Very good breakfast and location. A real vintage hotel wi th historical background. All good, except for the weak sound proofing wall between rooms. We could hear the sound from next door so clearly which was definitely not very child friendly.
Charming and comfortable hotel. Good service and very good breakfast.
We got to use the Zen Spa for an hour (16 €) which was atmospheric. The water in the jacuzzi could have been warmer. Otherwise wonderful!
I love the experience here , the location is close to everywhere and the receptionists are good
Especially Kelvin
I booked a zen room on Trip.com, it was a special offer. When I arrived at the hotel, I was first given a standard room because the reservation had come with them as a standard room instead of a zen room. They apologized, but they also kept repeating that they would upgrade me for free. It's not an upgrade that I get a room that I have paid for and that Trip.com sold me. They should and should have...

Always stay in this hotel. Nice rooms, swimming pool, breakfast. Near a sea
It is such a nice place to spend time and to enjoy scenario of nature from the hotel territory.
Built for the olympic games in 80s. Quite ok place to stay. Good prices
Friendly and helpful service! Big hotel and even though is dated is well maintained. Good prices and great for families.
It needs to be renovated from outside, but inside it looks great. The room was clean and it had a view of the sea and sunset. Morning buffet was fresh and not too crowded. I liked that theres a buzyness thermometer for the breakfast in the elevator to let you know when yould be the most ideal time to go eat. Reception could be friendlier but I have no complaints other than that.
Hotel is amazing! Rooms are spacious and clean. The furniture looks new and is really comfortable! Bathroom and toilet are both with room and are separated, meaning you don't have to wait for your husband/wife to finish to go in. Most of the rooms have sea and city view! Which is amazing at evening/night from the hotel bar! The staff ia really friendly and helpful! Drinks are delicious and dinner/breakfast...

We have stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel looks worse than on the pictures. The room was small, the bathroom wasn't perfectly clean. The receptionist was unfriendly. The temperature at the elevator was way too hot. I liked the breakfast, there were a lot of options, only the coffee was undrinkable. Good location, close to the city center.
Hotel is small but the room was big, we reserved family room. There was small kitchen which is plus point. It was hard to find smiley faced staffs. Breakfast was not bad but the dinning place was congested. Location very good near to old city.
4 stars for great location! But the hotel interior was less than ordinary. No fridge or cooler. Bed was small and too soft. Maybe a bit noisy if facing the train station side.
This hotel is near bus stop, train station and grocery store
Very convenient to travel to old town
Hotel has perfect location near to the old town. We booked it online and forgot to order breakfast. We pay it on the place and it cost 12€ per person and is not worth for what you get. Coffee was not drinkable( filtered coffee) so I need to order extra esspresso for 3€. Rather go for breakfast to the city. 20€ fee for dog is too much but we got some treats and bags for poops. Charming and gets all the basics right.
I usually only review hotels if they are bad, but this hotel was excellent for the price. From the warm welcome to the excellent breakfast, this hotel does all the essentials right. It's also much bigger than the impression it gives.
Yes, the rooms are a bit worn, but they are charming and clean. The staff I encountered were warm and passionate about Tallinn...
The hotel is extremely central, a few steps away from Town Hall square in the old town. The hotel is built around a central courtyard and many of the rooms overlook the courtyard. It is very quiet and there is no traffic on the road outside as it is within the old town pedestrianised area. However, it’s easy to take a Bolt (an Estonian company, in case you didn’t know) to the airport or elsewhere,...
Didn't see the what was on the pictures. Beware if you get ground floor room - they are below courtyard level, so only view you have is one people having at you. In our room - only window was in the door. No central air, but some plastic fan that runs at same speed whatever button you press. Since leaving window open - meant leaving door open - not much freshness.
Second - no welcome drink (literally...
Stayed here for three nights in the courtyard suite. The rooms were spacious and full of charm but it wasn’t the cleanest of accommodation. The bed had an old mattress with a mattress topper with the base sheet wrapped only around the topper. The bathroom was large but needed updating.
Service was often mixed. The guy who welcomed us on arrival was great. First morning we went for breakfast and waited...
Perfect location, super close to the main square, restaurants, pubs and shops. Room was perfect, shower power was serious!
I didn't snap any pictures of my room.
Friendly, helpful service. Old Tallinn has a lot of vibe. I will post pictures of some spots that are all extremely close to the Hotel. I also found Merchant's House affordable.
I am so happy we booked this hotel. We had the most wonderful stay! The service was more than excellent and the location was great. We got upgraded to a suite with our own sauna, which was just amazing. Part of the breakfast was made upon ordering and the staff was very helpful, they even made me a waffle when I was about to do it myself. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this hotel. Highly recommend

