Radisson Blu Hotel Istanbul Pera

We stayed at this hotel in January,2024. I think the best thing about the hotel was the location. It was only couple minutes to the closest subway station and walking distance to Taksim square and lots of restaurants and shopping centers. Rooms were neat and clean however bathroom fan never worked, we asked the reception but they said since there were not that many guests staying at the hotel, they can not turn it on which made no sense. I really liked the housekeeper lady Aygun, she was super nice and almost only smiley person in the hotel and always checked on us if we needed any towels, cleaning and etc. Some people at reception and the bar inside the hotel got an attitude.
I had my sister visited me at the bar in hotel lobby, we ordered some drinks and after a while, one of the employees told us that they are closed and we can’t sit there anymore. The hotel did not let my sister come up in my room at the first place so we had to sit at the bar lobby and then they asked us to leave. So rude! And we also had problem with our room key which stoped working over and over and we have been told that we should not keep the door key card close to our phone which drags the battery or something. Once again, what kind of reasons are these? Not professional at all!
Overall, I think the hotel is overrated, has no customer service. And would not recommend this hotel to anyone in terms of it does not worth what you get for the price.

The reception staff were initially nice. We booked a large upgraded room initially, and then the staff recommended we upgrade as it's available and it's much nicer.
So we did. Unfortunately the room did not live to it's reputation, the room was tiny, and you could barely walk in it without having to squeeze by, which had me think God forbid what kind of cell it would've been if we hadn't upgraded. The room was tired and compact. Couldn't sleep through the night as the AC was very loud and it was too hot.
Staff some were nice but majority seemed moody and can't be bothered attitude, not many spoke English or understood enough (they don't have to but working in an international business then they must)
Breakfast was very basic and staff were moody again. Prices in the cafe and restaurant were extortionate and tasted like cheap microwave food.
The pool was also tiny, and very cold, could barely fit if you were to stretch your arms out (slightly exaggerating here but you you get the point, was a few metres by a few more metres)

I'd definitely stay here again if it was at the cost of 5% of the current price, and it was refurbished with bigger rooms, breakfast and service, and upgraded from 2 stars to 3 star, then yeah definitely.

But with what you pay for and what you get I'd definitely recommend booking a 7 star Hotel, it'll probably be cheaper and all in legit.
