BU Place Hotel in Bangkok

Best things about this hotel:

- big and clean rooms and good variety of furniture. I have checked a lot of different options and this one is great in terms of size and layout
- nice service – polite and kind staff, cleaning every day, not annoying, they will help you fast if you need assistance

Things I didn’t like:

- super poor soundproofing. I was waking up almost every day cause someone is talking in the corridor or slams a door very very loudly.
- my room was above the swimming pool, so I heard for hours almost every day SCREAMING KIDS for who were having fun in swimming pool. It was incredibly annoying and I couldn’t concentrate or relax.

Location:

- good thing it’s not far from center. I stayed 10 days there and I was looking for a long term apartment, so I needed to travel to different areas for viewings. And it was convenient. Much better than if I stayed in Air bnb which is probably far away

- bad thing about it - there is nothing around. You can’t walk out in the morning and go to a trendy cafe for breakfast or dinner or whatever. You are surrounded by roads and if you want to reach a normal place to eat your walk with be not pleasant and long (20-40 mins to nearest place).

It also affects on your food delivery cost and variety and time before you receive your food. Almost every time I was ordering food the delivery cost was really high. I don’t know why exactly but it was like this.

So, my biggest issue about this place is actually poor soundproofing, yelling kids every day and lack of walkable places to eat
