City Park Hotel Bangkok Pratunam in Bangkok

As much as it is under Furama, i felt like it was not up to standard in some aspects. The lift seems to have no sensors, we were exiting the lift halfway, pushing our luggage out but it kept closing on us. The hotel also seems a bit old, although there are stains on pillow cases when we arrived, it was billed to us upon check-out. The deposit was a lot higher than other hotels nearby and I definitely will not return, it does not even have laundry service…

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, especially as an Indian traveller. I want to share this so other Indian guests know what they might face. THEY HATE INDIAN GUEST

First, I was shocked to learn from the reception staff that deluxe rooms receive no basic amenities, while only grand deluxe and higher categories do. This was never communicated during booking, and it felt misleading.

What disturbed me most was the attitude of one of the receptionists, which came across as unfriendly and dismissive towards me as an Indian guest. Many Indians travel to Thailand and contribute significantly to tourism, yet the treatment I received made me feel unwelcome.

A particular incident made things worse: I had a small box and requested the bellboy to send it to my room. The receptionist refused, saying “boxes are not allowed in the room.” Yet I personally witnessed other guests—particularly Chinese tourists—taking much larger items to their rooms without any issue. When I pointed this out, I was simply told that it was allowed for them but not for me.
This felt like clear discriminatory behavior, and it left a very negative impression.

Overall, my stay was uncomfortable, and I did not feel respected as a guest. Indian travellers may want to be cautious when considering this property, as my experience raised serious concerns about how guests are treated differently.

With the price of hotel, its not complete for amenities, no slippers, no laundry bag, no tisu on the table, no toothbrush, and coffee tea for my kids room and no cleaning
