Lovely hotel with great staff, but lacked a few special touches

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Cosmopolitan Hotel — it’s a very clean, modern, and impressive property that certainly looks and feels like a 5-star hotel. The staff were all polite and welcoming, especially the housekeeping team who were excellent throughout our stay — always checking in, ensuring the room was spotless and well stocked. They went above and beyond to decorate our room beautifully to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary with balloons and rose petals, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch. The only small disappointment was that the cake slice mentioned never arrived, but I didn’t chase it up as I appreciated the effort regardless.

We arrived at around 4 a.m., and since check-in is at 2 p.m., nothing was offered on a complimentary basis. They did kindly offer early check-in at 8 a.m. for a small fee, which was reasonable. However, as we were checking out very early (around 3 a.m. on our last day), I did feel the hotel could have made a small exception, as effectively we were leaving about nine hours earlier than standard checkout. Other hotels we’ve stayed at in the past have been a bit more flexible in similar situations — but it is what it is.

We only dined at the hotel once during Arabian Night, and unfortunately, the buffet wasn’t to our taste. The selection was quite limited for the price, and the food was very basic compared to other hotels we’ve visited across the Middle East and North Africa, where there’s usually much more variety and flavour.

The atmosphere of the hotel was also quite calm and quiet — which might suit adults or business travellers more than families.

Overall, Grand Cosmopolitan is a beautiful hotel with great staff and excellent housekeeping, but for us personally, it lacked a few touches that make a stay truly memorable. With a bit more flexibility, atmosphere, and attention to detail, it could be an exceptional experience, for me personally the food was the biggest disappointment.

Our room was absolutely spotless; it was clean, fresh, and well-maintained. We had zero issues with housekeeping standards. Furthermore, every single member of the staff we encountered was polite, courteous, and willing to help. Their professionalism made the stay very pleasant. Booked here for a business trip. The hotel itself is located in Barsha area lots of food places/shops within close distance and a good selection too. They have a mosque close by too.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. We did have a slightly bad experience on the last night with the duty manager Alesia Kazenia. She really needs to stop coming across as a dictator maybe takes her job too personally.

All in all was a good hotel with good facilities with a rooftop pool etc. Rooms were nice and large with good sized bathrooms and a amazing shower.

Would i visit again yes i think so. Just point to note there is no amazing views from the rooms but don’t let you put that off!

The best hotel I have ever stayed in!
I experienced an exceptional standard of quality and service, all the staff are amazing, including everyone.
From the very first moment I received a warm and personal welcome, the reception staff were incredibly professional, patient and efficient, they showed me the room and explained everything to me, they made sure to explain clearly all the services available in the hotel. The room was spacious, maintained to a very high standard, clean to the point where you could eat off the floor, an extremely comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, a particularly high quality bathrobe and towels, including the towels at the pool. This is no longer just a hotel. Everything has been thought of to be perfect here, all the furniture in every comfortable place including the room, lobby, pool, everything is of a high standard.
The room is advanced. I felt in 2040. Everything is digital. There is both a shower and a bathtub. Everything is buttons to open curtains, close curtains, turn on lights. Everything is in one place, concentrated and clear. To please do not disturb the door, you do not have to get out of bed. You press a button, including collecting towels or changing sheets. Everything is on the button and everyone helps with the service.
The pool is elegant with several types of seating. There is a large gym. I did not work out in it so I cannot give a recommendation but I saw that it was larger than other hotels. There is a spa. I have not been there either, but everything is planned down to the smallest detail. I felt 4 days of relaxation and pampering. The food in the dining room was amazing, amazing, amazing, and the service was above and beyond.
Above all, the personal service and warm attitude from the entire staff made me feel not only as a guest, but as a precious and important person - and this is the main reason why I will definitely return to the hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect vacation.

We visited the hotel as part of an information tour of the UAE 🇦🇪 in February 2020. The hotel is absolutely new, at that time it had not even started accepting guests. Therefore, all the rooms are very fresh in excellent condition. Luxurious bathrooms. But there are strange rooms with windows inward, at the reception, the street is not visible. Someone may not like this. Excellent pool on the roof, very well equipped. There is a cool gym. I also liked the very friendly staff, mostly Russian-speaking (people from the CIS countries), so there will be no language barrier. I recommend the hotel 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great room, very clean and spacious. Location is good, very close to Mall
Of the Emirates. Breakfast was great and they had gluten free bread which is a plus. All of the staff were so accommodating, helpful and very friendly . They even found our missing suitcase which was driven off by our taxi driver by mistake!
