Amazing place to spend your vacation. Location is very good, 2 minutes by walking away from the beach and exactly next to a supermarket. Rooms are spacious and very clean and the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

We have been back 4 times because it's a very, lovely place indeed, Manolis and Nikki are lovely and look after all your needs . It's quiet but only 5 minutes walk from tavernas and your usual holiday shops .

Back here after 3 years and it's still as wonderful. Manolis and Niki are superb hosts. The rooms are light, modern and airy. Great aircon and comfortable beds, lovely breakfast. Lots of bars and tavernas within a 5 to 10 minute walk but Evelin has a well stocked and reasonably priced bar and does daytime snacks up till 3pm. There is a Lidl across the road but you aren't aware of it when you're in...

Great place to stay. The rooms are really big and the staff is always here to help you if needed. We stayed 2 weeks in the hotel and enjoyed the pool and the bar. The location is perfect, not so far from the town but always quiet.

We were welcomed very friendly. They offered us a free update of the room type. The manager was very hospitable and gave us the best recommendations for restaurants in the town. We have just returned from Rethymno and after moving hotels (wasn't happy with our first choice) found the Kleoniki Mare. We were offered the only room available, the top floor apartment with our own private terrace. We loved it! Hotel is clean and good quality. The woman at the reception was super nice. It is a small 10 minute walk to the old town restaurant and party area, but the walk is nice and at the beach. I’m the night it is quiet and a pool and aircondition helps to cool down. Worth the money :)

Very good apartments, clean and comfortable rooms, kind and helpful staff. The pool in the backyard is really cool. As we have arrived to the accommodation, food and drinks were waiting for us in the fridge, absolutely free.

Was here 3 years ago and it was amazing unfortunately on return this year we have found the evening meal to have gone down hill rapidly , not much choice , doesn't taste of much. We are half board and seriously would not do this again as we've found it a waste of money. The place is clean and staff friendly and the facilities are good . We've had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Ideon for our holiday. Our first room had a very unpleasant smell, luckily we could transfer to another room as soon as possible. However, we had a room in the side building, rooms were pretty outdated here. The service of the staff was very pleasant, very friendly staff, especially at the front desk. Bar staff could be faster, drinks could take a while to arrive...

I stayed here for a couple of nights to explore the city before heading to a resort. The interior is beautifully designed with chic boho vibes, giving it the feel of a magazine-worthy 5-star hotel. It’s also extremely family-friendly – they provided a crib for our baby, and allowed us to check out an hour later at no extra charge to accommodate our child’s nap. Excellent service all around!

I was excited to book this hotel but.....as i write this I'm in the hotel room .... It's about four o'clock in the morning and I can not use the balcony cause the lights are insanely strong...i can not open the door not even for some fresh air.....at eleven o'clock i had asked if somehow they can dim the lights down so that i can sit and enjoy my time before i sleep...but no ....you can not enjoy...

Really great experience staying here for the last 10 days, the staff were all wonderful from reception to bar to breakfast. Our room was spacious and had a very efficient air conditioner which was vital in the hot weather. Sweet spot!!!! Pool is good, lots of chairs. Owner is so sweet. The hotel can help with everything from booking taxis to rental cars. There is elevators to every floor, but you have to change elevators along the way. The hotel is 30 minutes away on walk to the city, so it’s kinda a walk in the heat to get dinner etc.

We had a good holiday. Just some difficulties with the towel service. They only replace them once every 2/3 days, which I believe to be a little bit less in such a warm country. We asked for extra towels but this was absolutely not possible. Staff was okey.

Airbnb had cockroaches and we had to find alternative accommodation with 3 young children late at night. Rooms are pretty basic and small, but clean and cozy. Breakfast was terrific considering the size of the hotel, consisting eggs, toast, turkey, ham, fruit, yoghurt, oat, muesli, fresh juice, coffee. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here in June 24 and we had an amazing experience. Very modern and new rooms. It definitely felt more like a 4 Star Hotel as a 3 Star. Also the location of the hotel is also optimal, direct by the beach and a 20 minute walk to the city center.

Literally one of the best places we have stayed! Beach is perfect with excellent service, beautiful clean pool, gorgeous pool, delicious breakfast, excellent hostess!!!! Wish we had stayed longer.

Amazing host and so friendly, hotel is gorgeous and in great location. We loved it! The only think that our room glass surfaces in the bathroom wasn’t cleaned and the sheet was a bit dirty but they changed it other day. By the way, breakfast was the best we had in all Crete!

Booked directly with hotel after weeks of researching where to stay and wasn't disappointed. The location is excellent, only 25-30 minutes to the old town. Beach located right across the street where the hotel has beach beds. Supermarkets, restaurants, and stores nearby. Staff were lovely offering top-notch service and hospitality. Clean hotel with a nice pool, alot of sun hours at the sunbeds. Rooms are nice but nothing special. Parking and driving to city center is easy. Cabs to city center only 7 euro (one-way). Personal is to busy at the bar during lunch and happy hour. Breakfast is fine but not alot of choice. In my opinion the price of the rooms is a little high comparing to the quality you get.

Rooms are fine stayed at a studio apartment, good breakfast, good location to the sea, good swimming pool, the refrigerator was meh, the freezer in it didn't work properly, but a very pleasant experience, would visit again🤩, can't wait for the gym to be ready💪💪 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

Extremely friendly reception worker. Met us like special guests. Explained everything, and upgraded our room which was so kind, because this was our last day on Crete. We just stayed there for the last 4 days and it was wonderful. Georgios is a great host and we felt like home at Olympia. The location is perfect, 2 min by feet to the sea and to many nice restaurants. The pool and pool bar are very cozy. The beds were also very comfortable and the A/C is working perfectly, we could sleep very well with 35 degrees outside. Thank you for having us!

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel. It was very clean, tidy, well equipped. The staff are lovely and friendly, very helpful too. Many hotels are clean, nice, and safe. This one is too. But not everywhere you can meet and exceptional hotel owner. Konstantin is exceptionally friendly, polite, generous, and helpful. This is a rare case when one needs no better advise than simply to ask in the hotel. All his suggestions are excellent and genuinely for the interest of the guests. 100% recommended.

A hotel with perfect location. It's fresh and well cleaned. - Location is everything for this hotel. 0min walk to the Old Town and all that is has to offer. Around 15min walk to the big beach. Around 1h 30min with the transfer bus. With some traffic and a few hotel stops before us (we were number 4 in order) - Decent breakfast. It covers the basics and it's enough. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the staff at Fortezza made everything perfect for our stay. The free breakfast and WiFi were fantastic, the pool and sun loungers were amazing, and the location is the best; right in the middle of the old town and within walking distance of everything we needed. Just got here about 2am this morning, 1st time staying here, but we knew about this hotel as we've been to rethymno 4 times, we have a great room with sun most of the day, and till the last bit of sun at night, staff, bar and breakfast have been fabulous and we're only here 1 day 🇬🇷🌞
