Tallink City Hotel in Tallinn

Disappointing
Good location for old town and port. Was informed restaurant would be closed , when we arrived tired and with mobility issues meaning we had to arrange somewhere for dinner (recommend Belgian restaurant near Hotel).
No coffee/milk, though reception provided once we asked. Bed sheets and loose mattress topper kept moving. Staff not particularly helpful especially in bar. Breakfast was good. Doesn’t compare with the other Scandinavian hotels we used on this trip.

They downgraded my room because they were allegedly booked full, but then they offered the family next to us checking in a free suite upgrade, not two minutes after I had asked for an upgrade that I was offering to pay for. I was downgraded instead. They did give us some fruits and a bottle of Cava to try and make up for the downgraded, but a partial refund would have been more appropriate, or mot having the audacity to give people right next to me a free upgrade after denying my requestand then downgrading me on top of it.
The staff didn't seem to care on any level about whether or not we'd be coming back, so I guess I shouldn't care about coming back either.
The only positive I can say is that our tiny room was quite clean.
I've stayed at all of the major hotels in Tallinn, and I can suggest any of them over this, after how bad the service was. Especially for someone who had already paid for a better room and who was willing to pay even more.
