Hotel with beautiful green grounds and panoramic views of the sea, reminiscent of a traditional Cretan village. A variety of evening entertainment for an additional fee. Recommend for a relaxing family holiday and a romantic holiday for two. Guests with limited mobility and families with young children need to take into account that the hotel is on the hill and to the beach leads downhill.

The hotel is decorated in traditional Cretan style. Consists of one building and separate bungalows.
The hotel has 164 rooms.

Beach: public sandy-pebble (400 m away), 3 line. The entrance to the sea: partly rocky. Shuttle bus to the beach: free (3 times a day). On the beach umbrellas, sun beds: free. Beach towels: no. At the pool umbrellas, sun beds: free of charge.

The hotel was a huge disappointment. The rooms are old and extremely small. Nothing matched the photos or the description. The pool is nice, but like the rest of the hotel, it is outdated. It ruined our vacation, and spending time there wasn’t worth it. The food wasn't exactly tasty, and it was the same every day. The drink selection was good, in our opinion. The only thing we were satisfied with was the room service. The lady was very nice, and our room was beautifully cleaned every day.

Clean sometimes, food is far from delicious. Definetely not a 4 star hotel. but the view is stunning. and have to mention that the guys in the bar, Ricciardo and Dimitri are fantastic. very friendly, welcoming fun and professional. they make our stay bareable. thank you guys xoxo

Overall it was a nice hotel, for the price it is really good, I’ve seen lots of negative reviews, but I don’t really get it, no hotel is “perfect”… i felt like the staff were trying their best, which was nice. The hotel has its own little shop near the bar, there’s 2 pools, a nice view and on some days there’s live singers who perform and make it all pretty romantic. Nothing serious there to complain about from me, the cleaning staff were nice and I got to know them pretty well. Though I must say that the beach is a hill walk down, it was okay for me but if you’re not so sporty or have health issues or are simply a little older I’d recommend you to take a taxi to the beach n back or rent a car. (Renting a car is what I recommend a lot, there’s a really beautiful places in Crete, and near this hotel :)

Check in lacked. Think I was catching them at the end of a tough day. No run down of hotel, no book in room with info. We stayed 5 nights and only asked for our room to be cleaned once, and we were left with one body towel that I'd used for several days still hanging on chair and no other towels, bed was stripped with bottom sheet replaced and the rest folded on top for us to finish making. This really wasn't a big deal.. it just made us chuckle. The hotel has a gorgeous view and picturesque cottages. The food was very good. Very cruise ship like. We had to fight mosquitos a few nights in our room. I'd suggest closing up all windows from the start. The windows tilt out and it's beautiful weather so when we arrived they were all tilted open. The people working the dinning hall and bar are absolutely amazing. They are so gracious and keep everyone smiling and having fun.

We arrived together with the little son, the view is stunning. kind service. A two-year-old boy did not have so many attractions. Unfortunately the food and alcohol to our taste is average level or below. But we had a great time.

Really a great place with a great vue on a bay. Good restauration and great bar with a Really very very good team spécial thanks to Dimitri and is Team !!! Big up to the bar's team. 👍💪
Near from beaches about 10mn walking that's a good place but you have to get a car to discover Crete Island its a very large island .. not far from hotel theres a lots of cars rentals.

Herssonissos Village is a beautiful place with great views and cozy rooms. The bar is fantastic, thanks to bartenders Ricardo and Dimitris. Both of them make amazing cocktails, and they are warm and friendly. Their excellent service made my stay even better. Definitely will come back!

I was here for a week. I'm so happy, room nice clean and big. Friendly staff, nice food(but the chefs have to learn to coock rice because every time undercooked, and the soup every time very salty.) the view very nice. Beaches very close 8 minutes by walk.

This is not a 4 star hotel and some of the rooms are 2 star at most.
The rooms we received were very bad shape, they do not look at all as the rooms on hotel website. The furniture is very old, broken and scratched, bathroom appliances are green and moldy, door knobs are rusty, the windows were stained and the insect net and sunshades were broken and did not close. Air conditioning was not working properly, we asked to be fixed and they did fix it but then it was constantly dripping water and had to keep a towel on the floor for the entire stay.
Overall the room was in terrible shape and we asked in reception to have it changed. They told us the hotel was full and only after three days offered us an alternative but we considered was already too late to worth moving our belongings.
The restaurant and pool area are to small for hotel size but the personnel is nice and they do their best to feel guest welcomed. The food is good and the scenery and view is indeed spectacular.
Still I feel hotel management should be fair and inform the guests about different room standards and not sell a miserable room as a 4 star.
