Reviews
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sea Life Resort, and it was truly a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special. The check-in process was seamless, and we were immediately impressed by the stunning views and luxurious ambiance.
The resort’s facilities are top-notch! Whether it was relaxing by the pristine pool, enjoying the private beach, or indulging in the spa, every experience was exceptional. The dining options were equally amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes, each prepared with the finest ingredients and served with a smile.
Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with every modern convenience you could imagine. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and the breathtaking sunrise was an experience I’ll never forget.
What sets this resort apart is the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality of the staff. They anticipated our needs and made our stay truly unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind, recharge, and indulge in pure luxury, look no further than Sea Life Resort. We can’t wait to return!
We would like to extend special thanks to Adly at the Front Desk and Mahmoud from Housekeeping. We stayed in room 0308 and greatly appreciated their efforts.
Thank you for a fantastic vacation and unforgettable memories!
The snorkeling area is restricted to a very small, approximately 50-meter stretch. With the high volume of tourists in this tiny zone, the experience felt overcrowded. It was disheartening to see more humans than fish, and it’s clear the reef is suffering from the strain. I visited last year, and while it’s still beautiful, there are now noticeable signs of degradation—bleached and dead coral near the surface. Outside the restricted area, the reef still thrives, but guests are prohibited from exploring there. I understand there are concerns about currents, but responsible swimmers should be allowed to explore beyond the rope with care and personal responsibility. Limiting everyone to this small space isn’t only ecologically harmful, but it also reduces the chance to fully enjoy the reef.
Moreover, the beach was closed each morning until 1:00 PM due to wind and waves, even though conditions were mild, around 15 knots with minimal waves. This restriction unnecessarily limits the already short time to experience the marine life.
I was also disappointed to find no reef-friendly sunscreen available in the hotel store. This should be a basic requirement in a location dedicated to preserving its natural beauty.
In summary, while the hotel is perfect for those looking for a comfortable stay with great food, it’s a letdown for marine life enthusiasts. The over-regulation, lack of ecological respect, and restriction of reef-friendly products show a lack of commitment to preserving what should be the main attraction. I left disappointed and likely won’t return.
I recently stayed at Lea Hotel, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel is poorly managed and does not prioritize its guests.
*** The room service was abysmal. The cleanliness of the room was well below acceptable standards—practically non-existent. The bed sheets were dirty, and the entire room felt unkempt and neglected. This is simply unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that charges guests for their stay.
***The air conditioning unit in the room was outdated and barely functional. It was extremely uncomfortable, especially during the night, and made for a very unpleasant stay.
***The staff at the reception were extremely unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. Throughout my stay, I found all the hotel employees to be uncooperative and exploitative. They seemed more interested in taking advantage of guests than providing any semblance of service.
**Overall Experience:**
Lea Hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you value cleanliness, professionalism, and a positive experience. This was by far one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had
The hotel is advertised as a 5☆ it's definitely not. The rooms are tired and definitely in need of updating, especially the bathrooms, shower is awful and powerless. I will include photos of what our 5☆ bathroom looked like. Limted plug sockets and only work sometimes. The fridge in the room struggles to stay cold which is a worry when having to keep insulin in it. Although the rooms are supposedly cleaned every day I feel the it's a surface clean as the headboard is thick with dust and I won't comment on the bathroom.
We paid extra to have a sea view and don't get me wrong the view is beautiful, the grounds are very well maintained. But little did we know that for two evenings a week there is a beach disco(chargeable) until gone midnight. It is very loud so sitting on the balcony listening to the sea and taking in the peacefulness is a no chance. Even sitting in your room the music is deafening. Difficult when thrying to get our 3 year old to sleep. There seems to be a lot of hidden extras that you need to pay for, including the water park on site. Drinks are very limited and little choice which is soft drinks, 1 lager, Rum, gin or vodka only, everything else is chargeable. There seems to be only one pool in our part of the hotel which is very loud, I don't mind music round the pool but this is another level. Whilst relaxing round the pool there seems to be a constant flow of staff trying to sell you things, this is often expected but its constant even after politely declining a few times, you'd think they get the hint. It's worth walking over to the other hotels on site to try out thier pools.
The Internet is advertised as being available across the hotel including your rooms, this is very sporadic as it struggles to connect and becomes even worse in the evening.
After speaking to another family they explained this was their second visit to Sharm and last year they stayed in the 5☆hotel Cleopatra which apparently is amazing and lives up to the rating. Staff all seem to work very hard, there are a lot of life guards and strictly on the ball, which is great. The entertainment and pool staff all work long hours and vvery cheerful but reception staff, where they are meant to be the hotels best examples of staff are very rude and could do with renewing their customer service training. The food is not the best and tends to be repetitive. I will say their puddings/sweet treats are very nice.
We were fortunate to be able to book some of the restaurants, you are limited to 2 per week if you can get in. We did Japanese, Lebanese and French, the food, service and atmosphere was great and definitely made a welcome change to the hustle and bustle of the food hall. One thing is guaranteed is the weather.
The alcoholic drinks are flavours/syrups. No alcohol taste and very weak. Not our expectations and very disappointing. The beer was like non alcoholic too. Cocktails not much choice and more like a mocktail.
The pool attendant- he was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Very happy and smiley every day.(Hassan) always found us a sun bed and laid out our towels.
Also a man called Mohamad - hospitality staff… he was absolutely amazing and remembered our drinks and brought them over every time we sat down for each meal in the main restaurant.
The grounds and the staff were immaculate and always greeted us. The iron was terrible and not very up to date.
It’s a pity most of the staff weren’t the same. The food was ok… not much choice and we were careful what we ate. Overall, the weather was very hot and we had a relaxing holiday. Evening entertainment was average. Staff were nice. Also, you had to pay for premium drinks. The bar manager and another were happy to rectify issues we had.
