ILUNION Pio XII Hotel in Madrid

The hotel is situated a fair distance from the main city center and popular tourist areas. However, this distance was easily manageable. Using ride-sharing services (like Uber) made the trip to the heart of the city quick and convenient, which was a significant plus for getting around without hassle.
The room was clean and reasonably sized. Everything worked as expected.
The staff was polite and handled check-in/check-out efficiently.

The only good thing here is:
Breakfast 🍳
Variety of food and it’s all good and delicious
The rooms are not that clean
Not enough tea or coffee
No water bottles
No tissues
Not enough towels
It’s frustrating
The staff are friendly and welcoming

Nice hotel, rooms very well maintained. The necessary amenities are there and in good condition without a ton of frills. Pleasant, sparkling clean washrooms with showers of remarkable water pressure! Great service from all the staff we encountered.

Location is a bit out of the way, but fine if you're looking for a quiet short stay.

We’ve hosted several professional events at Hotel ILUNION Pio XII and continue to return for a reason. The event coordination team is truly exceptional — Ainhoa and Alejandro, in particular, go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. Their flexibility, attention to detail, and can-do attitude make a real difference.

The meeting spaces are well equipped, and the guest rooms are modern, clean, and consistently praised by attendees. The hotel’s location is convenient and quiet, with easy access to transport and the city center.

Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and professional venue in Madrid.

What an amazing hotel & team. We checked out after two nights and left with our luggage to catch the train home. Then the 'blackout' happened and we were stuck in Madrid with nowhere to sleep, no cash, and very little food and water. We had our ten year old daughter with us so we were worried. We ended up going back to the hotel just so that we would have some shelter and were prepared to sleep on the floor in the reception area. The manager and the team were incredibly kind and sensitive. They fed us all with the only food they were able to prepare and declined payment or help. Then they even gave us all bedrooms for the night which brought tears to our eyes - such kindness. The next morning they refused to accept any payment. We could not believe such kindness and selfless generosity. They all worked so hard to ensure that all of us were not hungry and sleeping on the street .

This is a fabulous hotel. The service is impeccable, breakfast delicious, and rooms and bed very comfortable. The location is good if your destination is Chamartín station but not if you want to be near the Sol area. I will definitely be back!

The location is a bit far from the city center, but it is great because you can take bus number 150 in front of the hotel and go straight to the city center. The facilities and breakfast are both good.

We stay in this hotel and on the day of our check out was blackout. It was my birthday and I want to say a big thank for the all team in hotel! Thanks for providing room, food! Thank you for hosting and humanity! In addition to that, we spent three nights in this hotel! It located close to the train station. It is good value for money! I highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was really kind and helpful, the dinner menu in their restaurant isn't extensive but it was delicious and you get continental breakfast too.
Not quite in the center but their is shops, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, 10 pin bowlings roller discos and other things at walking distance from the hotel. Public transport available nearby: The bus stops are basically onthe front of the hotel and the metro station (Pio XII) is 5 min walk away (24 min away from city center by metro)
