The hotel made a very good impression, we had a room on the fourth floor with a view of the Galata Bridge and Sultanahmet, the view is stunning, the room itself is stylishly decorated, high-quality materials, everything is tastefully selected, and all this for 75 euros per night! If we ever come to Istanbul again, we will definitely stay here!

Nice hotel. Breakfasts are delicious. Cleaning is daily. There is a hammam. Near the Galata Tower, within walking distance.

The Galata MGallery is perfectly located. We found that everything we wanted to see was either walking distance or a short car ride away. The hotel is also beautifully decorated, with an incredible breakfast and views. The restaurant is also very good. And the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. I asked to check out late (3pm) because my car to the airport was picking me up at 4pm and they accommodated me without issue. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book here again, no question!

A lovey boutique style hotel which is deserving of five stars. The hotel is not huge but this is the heart of Galata which is very busy and most hotels are on the smaller side. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are unique in their decor. The hotel seems quite new and the shower is noteworthy. Recommended.

I really can't say enough nice things about this hotel - the short version is just book this place if you're considering it, you absolutely won't be disappointed! I had a nightmare experience with another hotel and had called to ask some questions about the location. Once I arrived, Ulas took great care of me and set me up with a great room room for a reasonable rate and with breakfast included. This hotel is such a charming spot with the painted ceilings and many of the features it includes from its origins as a bank. Ulas was also especially helpful when it came to restaurant and tour reservations - you'll really enjoy working with him if you're fortunate enough to do so! Every member of the staff, from the reception to the restaurant, was so accommodating and kind. They really went the extra mile to make sure I had a positive impression of both Istanbul and the hotel after a bumpy start to my arrival at a different hotel. Thank you so much to this wonderful team - I can't wait for the opportunity to stay again in future!

First and foremost is the location of the hotel, which is great. Close to Galata tower and an easy starting point to walk to a large number of spots you want to visit. From restaurants to rooftop bars, to the main (shopping) streets. The main mosques are also reachable by foot, but will take a while, although highly recommended as there is so much to see and it is very nice to walk through Istanbul. Furthermore the hotel is very modern and decorated in a stylish and yet still Turkish manner. The hotel is located in an old bank, with old parts (such as the vault) is kept, giving it a very chic look. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When needing at taxi or tips or directions the staff is very supportive. There is a very nice restaurant located on the second floor, which offers an impressive breakfast buffet with all the international and local options you can think of. The rooms are quite spacious, well maintained and very clean. And the bed are very comfortable. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone!
Only attention points are that it seems the rates have gone up significantly after our stay. For the rates we paid it is certainly value for money, however I could argue that now. However, the cost of everything in Turkey (especially in Istanbul) have increased significantly, and unfortunately seem to keep increasing at the same rate.

I had a wonderful stay at The Galata Istanbul Hotel - MGallery and am pleased to give it a 5-star rating. The room type I initially chose was good, and while the view wasn’t exactly what I hoped for, the staff was very accommodating, showing me two rooms of the same category to choose from. I ultimately decided to upgrade to a room with a Bosphorus view, which was well worth it.

The area around the hotel is absolutely wonderful, steeped in history and located near the iconic Galata Tower. The hotel itself has a rich history, as it was once an Italian bank. There are plenty of different restaurants and cafes in the area, offering a variety of dining options. However, it’s worth noting that reaching the hotel by car during rush hours can be challenging due to traffic. Despite that, the overall experience, from the service to the comfort, was exceptional, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Service was TERRIBLE the staff are so so rude and unhelpful. Housekeeping took our room keys and left our doors wide open so all our stuff could be stolen and then we had to change rooms and the staff were so rude and unhelpful and gave us a smaller room than we originally booked. The new room was on level 1 and was so loud it was impossible to sleep (original room on level -1 was fine). They told us we could have a complimentary drink and snack for the inconvenience and then upon checkout tried to charge us 1000 lira for a glass of wine and a snickers bar that we had as a snack. They charged our card for it then we said we needed a refund and they pretended their card machine wasn’t working and wouldn’t give us the cash back. The staff were so rude to and yelled at us and called us liars. Honestly disgusting service they were so rude throughout the stay. In addition the cleanliness of the rooms is definitely not to a ‘5 star’ standard. Towels were dirty with marks, the cleanliness wasn’t terrible but definitely not as good as it should be for the price. Would not recommend. Did not feel safe as female travellers with the way the staff treated us. So thoroughly disappointed as someone who stays in Accor hotels every week and is normally very impressed this is the worst experience I’ve had.

We stayed here in February,2024. The hotel is super cute, there is a security at the entrance so feels safe, rooms are clean but little less spacious than other regular rooms. Service is nice, reception people were friendly and helpful. Location is good if you like walking since it requires some walking to the center. I really liked the location cuz you almost hear no noice so you will get a good sleep if you choose staying here. Overall, I would recommend anyone, I think it is a decent boutique hotel which will make your vacation more pleasant.

This just isn't a 5-star hotel. The staff are generally pleasant, but not really that good at their jobs. Sound-proofing in the rooms is terrible. We were woken up the first night by a lot of noise from someone walking around the floor above. Our room overlooked the lobby area. When a very loud group of women were still partying in the lobby at 11:30 p.m. I called reception. Nothing happened except 10 minutes later a man knocked on our door and said that I could close the window and put on the air-conditioning.! The noise finally subsided before 1:00 a.m. - although we were woken up again around 5:00 a.m. by another group talking it up in the lobby. The view from the restaurant - which you have to climb up a long staircase to get to - is spectacular. The Galata area is nice and it is an easy walk to the light rail from the hotel. We would have liked some tourist assistance but there was no Concierge and the "Guest Services" desk was permanently unoccupied. Having the Hamam on-site was good. Overall, it was a pretty poor experience and not up to the usual Accor Gallery M standards.
