We had the most amazing family holiday at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna, made even more special by the incredible staff who went above and beyond for us.
A huge shoutout to the room cleaner for room 1137 – his towel animals were absolute masterpieces and brought big smiles to our kids every day. His attention to detail was second to none!
In the dinner hall, Seyd was fantastic – always attentive, friendly, and quick to help. Special mention to Omar, the young man cleaning the hall – such a polite and hardworking lad who always had a smile on his face.
There truly is something for everyone of all age groups at this resort. There are small and medium slides perfect for younger kids, while the aqua park is brilliant fun for adults and older children. The entertainment is enjoyable and well organised, and there are also two great kids’ parks where little ones can run around and have fun.
Rajab at the diving centre was excellent – professional, knowledgeable, and made the experience both safe and exciting. Over at the Columbus Bar, Zakira Ibrahim impressed us daily with his beautiful coffee patterns – a true artist! At the sports bar, Mahmood worked so hard every night on his own, serving fantastic drinks with a smile – the kids loved the whole atmosphere thanks to him.
The massage team were also top-tier – Waheel gave an outstanding sports massage, and the whole team were so kind and patient with the kids, which really added to our relaxation.
Special thanks to Ahmed, the manager, for arranging a complimentary late check-out – such a generous gesture that made a big difference to our departure day. And a big shoutout to Ayman at reception, who was friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist.
This resort is beautiful and well-maintained, but it’s the staff who truly make it exceptional. We can’t wait to return!
Only issue was Essra from the Spa. She mis sold to me amd my family...i paid for a facial, manicure, pedicure, hair cut for me and my boys, head and shoulder massage. She promised that all of this will be included for my whole family and agreed a price. When we turned up she only gave a hair cut for my boys, missed the head and shoulder massage. Also Waheel (not the massage one but the one who does the hairtcuts etc.) who did my treatment was the most miserable person I have met in a long time. The facilities were dirty and not well maintained. We didnt complain but instead wrote it in this review. We met Esra a few times after that and she completely ignored us and didn't even say hello. She is a crafty person and we feel she really let's the resport down. On the upside, everyone else was amazing and the resort is actually quite good. I would have given this 10 but Esra let it down.
Activities are provided from morning to night with great enthusiasm by the entertainment team. They do everything to put a smile on your face.
As for the meals, there's more than enough choice to enjoy a delicious meal every day.
A downside might be the fact that all the restaurants are intertwined, which makes it quite busy.
But after a quick look around, I found a quiet spot, and the staff that treats you like a royalty, making you quickly forget all about it.
I highly recommend it.
However, the food in the restaurants was the same every single day. It was cooked well but the choice was terrible.
The snack bar was open most of the day but it was the same food choice everyday.
There was no snacks like ice cream or crisps available for the children during the day at the pool bar.
The food in the main restaurants was the same everyday for breakfast dinner and tea. Speaking of breakfast who wants mash potato for breakfast.
The menu needs to be on a one week rotation of different themes/ meals.
Never have i been on an all inclusive holiday where I've had to pay to go out and eat as my children got bored of the food and wouldn't eat it.
All in all an enjoyable holiday let down by food availability and choice
The pool was amazing was always nice to go in especially with the hot weather we had. The sun bed area was always easy to get a bed in the mornings for the day which helped us settle in the daytime.
The food choice was always great throughout the day with plenty to choose from to get you through the day and the evening.
The room was a great size with the beds being comfortable with a brilliant view from the balcony of the pool outside.
The entertainment team was great during my time here and were always willing to have a chat and a laugh with me. I'd give a big mention to Kara who was amazing with her always having a smile on her face and making the mood feel good even if I had a bad day. Our last night she invited me and my best friend to the Hard rock cafe and it was an amazing time.
Definitely will look to come back to this hotel in future, thank you everyone for making my stay a memorable one.
