Second time at Pera and definitely the last one. One of the iconic landmarks of Istanbul. I am afraid the hotel is living too much of its name today, more than actual service. The rooms are comfortable, except for the bathroom which is structurally small. From this hotel I would have expected higher standards for the bathroom facilities but it stands on the cheap side. The breakfast staff is kind and the hotel has a good offer. The outside bar a bit less, not well organized and definitely not exclusive. It is becoming more of a touristic destination am afraid and next year I would change hotel.

The hotel is an absolute wonder to stay in! As a historic hotel, The Pera Palace has managed to keep its impeccable quality of service alive through all the years. The team delivered a truly marvellous service for us throughout our stay. Moreover, the hotel is located right in the heart of the bustling city of Istanbul and is in proximity to all tourist spots and shopping streets. Their Michelin-Star café has the best ambiance I have seen while their in-house bakery was the cutest thing to sit in. The room and suite we booked were also spacious and top-notch. And so, choosing this hotel was perhaps the best choice we made on our trip to Turkey!

Spectacular but let down by its own management. Amazing to come back after 12 years and see the refurb. Love the building. The terrace is a great location. Friendly staff try really hard but are let down by management who stand around chatting. Too few staff, food comes out cold and flabby. 20+ tables full of maybe 50 people, many visibly frustrated with lack of staff. 1 barman and 3 waiters overwhelmed. Considering the prices they should do better and their staff deserve better.

A historical hotel, just a few meters from the central shopping street in Istanbul. It's magnificent, with beautiful details: the lounge, conference room and coffee- and tearoom all deserve their distinct praise. When you're there, you do feel in another era, with class surrounding you.
The food is great, as can be expected, nd so are the facilities.
The staff is exceptionally professional, and takes care of your needs.
I can easily recommend this hotel to everybody, as it lives up to it's 5 star status. And will stay here again in the future.

This is the famous Agatha Christie hotel where it’s said she stayed and wrote Murder on the Orient Express. When you enter the hotel it’s like stepping back in time. The rooms where Agatha Christie (room 411) and Ernest Hemingway stayed are immaculate and almost unchanged since the time they stayed there. Lovely place and definitely worth a visit even if it’s just for food in the Brasserie or restaurant which are set out like it’s the 1930’s

This is not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are just basic 4 star hotel, there is no luxury anywhere, even if you get the deluxe premium room. Spacious but just a bed and a desk, nothing more to make it a luxury stay. Photos on Google are MISLEADING!!!! Also the building is old and there is a lot of traffic noise coming through the windows, even though we were on the 5th floor. The food is below average in terms of quality. It’s what you’d find at a Holiday Inn hotel. The breakfast is also very basic and not premium quality. Again what you’d find at a Holiday Inn. When it comes to the staff, not everyone speaks English, I had trouble communicating with room service over the phone and had to go down at the reception to order food. Also not the friendliest staff in terms of customer service. It’s central location but NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

+ Located near the Pera neighborhood, 5 minutes away from Galata tower, it allows also a walking tour to the golder horn thorugh the bridge. Breakfast is varied, although no pork choices. The bars and lounges are amazing and the food is Michelin start level It is old but luxury. This is one of the few legendary hotels that has preserved the look and feel of its origins Service are kind and helpful- If you are looking for a new high tech Dubai style 5 *, don't choose Pera Palace. It is a well preserved legend, they don't change the interior design every 2 years

I had extremely disappointing experience with Pera Palace Hotel. I really was admiring it's great history and planned to visit this place during my 1st visit to Istanbul. I planned to have coffee there and take a look at the place and maybe stay there for couple nights if I lime it.
When I came I found extremely rude stuff, snobbish attitude and luck of communication (from the hotel's side).
There is a line to the Cafe. When I asked waiter to explained me how it works so I could stand in a line or book a table for the next time he just ignored me. So after all I didn't have any desire to stay.
Absolutely do not recommend Pera Palace Istanbul.

I came by here simply to see the historical sight. It gives dark academia vibes and makes the customers feel like they are in an old movie.
There is this show called "Midnight at Pera Palace" that was filmed there. It was amazing to see the place in real life.
There is a restaurant/cafe functioning on the first floor too. A perfect place for a date or any other special occasion!

Beautiful hotel steeped in history. Originally constructed to host the guests of the orient express, this luxurious hotel has hosted the who's who in this part of the world, and is a favorite place of author Agatha Christie (her room can be booked too) where she wrote Murder on the Orient Express.
The hotel still has the luxury, elegance and charm of it's old times. The rooms are simple and nice with great views of the golden horn. The restaurant (named Agatha) had an excellent breakfast buffet, the bar and the lounge area were great too.
There are many historical artifacts and pictures placed around the hotel to remind of it's legendary history. The service was great too. A unique and wonderful stay.
