Hotel is a little long in the tooth. I picked it due to it's reasonably priced for Oktoberfest. It is quite a haul from the Theresienwiese, and it has been around at least 20 years without a major refresh. I had a reservation for Oktoberfest 2020 that was made in November of 2019. All email correspondence with the hotel was never returned. They refused to refund the amount, so don't pay ahead. It was a credit, that has been similar to pulling teeth to get applied to our bill of 3 October 2024. The interesting part is that due to booking early, I was able to get 2 days for 175 Euro. Well that barely covered one day, and due to me being so understanding about them holding on to my money for 4 years, they put us in the furthest room away from the elevator. I have to commend the staff at this Holiday Inn for only being corporate when convenient.

Rooms were sufficient for what was needed, sauna was lovely and quiet, on site gym is a converted bedroom but it has equiptment needed, bar service was a little slow to non existant but not an issue overall, close access to the underground and a supermarket
On the route to the underground there is an establishment that was suprisingly busy on the daily which i wasnt expecting in broad daylight 🤣🤣

We had a terrific time in Munich at this holiday inn. Good hot breakfast in a sit down restaurant, free for kids to eat. Pool was still closed unfortunately, but we had so much fun swimming in the Eisbahn. Very close to the Ubahn.

The rooms were alright, but the t.v was great. At the start, our tour group needed to wait 2 hours because someone did not do their work to organize the rooms. We waited such a long time, it was dark before we got our rooms. The breakfast was EXTREMELY unorganized. There were hundreds of people but only 30 or so seats. Many people had to leave the breakfast area to have a place to sit. Then, they wouldn't let people in after leaving. The food was great, but the service was bad. Everything was unorganized, and there were only 2 small elevators. The levels were extremely confusing as there were 2 of each floor. The levels were:K,E,E(again), 1,1(again) ,2,2(again) ,3,3(again) ,4,4(again), 5. All in all, the service was extremely bad, and I had a terrible time here.

Start a day with a good breakfast, clean room and the nearest metro station is around 7 minutes walking.
The Lidt Super Market just nearby (1-2 minutes walking) is a plus.

Very disappointing. Hotel is so tired it is almost at the stage it should be closed for immediate refurbishment. The room allocated was atrocious small dated no fridge kettle etc.
Even the balcony was a shocker dirty with no table or chairs . I have stayed in lots of Holiday Inns or over Europe. This was the worst. The breakfast was shocking and I was glad to get out . The garden area outside was dilapidated and not maintained. The garage for parking was closed so no parking except if you could find a place on the street which was very hard and inconvenient. I can’t understand how this keeps its brand name as a franchise it should be removed as it does not meet the standard required for a decent 4 star hotel .

Clean room, great staff, delicious breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, you can hear the street through closed windows, the same with other guests, which you can hear fairly well through the door.

Hummm. My room was fine but there was so much left to desire:
- Windows directly in front of a large construction site starting at 7am
- Bus-loads of Chinese and South American tourists
- swimming pool not opened, fact not disclosed at reservation or check-in
- Breakfast restaurant feeling squeezed and hectic.
- very remote.
OK if for me you are on a budget, with a car and the (tiny!!) swimming pool is important for a medical reason for example.

Great comfortable hotel close to city center. I have chosen this hotel as I was coming with a car and needed easy (ideally free or affordable) parking - street parking was available throughout the day and night and it was free. Hotel underground parking is currently unavailable due to re-refurbishment taking place but that will also be available eventually. In addition to that I needed a hotel which was well connected with easy and fast access to Munich - yes it was, underground Machtlfinger station is one corner away with a 5 minutes walk and you're in Marienplatz in around 10mins directly using the U3 after 9 stops!
Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, quick check-in with an excellent rich breakfast (pic attached)! I highly recommend this hotel and I will be visiting again once in Munich!

A decent room for a good price.
They also have family rooms.
They have a (free of charge) swimming pool, sauna and steam room in the basement. And, a (free of charge) gym on the first floor.
It is a 5 min walk to the U-Bahn station, which takes you to the city centre in 25 min.
