolution on the guest clearly takes too long! The in-house Parking is a joke, there's a Bobby car can fit a maximum of. Staff friendly. Directly to the motorway, the noise is unbearable.

I stayed here with my family and had a really good and comfortable experience. The hotel is well-located and family-friendly, with clean rooms and a peaceful atmosphere.
What made our stay even better was the warm welcome we received from Olaf/Olav — he was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. He assisted us with parking and made us feel at home right from the start. I’m genuinely thankful...
Staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel wasn’t far from central.
The walls were thin and sometimes the voices of the people in the next room were loud.
Budget hotel
The location is nice. The front desk staff could be more responsive and warmer and reply to emails from guest which are sent month before and left unanswered and ignored.
The area is safe for its proximity to the central station. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The room facilities were old and the details were dirty, which was disappointing.

Very comfortable boutique hotel, well situated for the town centre. Excellent breakfast and bedroom and bathroom a good size and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful with good English. We will always try to stay here when in Hamburg.
You have very good staff who showed a lot of care and understanding. My room was 5 star.
Very pleased with the stay.
Only downside was the locality, which had too much grafitee on buildings and it was too far away from city centre.

My wife and I just spent a wonderful weekend in Hamburg: the Boston is an excellent hotel in terms of quality and price: modern and super large design rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Definitely recommended!
My partner and I booked this hotel because the location was fairly central in Hamburg and it is a dog friendly hotel as we took our dogs. The hotel is very well located, easily accessible, and in a quiet neighborhood. There are many shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby, and the bus and train stations are a 5-minute walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, nice, modern, and warm. Great service!
The stay was very excellent, we liked it a lot and the best of all is its location, very comfortable and cheap.
The subway station is just right in front of the hotel. The location of the hotel was very in good right in the Wansbek Mrkt area. Easy to go around and get food and shops. The staff were all very nice and great. The amenities are all good. The room were great! We enjoyed our stay here.
The service is normal and good. The room is suitable for friends and couples to stay, but it should be noted that the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor. If the room is on the 4th floor, you need to go up the stairs to get there, which is not very convenient for those with heavy luggage.
The room doesn't have air conditioning, but it's ok at night, just a bit stuffy. The water pressure in the shower is very strong, but there is no toothbrush, toothpaste or slippers.
Good to have free drinks, with a variety from juice, soft drinks, wine and beer. But a bad fact is that it may be physically demanding if living on 4th floor because there is no lift when carrying a big luggage

Very good hotel with a nearby subway station and a great breakfast.
Value for money. Spacious rooms. Close to bus (1 min.) and metro station (6 min.).
A handy basic hotel if you want to visit Hamburg. Parking 12 euro per night, plenty of space. No EV charger in the parking, front desk states, search on google yourself!
An old-school hotel, everything was tidy and uncomplicated. I enjoyed my stay.
Clean and good service. There are amenities within the hotel
Hotel staff was wonderful.
Breakfast was well presented and tasty.
We stayed 11 nights so got know the area. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
The bad it is located at a highway off/on ramp. That meant 24 hours each day of noise.
When the windows were closed it was quiet. We stayed in July and no air conditioning meant the windows were open.
I would gladly return just not in the summer

Lovely hotel with an interesting background. Room and bathroom very nice, modern and clean.

One-star hotel, Hamburg hotel price is high, there are bunk beds, good for a family of three
Being very honest, the rooms make it to the name, they are very budget with the bare bare minimum.
But, it was ok. No major complaints.
Location is good but be careful at night, there are many homeless people in this area.
Overall I’m satisfied with my stay but I think next time I will spend a little more to have a more comfortable room…
The hotel is relatively close to Hamburg Central Station, but still requires about a 15-minute walk — not ideal if you’re carrying heavy luggage. The room was quite small, and unfortunately, it didn’t feel very comfortable during my stay.

The hotel was really gut for the amount of money that was spent! Ist provided a very filling breakfast and the rooms were big enough for a family of three! We were pleasantly surprised by this place , it was a last minute decision! The bed was big and the showers were clean!
Greatest location. Room spotlessly clean. For the money good value. Staff were very friendly and super helpful in every way. Slight gripe was air con wasn’t quite able to cope with the 37 degree heat but heat was extreme and it did work. For a budget hotel you cannot go wrong. Easy check in and got me in a room at 10.30am! Fairly basic, the clue is in the name, but brand new and clean as a hospital. Very limited breakfast, and had to ask for an iron at the reception. Also reception often not staffed, but very comfy beds, very good shower. Great for the money
Good in the 1 stars.
Clean and breakfast is better than 1 stars.
For a budget hotel, theres literally nothing more you could want. The rooms are clean and have plenty of power ports all over the room.
