I really enjoyed this holiday, the animation team was great. One of this things that stood out the most was how amazing the bar staff was at the beach bar especially osama, every time I’d turn up to the beach bar he would have a drink on the table ready. He constantly making cocktails for my family and interacting with all of us. all in all a decent hotel and I’ll definitely be coming back.

We spent Last week in this hotel - family with 11 years old kid and had a great time. Hotel is clean, all crew is helpful and nice. We specialy thank Osama from the beach bar who told us about the Egypt and served the best drinks. The food is ok, no one got sick. Near the hotel there is a reaf, nice views. Only thing we didn’t like was that there was a lot of arabic families with many kids who were realy laud and noisy.

Great family holiday at the Royal Moderna. We chose this hotel as we stayed at Jungle Aqua Park in Hurgarda last year and loved it, so wanted to try another Pickalbatros hotel. We were not disappointed. Our room was lovely and kept beautifully clean, our cleaner would make different towel animals each day; which my son loved. We would try to guess what the next animal would be before opening the door. The restaurants offered a good selection, even the pickiest member of our group found plenty to eat. They are all close together so you can choose food from any of the restaurants and take it back to your table; your not restricted to eating from the restaurant where you are seated. The pools are great. Splash pool options for the little ones and quieter, roped off sections (deep end) for adults who don’t want to be splashed. We got to the pool between 9 and 10 every day and always got sun beds. The water slides are located a short walk away from the pools, we really enjoyed them and the lifeguards were very diligent at ensuring everyone was safe. Snorkelling off the jetty is amazing, with shallow and deep options for different ages and confidence levels. The Reef at the very end is stunning and has a lifeguard keeping an eye on people in the water. Evening entertainment was a mix. Loved the fire show and the acrobatic show. Dancers were good. The only negative point I can think of is that some of the music played around the pool during the day contained a lot of swearing, which we didn’t expect around the family pools. I think it’s probably a language issue. Staff were great, service wonderful. We would go back.

Hotel is very welcoming staff all so attentive our family room was a great size very clean comfy beds all toiletries provided restaurant & bars all friendly staff the coffee bar amazing staff in there as this runs 24 hours always spotless an served with a smile. Reception staff always happy to help. Security where amazing especially when I lost my phone. Great value for money Food amazing Amination team amazing with our 10 year old son Harry the new English girl kara has picked up her job role so fast an is an asset to the team. Overall we nothing negative to say just we will see you in November for our 3rd stay

We went for a last minute week of winter sun, and with reasonable expectations which were mostly exceeded. We asked for a quiet room and we got one, it was spacious and clean but the location at the back of the resort also meant that we had to walk lots to get everywhere - we did not mind this in the slightest though. We found the food great and well seasoned - you get a choice of 3 restaurants for breakfast / lunch and further 2 for dinner and they all serve something a bit different so worth walking round them all to see what's on offer. We enjoyed Tagine best for African food, and also Culina for dinner for fish and seafood but generally the food was very tasty! Restaurants can get busy for dinner so either go super early when they start serving or wait about an hour or so for majority of the people to leave. Food was served in one place or another from 7AM until midnight. Drinks - very basic as most reviews say. We would stick to beer or rum and coke/gin and tonic or a glass of wine for dinner. If you want fancy cocktails, pay more for a fancier hotel, simple as that. The staff work super hard everywhere and well deserve a tip. We found everyone very helpful, and the waiters remember what you drink and would bring you drinks round on the beach and the pool should you so wish. We liked beach bar the best and the bartender Maged Salah there took very good care of us :) The snorkelling at the end of the pier was good, sadly when we were there it was windy and we had red flag most of the time so couldn't do as much snorkelling as we wanted, nobody to blame here but the unpredictable weather gods. However on windy days I was able to get a good swim in one of the bigger non heated pools and we spent most of our time around the activity pool which was heated and very pleasant even in winter season. The entertainment team did their best, however ask them for activity schedule as it's different times from the schedule that you can find around the hotel. DJ was very good and the overall pool vibe was fun but without people getting too drunk/loud. Majority of the guests were Russian speaking, we actually found them a lot more polite than our fellow UK guests usually are so unsure what the complaints are! The entertainment was a bit of a hit and miss, some shows were wery good and it was usually done in both English and Russian to cater to majority of the guests. Overall we had such a pleasant holiday , thank you for all the staff to make our week so relaxing!

I cannot express how happy I am with my stay at Pickalbatros Royal Moderna Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. The level of effort and dedication put in by the entire team is truly remarkable. I would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Bassem and Mr. Mohamed Samy for their warm welcome, flexibility, and professionalism. They were always ready to answer my questions and ensured I got my rooms promptly for maximum comfort. Additionally, I’d like to thank Ramadan Ali from room service for his dedication, kindness, and for keeping my room spotless and comfortable every single day. This resort exceeded all my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway. I’m already looking forward to returning very soon

A wonderful hotel for the price. The food is very tasty and varied. Large and well-maintained grounds, with the sea right nearby. The service staff are very friendly and polite, especially Miss Elena. Probably the only thing missing is that the hotel does not have a wheelchair my husband injured his leg, and since there is a lot of walking involved, it would be very convenient. Everything else is truly flawless!

The hotel is dated, requires being brought up to modern standard. The best part of the hotel is the staff who work incredible hard, cleaning and making sure you have a good time. Too much buffet food and not enough restaurants. Swimming pools are lined not tiled meaning that the base is uneven. Constant issues with room keys needing changed This is not a five star hotel

The staff are a credit to this hotel. They make the whole experience fun, relaxing and safe. It’s clean and well kept. Most rooms are equipped well with everything you need. Could do with more English programs on the TV and WiFi in all areas would be nice. The entertainment could be better, but I was there for a relaxing week, which I got in abundance. I had such a great time and came back refreshed and happy. Can’t wait to go back.
