Holiday Inn Munchen Sud, an IHG Hotel

Hummm. My room was fine but there was so much left to desire:
- Windows directly in front of a large construction site starting at 7am
- Bus-loads of Chinese and South American tourists
- swimming pool not opened, fact not disclosed at reservation or check-in
- Breakfast restaurant feeling squeezed and hectic.
- very remote.

OK if for me you are on a budget, with a car and the (tiny!!) swimming pool is important for a medical reason for example.

We have mixed feelings about our stay.
Hotel's carpark not working but I've managed to find space all 4 nights on street within close proximity. Got family room which was very spacious with balcony. Balcony door could be opened for fresh air. UBahn(underground) station is just in 5 minutes walking distance and station is 20 minutes on train to city centre.
On arrival to room, wife went to adjust bedding and found some human hairs on pillowcases and covers on both beds. After complaint to reception all beddings was replaced on both beds at once. But to be honest it is inacceptable for 4 star hotel.
Beds were really comfortable. Every day room was getting cleaned by housekeeping, new towels put in bathroom - 10 out of 10 for housekeeping. Breakfast was excellent, great choice, all fresh and tasty - 10 out of 10 for breakfast!

So far it was really good experience, BUT on our last day evening I was walking down the stairs instead of using a lift. I didn't noticed but someone has dropped drink glass on stairs. I only noticed that when I've stepped on bottom part of the glass with 2 glass shards pointing up.
Glass has pierced my left foot through my shoe(quite expensive shoe). I went to reception to report glass on stairs and only got cold unfriendly reply what the broken glass shouldn’t be left on stairs and what where is no housekeeping after 6pm and she has nobody to send to clean it up...As a customer I don't even need to know that!
I walked out of the hotel where my family was waiting for me, and decided to check my foot - took shoe and sock off to find what I was bleeding where glass went through my shoe and into my foot. Not heavily but it was a fact! On discovery of my injury, I've returned to reception to show the picture of my bleeding foot and to state what it wasn’t me who broke this glass on first place as I felt what I was getting accused of braking it!
I got reply what she never accused me of dropping that glass. What got me angry and upset was she never asked me if I was ok and if I need any medical help... I was in foreign country to me and I don't even know how to get to hospital if need be. If it would happen in UK, I would raise injury claim and demand compensation for it!
Fortunately my both children and wife who walked on this stair in front of me didn't step on it as well. I thought what someone will thank me for reporting it so they can remove glass from stairs and avoid potential injury of other customers which didn't happened.
This was a shocking experience.
