AMERON Munchen Motorworld

This hotel is a classic case of overselling on the website and under delivering online. Funnily enough, we were concerned about the travel to the city centre and that turned out to be not a problem at all. But the hotel itself is average at best, from the staff, to the rooms also and we were disappointed. For example, reaching them on the phone was absolutely frustrating, I had to call so many times to get anyone to pick up. None of my emails were answered until I finally got through to someone and asked them to reply. The front desk staff seem unbothered and low on customer service (communication and service). We decided to have a sauna one evening which is quite a walk from the room, and there are no bottles of water, just a jug of water with lemon in the gym for everyone to utilize., that seems to have been there for a very long time. The rooms are not like they appear on the web site, they are really very basic, and the cleaning staff also did an average job. At best. I wouldnt stay in this hotel again, and i think for the price they are charging, there is better options

+ You would only book this hotel because of it's unique location inside the Motorworld museum. The hotel rooms are fine, but the service was a let down. It was hard to get ahold of them before my stay, confusion with billing on their side (double billed me), and a general lack of quality people working the front desk. The bathroom was dirty. The bed was 2 singles pushed together, old box springs which were not comfortable. I was expecting a bit better in comfort for the cost. However, the location is superb and I would go again despite the issues simply for on site access to Motorworld. As a guest you can wander the museum 24/7, which helps if you have jet lag and want to see a Bugatti at 3am.
- Confusion at the front desk about what came with my room, then double billing after I checked out, with multiple odd charges, which required me to contact them to fix it...reimbursement is still pending 10 days later.
