We stayed there a few weeks ago for 6 days and we had an absolutely amazing experience at the resort. No complaints, the food was good, the rooms were clean and the overall service was excellent.
It was a safe area to live in, the beach was a 5 mins walk away which was convenient, with lots of things to do around and the views were beautiful.
The part that we loved most about the resort were all the lovely staff members who contributed to making our stay a wonderful one. Katherin and Freddy were welcoming at the reception, very friendly service from the waiters Dominga, Jose Miguel, Lendy, Maria, Santo and Sandra, and big shoutout to Albert who took really good care of us everyday!
Would totally recommend.

I'm at the hotel in Bavaro right now. As I write, there is human poo coming up through the bathroom floor. It stinks, it's really bad. I told the cleaner who said she couldn't help, and she told me to call reception who didn't answer. I walked to reception with a video of the situation and they told me to return at 3.30pm. No other room has been offered, nobody has been sent to investigate either. I know the reputation of this hotel chain, but sometimes convenience wins over, but never ever again will I set foot in one of these places. It should be shut down, this is a health and hygiene problem on an industrial scale, and yet not one member of staff is remotely concerned,

Zero Stars – A Serious Warning to Fellow Travellers! I strongly advise against staying at this resort. Our experience was deeply disappointing and raised multiple concerns regarding cleanliness, safety, and service. From the moment we arrived, we noticed an unpleasant odor throughout the property. The tap water smelled foul and felt unclean. The beach, which is shared with another hotel, was covered in seaweed that no one seemed to maintain or clear. Housekeeping was nearly nonexistent — our room was not cleaned for two full days until we complained. Even then, cleaning staff didn’t show up until 5 PM, which is completely unacceptable. More alarmingly, we had to request a room change because our door couldn’t lock properly — a major security issue. The room itself felt very outdated. Towels were old and worn, and no beach towels were provided at all. Nighttime was unbearable due to loud entertainment and karaoke, making it difficult to sleep. Food was another major letdown. The bacon tasted artificial, and the fish was clearly not fresh — it smelled unpleasant and made me feel sick. To top it off, check-in was slow and unorganized, and the overall service lacked professionalism and care. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had. I sincerely urge other travelers to reconsider before booking this place.

The hotel was decent, and the beach was beautiful. The service, including food and bar service, was good. Unfortunately, I have to give it a 1-star rating due to a serious incident. We placed our jewelry and money in the room safe, but someone from the hotel used a master key to enter our room, unlock the safe, steal our belongings, lock the safe again, and leave. Despite the presence of cameras and a clear digital footprint showing who accessed the room, the situation was "under investigation," but no action was taken, and our jewelry was never returned. This unfortunate event completely ruined our experience.

Do not stay ! Awful ! Rude staff completely disregarded British people. Old and tired , food bland, no cutlery busy dirty tables. Very basic facilities. Spanish evening entertainment extremely loud every night till late if you have a room over the pool area don’t expect to get to sleep before 12! Hit and miss hot water. Did not feel welcome at all. No lifts so struggle to take luggage up to the top floor with no offer of help from the staff . On arrival no booking so had to wait around till sorted at At 10 pm we were not offered a apology
Not enough sun loungers around the pool and again loud music all day not very relaxing
Beach 2 minute walk but not enough beds many broken and very busy found ourselves being butted up to other people, if you wanted a bed you have to get there at 8.30am. Loud all day with speed boats and party boats coming and going and continually being pestered by vendors.
If it’s a rainy day nothing to do at the hotel and nothing close by felt intimated if you ventured out of the hotel
Out of all the staff only 2 very friendly but did not go above and beyond
Pay for what you get definitely worth paying more for a better hotel or if your on a tight budget avoid don’t waste your hard earned money

The service was horrible. No one spoke any English at all at the resort. The drinks are watered down and no alcohol. The food is nasty and has no flavor. They only give you a sheet for your bed no blanket. There is a lot wrong with the way they run this place and the lack of quality. It should be everyone is treated the same and it’s not true for the price you pay. Last but not least there was a huge cockroach the size of a mouse that was running around the dining room that they did nothing about when we showed them.

At first, before I came to this hotel/ vacation I thought I wont enjoy it because of the bad reviews i read online. Today is our last day which is bitter sweet for my family and I. To the manager Jean, who was so nice to my family and i, and always complimenting me that i have such a beautiful smile and he said he’s going to miss seeing my smile on our last day. Jean made sure we have the best and comfortable experience on his hotel. The servers at the buffet and bar were also very kind. The server Franklin was so funny every time he comes see us he always greet us and give us some small talk. Special shout out also to the bartenders Robert and the other Jamaican Guy. Both him and Robert made sure they gave us the best cocktails. Its a small hotel but everyone greets you with a smile and their hospitable personality. Lastly, if I were to change anything/recommend anything about this hotel is I hope there will be more restaurants in thr future and we can access the sky bar, because the sky bar was jus so marvellous that everyone should see it. Thank you, everyone who works here for giving us such a wonderful stay

"A place that makes you wish you were home..."
Right out of the bat, all the reviews about the water having a weird smell, the resort having a weird smell, the salt water on the faucet, pool and other areas... Are true.
This place holds a special place in my heart, being on the top of my mind when I think of sticky skin and humid air. Not to anyone's surprise, the experience was not the best, there is no parking, the lobby service is a mess, to put it nicely, we were the only ones there when we arrived and still the checking was like 30-40 min.
In a situation like that you'll say, well, at least let's enjoy what we can, let's get wasted and forget about the bad... The alcohol ran out. Twice in one weekend. When i tell you I was ready to leave by noon on my second day, I'm not lying.
Not all was bad, Evelyn, a bartender, saved the weekend with her services alongside almost all of the staff in the premises, everyone was really putting in the work to make this thing keep going, well, them and a group of Colombian tourists that make the pain go away, even if just a little bit, because it looked like the drinks at the hotel were hitting times two for them.

It was a lovely trip and everyone was super friendly and nice. This is not the Hilton but they make do with what they have and are very accommodating to their guest. The rooms and food are basic, if you are looking for a nice place to vacation but don’t want to break the bank, I recommend. They also have entertainment every evening.
I also would recommend taking pictures on the beach with their photographer (Stepy), they came out great and were affordable!

Stayed at this hotel last week. Had a good experience. Our room was quaint. Small, but that was all we needed as we were only in the room to sleep. It was also on the quiet side which was great. And close / very close to the beach.
But this hotel is Not Beachfront. So no ocean view unfortunately. The food was very good. No complaints.. and lots to choose from.
My only complaint is that in all the resort photos etc it is misleading to the public as we are unable to use or go up to the sky bar unless we pay. And even if we pay the $20 usd then we still could not go into the pool. So I didn't bother.
Also online it stated this hotel was adults only which it was not. I didn't mind. But the hotel which we share the beach with is the adults only 18+ hotel.
Overall I had a good stay. The beach bar was convenient. The snack bar was open until 2am. There was 1 buffet & 1 a la cart restaurant which was fair as well. The resort is small so everything is fairly easy to get to.
And lastly yes the shower is salt water. Lol they give you water bottles in your room to brush teeth as well as for drinking. They also have water refill stations on every level of the buildings. The maids were very sweet. Overall I had a good stay but if your looking for luxury beach front / ocean view then this hotel is Not for you.
