The facilities and staff were great. Very friendly team. Kempinski is located right next to a mall and the free shuttle services were very handy. They even come and pick you up!
The breakfast was good, however, I did expect a lot more from the taste and quality of the food given their reputation.
My greatest disappointment would be the push from the reception on my last day. They kept on calling to rush is to check out which I really did not appreciate.
Tip: The queen rooms seem a lot bigger than the twin beds. Also, make sure that your room overlooks the pool.
The rest is amazing, pool is like a little oasis surrounded by white remparts keeping you away from the noisy siam roads and train station. There's not that much direct sun, which can be surprising at first but remember that Bangkok has a really warm weather and seeking shades is part of it.
The breakfast buffet is more than nice, except maybe for the pastries which are in my opinion far from the French or Italian real pastries.
The restaurant and the niche bar are both good, exactly what you expect from this kind of place, nice staff. Delicious cocktails, tremendous amount of teas and beverages of all sort.
Our room was a deluxe one on the 8th floor with a balcony pool view and a bath.
Room was clean and spacious with a flat screen and desk plus an amazing bed, comfy and huge.
I guess the only bad thing I'll say is that the rotunda bar (the outside near the swimming pool bar) closes around 7pm, it could have been nice to keep it open during the night.
I totally recommend this hotel, in family or couple!
We only came here for dinner Sra Bua but we were struck by the attention to detail in the lobby with its massive waiting area complete with a beautiful water feature and cavernous ceiling adorned with marble and accented with floor-to-ceiling hardwood shuttered windows.
