Where to stay with pets in Rethymno

Rooms were really nice with welcome gifts even for kids too. The service was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far from town and airport. The experience here was wonderful and very inclusive

The hotel itself was just as impressive—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Everything we needed was taken care of, and the atmosphere throughout our stay was peaceful and relaxing

I had a truly wonderful stay at the Greto Palace Hotel! From the moment we arrived—quite late in the evening—we were warmly welcomed by Nasia, whose hospitality made all the difference

Everything in the hotel is very clean and well maintained and the room quality was 1st rate. One minor issue in the maisonette is the very small wardrobe in the upstairs bedroom a small set of drawers would help

The only drawback is that the gym is tiny and can only accommodate three people at a time, so if you are a regular user, you'll need to book slots ahead of time

Lovely property with a private beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes in Reythmno town. Everything is superbly clean and comfortable

Staff are very helpful and friendly - they did a great job organising a day trip for us. There are three pools (two outdoor and an indoor heated one)

It was a very luxery and nice complex. The Hotel have luxe rooms, all the things works, luxe ligthing system etc. Also to have a balcony is nice. Every day the rooms are cleaned and the water and coffee cups are filled

The location is also very good, right by the sea, opposite the beach is nice, there are two swimming pools in the hotel, the children had a lot of fun playing in the water

Good location - 35 mins walk from town centre. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Well mantained swimming pool and good rooms. However, there were quite a few bits that i expect from a '5-star' property that were missing

This was by far the best hotel that we have ever stayed in. The location is excellent- a 25min walk into the old town down the beach, passing shops, cafes and restaurants

The bed was so comfy, the room cleaned everyday, and I loved my wall seat out on the balcony! I received late at night, received a complimentary lemon drink on arrival, food saved for me from dinner, and also complimentary snacks in my room

The food and the selection was of the highest quality and the restaurant was very clean and well laid out with enough space between the tables. The rooms were serviced everyday to an immaculate standard

The hotel pleasantly surprised us. Beautiful and well-maintained rooms, cleanliness. Rooms up to the 4th floor are closer to the pool, while rooms from the 5th floor and above have a better view of the sea

The staff and their manager, Mr. The hotel has its own pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a pool bar. The breakfast offers a good selection and the kitchen is trying to fulfill special wishes as well

The staff were so kind! The manager asked us multiple times if everything was alright and always wanted to talk to us. It was extremley clean, tidy and it was beautiful with marble floors everywhere

Bar meals and drinks served all day. There is a lovely little sandy beach 100 yards away offering clear sea water swims with the fishes. Oh and the breakfast gave us a great start to the day too

The hotel is in a prime position, ten minutes walk from the town. A very modern lovely hotel with spacious rooms and views to die for. There is plenty of space to sunbathe around the pool

The rooms were cleaned daily and the whole place was spotless. We ate breakfast here each morning which was varied and plentiful-fruit, yoghurt, pastries, breads, and a small hot selection

The location is amazingly close to the beach and shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, etc. The rooms decor is a little aged, but besides that are clean, big and comfortable

What a gem this hotel is!! We had a great stay for 9 nights at the hotel. It's beautifully decorated with a relaxing and cozy courtyard. The staff is so welcoming, nice and helpful. They always met us with a smile and made us feel so comfortable

The reception is open 24/7 and they were so helpful with everything from booking tours, parking in the local area to checking out at latest possible, as we had a late flight home

They all seem to be provided with a big balcony, which we loved! and the rooftop pool and bar is a perfect alternative when you have had enough of swimming at the beach (or paying for the sunchairs every day 🤭)

We thought this hotel was really nice especially for the price. Very good value! The room we had was well designed, plenty of storage and we had a large balcony overlooking the city and the pool

The breakfast was better than expected, with plenty of choice and good quality. The pool area was really nice, on the smaller side but never had issues finding a free sun bed throughout the day

We found it quite relaxing to lie around the pool. It’s in the busy area of Rethymno town, really close to the beach and about 20 min walk to old town which we went to most evenings

The food is great, every nation find it's own taste but there is local food every day too. The staff is very kind, i can only say positive things about this hotel

