The hotel is clean but extremely old. A lot of safety concerns since many things are falling apart . I guess the resort will be much nicer once they complete renovations.
The drink selection is terrible so I suggest you bring your own liquor because it’s all cheap here and no real fruit juices. I was extremely disappointed being in a Caribbean island and not having real fruit juices. The soda tastes old, flat and diet. I basically drank water the entire week because there is nothing worthy of drinking.
There is NO disco despite what the website says. There’s entertainment in the theatre at 9:30pm but after there there’s Absolutely nothing going on and barely any music. It’s boring. They basically played the same 4 songs on repeat. At the very least they could play more music and have a lively atmosphere
They should keep the snack bar by the beach / pool open after the buffet closes to have more options to eat especially after drinking.
There seems to be no designated area for smoking and everyone just lights up anywhere all day long. Even with children around. The beach is beautiful however you get harassed every minute to buy things. Can’t even sit in peace.
All around this place is OK but it needs a lot of work and definitely is for the elderly
Also in the hotel not all the staff spoke English, what really surprised me, and I am really curious what foreign language do they have to learn at school. As I come from Eastern Europe, and in all our schools and in the western Europe too they all learn English as a foreign language.
The majority of the guests in this hotel came from Spanish speaking countries.
ongoing issue for many years now. I also woke up to multiple bug bites daily. They have many good employees, I do not fault them for managements failure to address the air conditioner problem. The entertainment crew and nightly entertainment acts did a fantastic job.
The air conditioning in room loud, hardly copes to get the temperature down; without ventilator on, impossible to be in the room. They should serve cocktails and beer in glasses, not that awful plastic ones. We tipped cleaning Lady every two day because she was polite and cleaned well. Some employees were not very friendly, five years ago staff was much better. We would like to come and see some renovations, I do not think that old things are bad just new things are good. For the first time we had digestive problems, the whole family. Staff needs some lessons in how to treat guests. If you have an oldtimer you can take care of it and it is in great shape or you can let it go and it becomes a wreck. Hope the owners read the reviews
