Hakime is the best thing about the Mandarin Oriental!!! She makes you feel right at home, the service is supreme and really I’ve never experienced anything like it! If you stay here ask for Hakime!!! She is the best!!

This is a very expensive review I am writing. I booked the hotel for 3 days as a romantic gate away. I was not informed that they do the perfume treatment in the room. I developed heavy migraine very fast, open balcony didnt help to ventilate. The hotel was kind to offer other rooms, however all had perfume odor. I had to leave the hotel immediately. The hotel charged me for the entire stay, no refund was approved. Poor experience.

Arrived at the hotel in the morning and checked in. As soon as I entered the room, I was shocked by the beautiful sunrise over the Strait! The room is spacious and luxurious, and you can see the beautiful scenery of the Strait in both the living room and the bedroom. The oysters, pizza and pasta in the Italian restaurant are unexpectedly delicious, and the service is also very good.

Nice hotel, great location but I wouldn’t necessarily go back again. Yes our room was really spacious, but the hygiene isn’t great and not what I expect from an MO property at all. I put on clean white socks and walked around the room for a few minutes before I put on my shoes and noticed they were black underneath from the dirt and dust. Not really acceptable, especially for a brand like this and in this price bracket. Service is 50/50 with some being very helpful and some being dry so it wasn’t consistent. For the prices that we paid we’d rather go to four seasons, as it’s almost the same.

The care, attention to detail and how well we were taken care of by the hotel management staff was exceptional and we had a lovely memorable stay. Can't say enough good things about the MO management team at the MO Boshphorus. By far the best hotel stay experience we have had with the venue, rooms, service, food and everything pretty perfect. Breakfast venue, service and F&B were awesome. Thank you also to Ozer, Ozgur and the rest of the front office team.

+ Hotel looks beautiful; location is great; gym is great; I was upgraded to better room
- No beer in the minibar; doors of toilet and bathroom have strange and uncomfortable handles from outside, while they open inside and in toilet you end up squeezing between toilet and door without a handle to pull; in Novikov restaurant we had a big bill and they made me go to the room and get a card to pay saying I can't charge to the room (probably because it was more than deposit) which was insulting - 1st time in my life I had this experience. You have my card details, I'm your guest after all and pay a lot for the room - and you doesn't allow me to charge to the room??