A very comfortable hotel with professional staff, a quiet and comfortable environment, and very convenient transportation,a bus stop right outside.
Excellent hotel! Everything was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The service was top-notch, fast, and efficient. The staff was polite and always ready to help. I had only positive impressions. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!
Our room was spacious with modern amenities and very clean. The location is good, just a short walk from downtown.
The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of fresh options. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We should definitely mention Lada Lestsenski for her outstanding service, friendliness and smile that was brighten up our day during our stay.
Excellent hotel with friendly staff and very clean rooms. Deniss and Eva were extremely helpful in helping us get a Romantic Spa Night. I definitely recommend it for just 99€.

Charming Historical Hotel in Tallinn.
The St. Olav Hotel offers a charming and historic atmosphere right in the heart of Tallinn. The building is full of character, with its medieval architecture and cozy ambiance. However, be aware that the hotel has many levels and uneven stairs, which might be a bit inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage or difficulty with mobility.
Breakfast is primarily savory...
Whimsical and full of character. Maze like corridors and steep steps. We stayed in the top floor. Basically on the attic. Room's toilet smelled little bit damp. Hence the 4 star review. Amazing location. Dog friendly, but no additional ameneties for pets e.g. bowls, doggybed etc
Loved the old (historic) feeling, and our room was so spacious. Location was amazing, so central in Old Town.
Lifts would ruin the historic feel, but it would help if you're on the 3rd floor and have 20kg luggage bags to take up. All part of the funny story we have to tell now - loved the hotel otherwise.
If you dont have to pay to include break, rather dont. Its not that great
This hotel is fabulous. It has a castle feeling to it, the corridors are like a maze with exposed stonework and wood beams. The rooms are clean and fully equipped with everything you need. The bathroom was spotless with good shower pressure. Also, the location is very close to everything, especially the main square. Fully recommend staying here
at first time they asked me 20€ for a two-hour EARLY check-in. After a claim by email they gave me a ready room free of charge at 10:00
For the rest, everything is just in the average. The classic furnishings are pleasant. The toilets need updating. The staff is moderately rude and unsmiling. I suggest to take care more customers.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Centrally located, we could easily walk to all the must see places in the old town. Breakfast was good and had a variety of options, and the hotel restaurant "Mix" is incredible.

There were black hairs in the bathroom, the window could not be opened fully, only tilted. We couldn't ventilate. No air conditioning, just a fan to stir the stale air trapped inside. We propped the door open with a shoe so that we could at least ventilate a little towards the corridor. The location is superb, the breakfast is excellent, the breakfast lady is very nice.
Since the building is old, there is no AC. Might get hot on upper floors during hot days.
But the rooms are quite soundproof.
Breakfast options are quite limited, but the staff is awesome.
All in all great place to stay, especially going for vacations and exploring marvelous Tallinn.

Great Hotel and Spa, But Disappointing Breakfast

Wonderful boutique hotel slap bang in the centre of Tallinn Old Town. Fantastic staff, rooms are spacious and scrupulously clean. Will be returning!
Perfect location. Perfect customer service at the reception. Perfect room.
Everything was perfect. The room was more than clean. All of the possible essentials were in the room. The location was great. If you want to visit the Old Town, this hotel is ideal.
Really quirky hotel which looks tiny from the outside, but keeps going + going once you get inside. The location is amazing + the rooms are comfortable, keeping the spirit of the original building. There will be some noise from nearby bars/clubs until very early in the morning... bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper!
We had an incredible stay at this hotel – everything about it exceeded my expectations. The location is ideal, right on the edge of the Old Town, making it super easy to explore the charming cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and cozy cafes of Tallinn.
The service was exceptional from start to finish – warm, professional, and always happy to help. I stayed in a suite room, which was spacious...
My 5 night stay at this hotel was perfect. The well-preserved building at the center of the beautiful Old Town of Tallinn has spacious rooms, bright, comfortable and clean. Guests get a lovely feeling of living in history. The staff are polite and efficient. The breakfast was enjoyable with selected sweet and savory options of good quality products. Lastly, the WiFi was working well.
