Upon arrival at 3 in the morning, we were given our keys and the man at check in let us enter the dining room to eat after our tiresome flight. In the morning, we woke up and realised our view was blocked by a very large, overlooking tree. We spoke with our Tui rep who was very helpful and managed to get us a sea view room which is what we had paid extra for. For the best part of our stay, the relax pool was attended by a very angry blond - haired lady. Hour by hour, day by day, she would constantly turn children away despite them having made no noise in the pool. On one occasion, she turned away a baby and told the mother to take it to the children's pool even tho it wasn't making any noise or causing bother to any other guests who clearly didn't mind their presence. Every time a child came, she would tell them to leave. On our last day, the pool was now attended by a man. Many children making noise and splashing (which nobody minded) were not being told off which supports the fact that the woman was clearly too strict. Other staff throughout the resort such as drivers and cleaning staff were attentive and hard at work. The map located on the arcade wall states there is a fish spar and when I inquired at reception about it, I was told they didn't have one. Our room was also full of spiders, ants and mosquitoes that bit us during the night. We were forced to use a towl to kill them. The toilet matt was also dirty and the bath had chips and marks. I also find it bizarre that there is an extra fee if you want to keep your room past 11am which is the time one must vacate their room by. The food, which was rather bland, is clearly set up for tourism and a British target audience. Having OCD, I find it disgusting when I see children putting food on their plates then changing their minds and putting it back. They also don't use the provided serving spoons. Also, it's rather off-putting to see a grown man with his bare feet and legs out on another chair.

Rooms are dated but practical. Also food was a downside. I was expecting local cuisine. However the location was absolutely fantastic. Also big shouts for staff especially cleaners as they were always happy and welcoming. The kids really enjoyed the water park. Would recommend

Just returned from a 10 day stay here and what a fantastic hotel,the rooms(ours anyway,526) were in a cottage style ,simply furnished but with a/c,fridge and a decent shower and comfy bed and a sea view that looked out over the town of Hersonnisos and beyond.
Didn't spend much time here in the evenings,they could do with some entertainment around the bar area,although I gather there is nightly kid based entertainment,
There are 4 pools to choose from,we spent most of our time around the relax pool,the one afternoon we spent by the main pool you were deafened by the music,poor quality pop covers,there never likely to be music played to my taste but it could be better than this,also so loud it was distorted,that said there were a good range of activities,water polo etc
The hotel provide a shuttle bus throughout the day to and from nearby Star beach although you are in no obligation to go in there (we didn't), it's handy to save a late night walk back up the hill
All in all I would highly recommend staying here ,it has something for everyone

This place is great! It’s all wheelchair accessible but some of the pathways to some of the rooms are fairly steep and could pose difficulties in pushing. As for the ants, yeah there’s a few knocking about but nothing to get worried about, I’d see the odd one in the room but theirs lots of nice gardens around the rooms so I can understand this. The staff were all super. Never had one issue at all with any of them. In fact they went above and beyond.
The selection of drinks was good as was the food, lots to choose from plus their were more simple foods for the kids. Snacks and ice cream in the afternoon too!
The pools were spot on, they had water sports in the main pool hosted by the hotel reps, plus the top pool with the slides was awesome which also has a lifeguard who was always on the ball!
The hotel was a 15 minute walk to the main town area, the hotel offered a free coach there and back every hour which we used a few times to check out the local shops.
The hotel does have its own shop buts it’s a bit expensive so best to nip into the town.
The entertainment was good. They had shows each night plus the kids club all which was in the theatre. They had arcade machines, a gym and a yoga room.
Overall I was a bit apprehensive about the place after reading some of the reviews as they’re very mixed but I would recommend it to anyone wanting a decent holiday. It’s a well kept tidy hotel.

Great for families.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great variation of food .
Had a couple of maintenance issues with room but they sorted it within half an hour .
My biggest let down is the alcoholic beverages . Even though they tasted good sadly the alcohol content was pretty low which according to a trip advisor reply from the resort was it is in compliance with Greek govt rules for all inclusive.
Our apartment was in the number 900s which is at the top of a steep hill . However a golf cart style buggy will take you up the hill if you ask at reception.
Entertainment was great for kids under 10 years old . Adult entertainment was a bit bland as young children were always present despite the entertainment starting at 9.15pm.
There's a free shuttle bus that runs from the hotel to Star Beach regularly .

we came to our room the first day and the first room looked like a 1920s room. the twin beds were hard and slept badly, the double was generally soft and comfortable… The two blankets smelled unpleasant. The rooms did not look like the sample of the hotel from the internet. It disappointed me a lot and humiliated me. It's not absolutely the same in the photos from the internet !! 😁 The food was delicious and friendly service. 3 / 5⭐️

Got back last night and we are missing the place already. We had a wonderful week at the Village Resort. Everything was wonderful and the staff are great. Special mention to Katastrofa and the lady behind the bar, made our stay even better. The bar lady is such an asset and so friendly and a great sense of humour. The animation team, esp Katastrofa are brilliant, so much enthusiasm and fun! The food is also good and what you would expect. Rooms are clean and air con worked perfectly. If you go you must attend the shows in the evening, hilarious, laughed so much! Daily water polo and games which the kids loved. Now to detox 😜

Not great food options, pretty sure we had bed bugs hiw m7ch my wife & I were bitten. Turned up on Day one to he served stone cold fries. Not great in my opinion!