The hotel is in a very good place, not too far from the old city, and close enough to the beach. The room was clean and comfy, just like in the pictures

Sometimes parking was difficult especially with the one way streets, but always eventually managed to find somewhere relatively closeby

Everything is spotless, and having two pools is a big plus (though it’s a pity that loungers are often “reserved” with towels and left unused). The food is excellent with a wide selection for both breakfast and dinner

The only downside was the number of mosquitoes – not the hotel’s fault, but keep doors and windows closed and ask reception for a mosquito device. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

After that one of her colleague/the staff members took our luggage and showed us the way to our room, and I wish I knew his name but unfortunately I don’t know it and really hope someone does

There are bikes available for rent at the front (not owned by the hotel), but activation can take a while, especially if your phone number isn’t accepted

The bathroom is open-style, which might not suit everyone – as two friends traveling together, it wasn’t always convenient

Amusingly, me - as a categoric beef eater - had pretty much fun with the salads (what is rather rare usually), so vegitarians will have their fun in this hotel too

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

It was our third stay in the hotel and we really enjoyed. A special thanks to the kind Sophia serving our cappuccino every evening. The massages in the hotel spa are also very good and the spa ladies are very nice

Great for families too with a children's pool and you don't have to cross a road to access the beach. There's also a good bus service into Rethymnon and lots of bars, restaurants, and hotels in Missiria

We saw here dancing and would love to see a Salsa Show in the evening entertainment of our hotel (maybe it's possible next year ?♡) We hope Nora will be here next year again!!!

First time visit to Rethymno and The Kriti Hotel. The hotel location to the beach can not be faulted with beach free sun lounges available to residents. Restaurants and bars are also nearby

Kriti Beach is more than a resort. In front of the beach with sunbeds for the guests, is the ideal location to explore the city. Helpful and polite staff, a hotel we love to stay.

The location within the city with all the money; clean beach - those two are the hotel's greatest advantage

I have additional info for those who are inexperienced or ignorant travellers - The Venitian buildings were not built with pools or underground parking. Live with it and stop whining. You aren't back home with your mommy

No words could describe this wonderful building with is historic charm. Central to restaurants and tour operators. Originally her childhood family home, Helen now manages the property and is a delight to talk to

Melrose hotel is an excellent choice. The hotel is two minutes from the seaside promenade, beach and restaurants. At the same time, it is located in a quiet area

The location is very convinient, roughly 1km from the old town and only a block away from the beach. Hotel is extremely well-maintained and clean

The hotel is compact, but cozy. The rooms are small, but neat. The only thing missing is a playground, at least a small one. If you are looking for a quiet family vacation, I definitely recommend May Beach Hotel

The back of the hotel is like a small town full of backstreets and was great! There isn’t many sunbeds by the main pool but on the beach there are plenty of sunbeds just for the hotel with servers willing to order your drinks

My stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach House was outstanding. The staff was extremely welcoming, and looked after me during all my stay. Maria and Vassiliki that offered hospitality at the first place

Within, the hotel complex is structured like small streets, alleys and plazas which is really nice and makes it feel less like a corporate hotel. The service and staff here is exceptional

Fabulous central hotel with great staff and amenities. Everything on hand for a chilled and pleasant stay. Only negative is the rooms are not well soundproofed

The hotel is only a stone throw away from old town and a 10 min walk to the beach. Rethymnon was a mixture of lovely restaurants and a lovely old town, but nightlife there as well for those who want it

But all in all despite the interesting foods at times, there was always something to eat we enjoyed. Had an amazing time, would reccomend to anyone :)

2 minor negatives - room’s were small on the restaurant side, which I think anyone booking through jet 2 were given, secondly the breakfast was not ideal for British people but there were not a lot of brits in Rethymno (not a bad thing lol)

Overall we would stay here again in a heartbeat; the hotel reception, bathrooms and pool/ bar areas are excellent. The hotel staff are so nice as well. Rooms were cleaned every day and had great AC

The only downside to our stay was the food, we were half board, there was always a wide selection of foods but some of it was interesting

The location of the hotel is very good, the food is good (not many choices but still good), however the rooms are not the best (kinda old, the roof is damaged) and the towels comes dirty, changed every 3 days.
