we stayed for 2 nights in the Salamanca location. great staff so helpful with suggestions. nice size deluxe room facing courtyard very quiet for a good nights sleep. even a welcome drink. loved the location could walk to many sites shopping etc

First time ever writing a review for a hotel. This hotel is not great.
Images are kinda deceiving and biggest thing is we booked a room with a king bed, and got 2 separate twin beds connected, and the sheets are scratchy. Not the experience we are looking for.

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location to explore Madrid. For anyone considering visiting Madrid for their first time and looking for a good place to stay which is well located to the city centre buy also quiet and comfortable then this is the place to stay.
We had a room for 3 people on the 4th floor, the room was modern and very clean & at night it was totally silent so we slept well. There is a bar downstairs which has a small menu but the food quality is very good. All the staff are very friendly and the front desk speak perfect English which makes check in & out very easy. There is also a metro station directly outside which can get you to other parts of the city very easily.
I would be more than happy to stay hear again in the future.

Fantastic hotel - especially liked the location in Madrid. It’s away from the business of the centre, yet you can walk there in 15 mins. Also right beside a metro station. The local neighborhood has lots of great shops and cafes. Rooms are modern and nicely furnished, and the staff were very friendly.

From the check-in to our departure, the service was excellent. I have stayed in many other more luxurious hotels that did not provide such a warm welcome. Additionally, the room was great and though located on a busy street there was no noise to be heard. I would definitely recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I booked a weekend stay in Madrid through Booking.com, and the listing clearly stated that I would be able to pay at the property. Less than 24 hours after receiving my booking confirmation, the hotel charged my card without prior notice and canceled my reservation. This left me scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute.
When I contacted the hotel, they informed me that there was a hidden policy allowing them to charge my card early due to high demand. This policy was never made clear during the booking process, and I was not given any opportunity to address the situation before my reservation was canceled.
This unprofessional handling of my reservation caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I will not be booking with this hotel again and do not recommend it to others.

Great Location. Breakfast is appropriate with a nice variety, coffee is better at the bar where they have a proper espresso machine and not the automatic one at the breakfast hall.
The rooms have a good intention of being nice and new, minor details, nothing important. Mine was a high floor and no noise from traffic reached the room, only the occasional door slammed from other rooms on the hallway.
No reception. Just the desk in the entrance hallway.
It’s ok if you need a confortable hotel and breakfast while you’re visiting the city.

Lovely spacious room, very friendly staff. The bar and the pool were lovely; bar staff spoke very basic English, but of course we are in Spain so this is not a problem at all!
The hotel is set just far enough away from the hubbub of central Madrid and Plaza Mayor, but within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.

My family really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Goya. We have three children which always makes hotels hard. We were able to book adjoining rooms with a triple and a double. It was perfect. The small but lovely pool gave great respite from heat. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast great. The whole place had a relaxed and well cared for vibe. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you!

I could not recommend this hotel enough. Great, clean and spacious rooms. The staff were so helpful, in particular the night receptionist who went above and beyond when we stayed from 3rd-6th August. He definitely deserves special recognition for his efforts. A good location with a metro nearby. Un placer!
