Sofitel Taksim Hotel

This hotel is pretty good, but I wouldn’t classify it as exceptional. There are much better hotels around Istanbul that fuel more luxurious and authentically Turkish.

The staff are genuinely kind and will go out of their way to help you, which was really wonderful, especially because my mother was having mobility issues at the time. This really stuck out to me.

The breakfast buffet is truly wonderful. They have a French pastry chef and the croissants rival some of my favorites in Paris. The only room for improvement is that staff does not monitor the buffet when there are children around and so you have to be careful that you are not picking up food that has been touched or sneezed on.

The room was very clean but it felt dark. Our room key kept on deactivating as well, which was annoying because we had to walk quite far to get to our room and as I mentioned, my mom had mobility issues and there was no place for her to sit down and wait for me as I dealt with the room key issue.

The other thing worth mentioning is that the restaurant, airport transfer, and spa service prices are exorbitant. Feeling like I’m getting ripped off and I felt that way at many points in this day. For example, my mother paid around $120 for a one-way airport transfer which is absurd because the standard rate in Istanbul is around $40.

The hotel is in a good location right in the middle of Taksim. The rooms are nice, albeit the view isn't great for rooms that have the non-city view - it's just a view of neighbouring offices and buildings. The outdoor swimming pool is being overlooked by a lot of office buildings so not great for privacy. Indoor spa and swimming pool facilities are great. We kept getting harassed by the staff to buy some food or drink every time we went out to the outdoor reception area - really poor customer service in this area. Overall still a very good hotel.

Thank you to Muhammadosa, a man from Indonesia with a good attitude and good room service. Even though he was busy working on other rooms, he still served me in a friendly manner. I don't know how old you are, but I see that you are very responsible for your work. I hope that when you grow up, you will be a successful person.

The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were super helpful and attentive to all of our needs. We will definitely stay again.

This is the place to stay in Istanbul. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. It truly felt like home. The Bosporus view is incredible. The staff were attentive, polite and cared about us. Even when there was a misunderstanding (entirely caused by us), they were respectful the entire time. They quickly called us after we left to let us know that we forgot our wallet and money in the room. They went above and beyond for us. We are forever grateful to this excellent 5 star treatment and rooms.

Sofitel Istanbul Taksim never stops bringing me pure joy and comfort, it has truly become my second home, and the incredible team there, my second family. They go above and beyond, celebrating my birthdays with genuine warmth and always taking such care of me and my loved ones during our stays.

Mewah dan elegant, no need Word to explain

The room are spacious, comfortable, and clean, with good service. It's best to choose a higher floor in the main building for better views and natural lighting. We didn’t opt for breakfast. The hotel is located near a lively square. Across the street is Istiklal Avenue, a bustling pedestrian street filled with shops, restaurants, and currency exchange shops. Walking left for about 10-15 minutes leads to two supermarkets. The square next to the hotel has two metro stations, making transportation convenient. One metro line connects to the seaside light rail—just one stop away, saving you from walking uphill or downhill. About a 10-minute walk away is a bus station with direct service to the airport, costing 275 lira.

Excellent central location, you get any type of shops just step out the hotel. Metro, bus stops & tram accesses nearby to go to any attractions.
The restaurants offer excellent quality of breakfast & dinning experience. The deck top dinning area outsides the restaurant offers stunning view.
The room more modern, spacious and with top quality of amenities.
It's one of the best hotel we ever stayed.
